Surah Al-A'raf (The Heights) — سورة الأعراف - **Verse:** 144 / 206 · **Juz:** 9 · **Mushaf page:** 167 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-144 ## Arabic قَالَ يَا مُوسٰٓى اِنِّي اصْطَفَيْتُكَ عَلَى النَّاسِ بِرِسَالَات۪ي وَبِكَلَام۪يۘ فَخُذْ مَٓا اٰتَيْتُكَ وَكُنْ مِنَ الشَّاكِر۪ينَ ## Transcription Qala ya moosa innee istafaytukaAAala annasi birisalateewabikalamee fakhuth ma ataytuka wakunmina ashshakireen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley He said, ‘Musa, I have chosen you over all mankind for My Message and My Word. Take what I have given you and be among the thankful.’ ### Progressive Muslims He said: "O Moses, I have chosen you over mankind with My messages and My words; so take what I have given you and be of the thankful. " ### Shabbir Ahmed God said, "O Moses! I have chosen you to be My Messenger and convey My Word to the people. I have given to you My Messages and spoken to you. I have preferred thee above mankind by My messages and by My speaking (unto thee). I have indeed preferred you to all others by virtue of the Message I have entrusted to you and by virtue of My speaking to you. Hold fast therefore, to whatever I have granted you, and give thanks.' ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab "I have chosen you O Mussa", said Allah, "by preference out of all people to convey My divide message and My discourse of practical divinity revealed directly to you". "Therefore, take all that I have imparted to you with heart and hand with heart and soul, and act strongly upon it and impel yourself to the feeling of gratitude and gratefulness". ### Bijan Moeinian I said: "Moses, I have chosen you among all the people to have [direct] conversation with Me and to deliver My Message.
