Surah Al-Hijr (The Rock) — سورة الحجر - **Verse:** 22 / 99 · **Juz:** 14 · **Mushaf page:** 262 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-hijr/verse-22 ## Arabic وَاَرْسَلْنَا الرِّيَاحَ لَوَاقِـحَ فَاَنْزَلْنَا مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ مَٓاءً فَاَسْقَيْنَاكُمُوهُۚ وَمَٓا اَنْتُمْ لَهُ بِخَازِن۪ينَ ## Transcription Waarsalna arriyaha lawaqihafaanzalna mina assama-i maanfaasqaynakumoohu wama antum lahu bikhazineen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We send forth the pollinating winds and send down water from the sky and give it to you to drink. And it is not you who keep its stores. ### Progressive Muslims And We have sent the winds to pollinate, and We sent down water from the sky for you to drink. And it is not you who are keeping it in storage. ### Shabbir Ahmed And We send the winds as pollinators that fertilize plants, and cause water to come down from the height for you to drink. Who holds the stores of the Universe? You don't. It is not you who store it up. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And We send the winds fertilizing (to fill heavily the clouds with water), then cause the water (rain) to descend from the sky, and We give it to you to drink, and it is not you who are the owners of its stores [i.e. to give water to whom you like or to withhold it from whom you like]. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And We send the fecundating winds, then cause the rain to descend from the sky, therewith providing you with water (in abundance), though ye are not the guardians of its stores. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran We send fertilizing winds, and bring down rain from the sky for you to drink.
