Surah Al-Furqan (The Criterion) — سورة الفرقان - **Verse:** 75 / 77 · **Juz:** 19 · **Mushaf page:** 365 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-furqan/verse-75 ## Arabic اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ يُجْزَوْنَ الْغُرْفَةَ بِمَا صَبَرُوا وَيُلَقَّوْنَ ف۪يهَا تَحِيَّةً وَسَلَاماًۙ ## Transcription Ola-ika yujzawna alghurfata bimasabaroo wayulaqqawna feeha tahiyyatan wasalama ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley such people will be repaid for their steadfastness with the Highest Paradise, where they will meet with welcome and with ‘Peace’. ### Progressive Muslims These will be rewarded with a dwelling for what they have been patient for, and they will find in it a greeting and peace. ### Shabbir Ahmed They, such are these who will be rewarded with a high station of honor for their steadfast commitment (to their Lord). Therein they will be met with salutation and peace. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Those will be rewarded with the upper chamber because they were patient, and they will be met therein with greetings and peace, ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation These will be rewarded with a dwelling for what they have been patient for, and they will find in it a greeting and peace. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament These are the ones who attain Paradise in return for their steadfastness; they are received therein with joyous greetings and peace. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira They will be rewarded for their perseverance with lofty mansions in empyrean where they will be received with greetings of peace and salutations, ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Those will be awarded the Chamber for what they patiently endured, and they will be received therein with greetings and [words of] peace. ### Muhammad Asad [Such as] these will be rewarded for all their patient endurance [in life] with a high station [in paradise], and will be met therein with a greeting of welcome and peace, ### Marmaduke Pickthall They will be awarded the high place forasmuch as they were steadfast, and they will meet therein with welcome and the ward of peace, ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary They are the ones who will be rewarded for their patience: lofty palaces[1] [2] will be granted to them, and they will be received with greeting and salutation. _Footnotes_ - [1] The word sabr (fortitude) has been used here in its most comprehensive sense. The true servants courageously endured their persecution by the enemies of the truth; they remained firm and steadfast in their struggle to establish Allah’s way in the land. They carried out their duties enjoined by Allah sincerely and tearlessly without any concern for the worldly losses and deprivation, and they withstood all temptations held out by Satan and all the lusts of the flesh. - [2] Ghurfah is a high mansion and the word is generally used for the upper chamber of a two storey house. But the reality is that the highest buildings made by man in this world, even the Taj Mahal of India and the skyscrapers of New York, are not true imitation of the excellent abodes in Paradise. They are so magnificent, grand and beautiful that human imagination cannot form any picture of their grandeur. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab These -with all the above-mentioned attributes combined- are they who are destined to receive the richest reward. They shall occupy the high and mighty region in Paradise -Garden of Eden- the epithet of dignity and great honour. This is in token of their patience, forbearance and endurance. Therein they shall be received with hearty welcome and greeted with the best expressions of good will and shall rest eternally assured of peace and security. ### Bijan Moeinian They are the ones who will be rewarded by being admitted to the highest place in the Paradise in account of their patience. They will be welcomed with due respect, honor, and peaceful greetings and will live therein forever. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Those will be rewarded with the highest place (in Paradise) because of their patience.
