Surah Al-Jathiyah (Crouching) — سورة الجاثية - **Verse:** 16 / 37 · **Juz:** 25 · **Mushaf page:** 499 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-jathiyah/verse-16 ## Arabic وَلَقَدْ اٰتَيْنَا بَن۪ٓي اِسْرَٓائ۪ـلَ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَاهُمْ مِنَ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَفَضَّلْنَاهُمْ عَلَى الْعَالَم۪ينَۚ ## Transcription Walaqad atayna banee isra-eelaalkitaba walhukma wannubuwwatawarazaqnahum mina attayyibati wafaddalnahumAAala alAAalameen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We gave the Book and Judgement and Prophethood to the tribe of Israel and provided them with good things and favoured them over all other people. ### Progressive Muslims And We had given the Children of Israel the Scripture, and the judgment, and the prophethood, and We provided them with good provisions; and We preferred them over the worlds. ### Shabbir Ahmed And, indeed, We gave to the Children of Israel the Scripture, the Rule and a succession of Prophets, and provided them with good things and bestowed upon them bounties more than other nations of the time.
