Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights) — سورة الأعراف - **Verse:** 41 / 206 · **Juz:** 8 · **Mushaf page:** 154 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-41 ## Arabic لَهُمْ مِنْ جَهَنَّمَ مِهَادٌ وَمِنْ فَوْقِهِمْ غَوَاشٍۜ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الظَّالِم۪ينَ ## Transcription Lahum min jahannama mihadun waminfawqihim ghawashin wakathalika najzee aththalimeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley They will have Hell as a resting-place and covering layers on top of them. That is how We repay wrongdoers. ### Progressive Muslims They will have Hell as an abode, and from above them will be barriers. It is thus We recompense the wicked. ### Shabbir Ahmed Hell is their bed and their covering as well. This is how We recompense the guilty, those who steal the fruit of others' labor and thus violate human rights. (Nations that fail to build their own paradise on earth only lurk on hellish ground.
