Surah Al-Furqan (The Criterion) — سورة الفرقان - **Verse:** 55 / 77 · **Juz:** 19 · **Mushaf page:** 363 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-furqan/verse-55 ## Arabic وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْۜ وَكَانَ الْكَافِرُ عَلٰى رَبِّه۪ ظَه۪يراً ## Transcription WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yanfaAAuhum wala yadurruhum wakanaalkafiru AAala rabbihi thaheera ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Yet they worship instead of Allah what can neither help nor harm them. The kuffar are always biased against their Lord. ### Progressive Muslims And they serve besides God what does not benefit them nor harm them. And the rejecter is always set-against his Lord. ### Shabbir Ahmed Yet they serve instead of Allah that which can neither benefit them nor harm them. Indeed, the rejecter of the Truth, (regardless of his origin and relationship), joins hands with another rejecter against his own Sustainer. (Zaheer = Helper. He is a helper and defender of all those who are rebels against Allah and an enemy of all those who may he striving to raise Allah’s Word and enforce His Law in the world.
