Surah Al-Hajj (The Pilgrimage) — سورة الحج - **Verse:** 61 / 78 · **Juz:** 17 · **Mushaf page:** 338 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-hajj/verse-61 ## Arabic ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ يُولِجُ الَّيْلَ فِي النَّهَارِ وَيُولِجُ النَّهَارَ فِي الَّيْلِ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَم۪يعٌ بَص۪يرٌ ## Transcription Thalika bi-anna Allaha yoolijuallayla fee annahari wayooliju annaharafee allayli waanna Allaha sameeAAun baseer ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley That is because Allah merges night into day and merges day into night and because Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing. ### Progressive Muslims That is because God merges the night in the day, and He merges the day in the night. But the deeper meaning of the verse is that Allah, Who is able to bring forth the light of the day out of the darkness of the night, has the power to bring out the light of the truth out of the darkness of disbelief and ignorance, and the light of justice out of the darkness of tyranny. - [3] He hears everything and sees everything and is not unaware of anything. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab This is it, for Allah Who causes the night to lose its character and identity by absorption into the day and causes the day to lose its character and identity by absorption into the night is indeed able to keep His promise and His support to whom He will.
