But the Quran has used it as a technical term for “admonition”, which comes as a precept. Thus all the Books that had been sent down to the Messengers were zikr, and the Quran is also zikr. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Acting against their own best interests, they accuse the Messenger of falsehood; they mockingly say to him: "O you who claim to have received the divine message from heaven, you are indeed insane or demoniac". ### Bijan Moeinian The disbelievers make mockery saying: "This Mohammad guy who claims to receive divine revelation is nothing but a crazy person.
