Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) — سورة البقرة - **Verse:** 24 / 286 · **Juz:** 1 · **Mushaf page:** 3 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-24 ## Arabic فَاِنْ لَمْ تَفْعَلُوا وَلَنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاتَّقُوا النَّارَ الَّت۪ي وَقُودُهَا النَّاسُ وَالْحِجَارَةُۚ اُعِدَّتْ لِلْكَافِر۪ينَ ## Transcription Fa-in lam tafAAaloo walan tafAAaloo fattaqooannara allatee waqooduha annasuwalhijaratu oAAiddat lilkafireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley If you do not do that – and you will not do it – then fear the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, made ready for the kafirun. ### Progressive Muslims And if you cannot do this; and you will not be able to do this; then beware the Fire whose fuel is people and stones, it has been prepared for the rejecters. ### Shabbir Ahmed And if you fail to do it - and fail you will, (yet remain haughty and scornful, it should be easy to think of the outcome. You will live a life unlived since that is the natural consequence of persistent denial of the Reality). Then guard yourselves against the Fire that has been readied for those who remain bent on denying the Truth, and its fuel is the masses and their stonehearted leaders alike.
