Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) — سورة البقرة - **Verse:** 67 / 286 · **Juz:** 1 · **Mushaf page:** 9 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-67 ## Arabic وَاِذْ قَالَ مُوسٰى لِقَوْمِه۪ٓ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ اَنْ تَذْبَحُوا بَقَرَةًۜ قَالُٓوا اَتَتَّخِذُنَا هُزُواًۜ قَالَ اَعُوذُ بِاللّٰهِ اَنْ اَكُونَ مِنَ الْجَاهِل۪ينَ ## Transcription Wa-ith qala moosaliqawmihi inna Allaha ya/murukum an tathbahoobaqaratan qaloo atattakhithuna huzuwan qalaaAAoothu biAllahi an akoona mina aljahileen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley And when Musa said to his people, ‘Allah commands you to sacrifice a cow,’ they said, ‘What! Are you making a mockery of us?’ He said, ‘I seek refuge with Allah from being one of the ignorant!’ ### Progressive Muslims And Moses said to his people: "God orders you to slaughter a heifer.
