Which He compelled against them seven nights and eight days without let; and thou mightest see the people therein lying prostrate like stumps of hollow date-palms.

سَخَّرَهَا عَلَيْهِمْ سَبْعَ لَيَالٍ وَثَمَانِيَةَ اَيَّامٍۙ حُسُوماً فَتَرَى الْقَوْمَ ف۪يهَا صَرْعٰىۙ كَاَنَّهُمْ اَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍ خَاوِيَةٍۚ
