Surah Al-Baqarah (The Cow) — سورة البقرة - **Verse:** 208 / 286 · **Juz:** 2 · **Mushaf page:** 31 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-208 ## Arabic يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا ادْخُلُوا فِي السِّلْمِ كَٓافَّةًۖ وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا خُطُوَاتِ الشَّيْطَانِۜ اِنَّهُ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُب۪ينٌ ## Transcription Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooodkhuloo fee assilmi kaffatan walatattabiAAoo khutuwati ashshaytaniinnahu lakum AAaduwwun mubeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley You who have iman! enter Islam totally. Do not follow in the footsteps of Shaytan. He is an outright enemy to you. ### Progressive Muslims O you who believe, join in peace, all of you, and do not follow the footsteps of the devil. He is to you a clear enemy. ### Shabbir Ahmed O You who have chosen to be graced with belief! Come, all of you, into submission to Him. Enter the System of Islam fully and collectively. Do not follow the footsteps of the Satan, your rebellious desire. Selfish desire that rebels against the Divine Values is your most ardent enemy. (Desire or emotion leads our actions while the intellect rationalizes them.
