Hast thou seen him who has taken as his god his vain desire? Wouldst thou then be a guardian over him?
Have you seen him who has taken his whims and desires to be his god? Will you then be his guardian?
Have you seen the one who has taken his ego as his god Will you be a caretaker over him
Have you seen him who has taken as god his own desire? Can you be an advocate responsible for him?
Hast thou seen him who has taken as his god his vain desire? Wouldst thou then be a guardian over him?
Have you seen the one who has taken his desire as his god? Will you be a caretaker over him?
Have you seen the one who has taken his ego as his god? Will you be a caretaker over him?
Have you seen the one whose god is his own ego? Will you be his advocate?
Have you considered him who takes his own lust for his god? Can you stand a surety for him?
Have you seen the one who takes as his god his own desire? Then would you be responsible for him?
Hast thou ever considered who makes his own desires his deity? Couldst thou, then, be held responsible for him?
Hast thou seen him who chooseth for his god his own lust? Wouldst thou then be guardian over him?
Have you ever considered the case of him who has taken his carnal desire for his god?* Can you take responsibility for guiding him to the Right Way?
Do you see O Muhammad the one whose ruling passion conquers reason and he refers his Ilah to the region of emotions! Do you think you will be responsible for his behaviour or for his inclination! You are only a spectacle and a warning.
Have you noticed the one who (is the prisoner of his own lust and" has taken his ego as his god? Do you think that you can guide such a person?
Have you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) seen him who has taken as his ilâh (god) his own vain desire? Would you then be a Wakîl (a disposer of his affairs or a watcher) over him?
Seest thou such a one as taketh for his god his own passion (or impulse)? Couldst thou be a disposer of affairs for him?
Have you seen ˹O Prophet˺ the one who has taken their own desires as their god? Will you then be a keeper over them?
Tell me about the one who has taken his desire as his god, would you then, become a guardian for him?
Think of the man who has taken his own passion as a god: are you to be his guardian?
Hast thou seen him who has taken his caprice to be his god? Wilt thou be a guardian over them?
Dost thou consider him who takes his lusts for his god? wilt thou then be in charge over him?
"He well-nigh leads us astray from our gods, had we not been constant to them. " But they shall know, when they see the torment, who errs most from the path.
Have you seen him who has taken to himself his prejudice to be his god? Will you then be a constant trustee over him?
What thinkest thou? He who taketh his lust for his god; canst thou be his guardian?
Do you see the one who takes for his god his own desire (or impulse)? Could you be a guardian of affairs for him?
Have you considered (over the plight of) one who has taken his own low desires for his deity? Can you then be a guardian over such a one?
Have you seen him who has taken his desire to be his god? Is it your duty to watch over him?
