And He it is that made the night and the day a succession for him who desires to take heed, or desires gratitude.
It is He who made night and day succeed each other for those who want to pay heed or to give thanks.

And He it is Who hath appointed night and day in succession, for him who desireth to remember, or desireth thankfulness.

And He is it who caused the night and the day to follow one upon another and occur in succession**, a phenomenon inciting him who wishes to ponder the marvels of Allah and keep Him in mind lifting to Him his inward sight, wishing to actuate himself with gratitude and gratefulness.
He is the One Who makes the nights and the days come one after the another so that man contemplate about it and show some gratitude.
And He it is Who has put the night and the day in succession, for such who desires to remember or desires to show his gratitude.

it is He who made the night and day follow each other- so anyone who wishes may be mindful or show gratitude.
And it is He who made the night and day a succession for whom He desires to remember or He desires to be thankful.
And He it is who made the night and the day alternating for him who desires to remember or who wishes to be thankful.
Blessed be He who placed in the heavens mansions (constellations) of stars, and has placed therein a great lamp and an illuminating moon!
And He is the One Who has made the night and day-time a succession for whomever is willing to constantly remember (Or: for whomever He wills to be mindful; or: whomever He wills) or whomever is willing to give constant thanks.
It is He who hath ordained the night and the day to succeed each other, for the observation of him who will consider, or desireth to shew his gratitude.
