Surah Al-Bayyinah (The Evidence) — سورة البينة - **Verse:** 6 / 8 · **Juz:** 30 · **Mushaf page:** 598 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-bayyinah/verse-6 ## Arabic اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا مِنْ اَهْلِ الْـكِتَابِ وَالْمُشْرِك۪ينَ ف۪ي نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَاۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمْ شَرُّ الْبَرِيَّةِۜ ## Transcription Inna allatheena kafaroo min ahli alkitabiwalmushrikeena fee nari jahannama khalideenafeeha ola-ika hum sharru albariyya ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley The People of the Book who are kafir and the idolaters will be in the Fire of Hell, remaining in it timelessly, for ever. They are the worst of creatures. ### Progressive Muslims Those who rejected from the people of the Scripture and those who set up partners are in the fires of Hell abiding therein, those are the worst of creation. ### Shabbir Ahmed Verily, those who are bent on denying the Truth, be they among the People of the Scripture or the idol worshipers under any guise, will abide in Hell. They (who see the Truth and then deny it) are the worst of all created beings. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation Those who ignore warning among the doctors of the Law and the idolaters will be in the fire of Gehenna, they abiding eternally therein — it is they who are the worst of creatures. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation Those who rejected from the people of the Book and the polytheists are in the fires of Hell abiding therein, those are the worst of creation. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament Those who disbelieved among the people of the scripture, and the idol worshipers, have incurred the fire of Gehenna forever. They are the worst creatures. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira Surely the unbelievers among the people of the Book and the idolaters, will abide in the fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. Those are the worst of creatures. ### Muhammad Asad Verily, those who [despite all evidence] are bent on denying the truth - [be they] from among the followers of earlier revelation or from among those who ascribe divinity to aught beside God - will find themselves in the fire of hell, therein to abide: they are the worst of all creatures. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Lo! those who disbelieve, among the People of the Scripture and the idolaters, will abide in fire of hell. They are the worst of created beings. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Those who disbelieved[1] – be they from among the People of the Book or among those who associated others with Allah in His Divinity– shall be in the Fire, and will abide in it. They are the worst of creatures.[2] _Footnotes_ - [1] Disbelieved: Refused to acknowledge the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as Allah’s Messenger. The meaning is that the end of those from among the mushriks and the followers of the Book, who have not acknowledged the Messenger whose emergence by itself is a clear evidence, and who is reciting to them hallowed pages containing sound and correct teachings, will be as is being described below. - [2] That is, they are worse than all creatures of God, even animals, for the animals do not possess reason and power, but these people reject the truth in spite of having reason and authority. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab The unbelievers among Ahl AL-Kitab and the idolaters are indeed the eternal dwellers of Hell; they are the worst among Allah's intellectual beings- ### Bijan Moeinian Those of old religions (who have seen the clear proof and knowingly have refused it), as well as the idol worshipers, have bought the Hell Fire for themselves and are the worse people. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Verily, those who disbelieve (in the religion of Islâm, the Qur’ân and Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from among the people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians) and Al-Mushrikûn will abide in the Fire of Hell. They are the worst of creatures.[1] ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Those who reject (Truth), among the People of the Book and among the Polytheists, will be in Hell-Fire, to dwell therein (for aye). They are the worst of creatures. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Indeed, those who disbelieve from the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the Fire of Hell, to stay there forever. They are the worst of ˹all˺ beings. ### Taqi Usmani Surely those who disbelieved from among the People of the Book and the polytheists will be in the fire of Jahannam , in which they will be living forever. Those are the worst of all human beings. ### Abdul Haleem Those who disbelieve among the People of the Book and the idolaters will have the Fire of Hell, there to remain. They are the worst of creation. ### Arthur John Arberry The unbelievers of the People of the Book and the idolaters shall be in the Fire of Gehenna, therein dwelling forever; those are the worst of creatures. ### E. Aziz Verily, those who disbelieve amongst the people of the Book and the idolaters shall be in the fire of hell, to dwell therein for aye; they are wretched creatures! ### Mahmoud Ghali Surely (the ones) who have disbelieved among the population of the Book (Or: family of the Book; i. e., the Jews and Christians) and the associators (Those who associate others with Allah) will be in the Fire of Hell, eternally (abiding) therein; those are they who are the most evil beings (Literally: Initiated creatures). ### George Sale Verily those who believe not, among those who have received the scriptures, and among the idolaters, shall be cast into the fire of hell, to remain therein for ever.
