Surah Al-'Ankabut (The Spider) — سورة العنكبوت - **Verse:** 69 / 69 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 403 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-ankabut/verse-69 ## Arabic وَالَّذ۪ينَ جَاهَدُوا ف۪ينَا لَنَهْدِيَنَّهُمْ سُبُلَنَاۜ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَمَعَ الْمُحْسِن۪ينَ ## Transcription Wallatheena jahadoofeena lanahdiyannahum subulana wa-inna AllahalamaAAa almuhsineen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley As for those who do jihad in Our Way, We will guide them to Our Paths. Truly Allah is with the good-doers. ### Progressive Muslims As for those who strive in Our cause, We will guide them to Our paths. For God is with the pious. ### Shabbir Ahmed As for those who sincerely strive for Us, We surely guide them onto paths that lead to Us. (New channels keep opening for them leading them out of the spider's web onto the Straight Path). Surely God is with those who do good. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And those who strive for Us - We will surely guide them to Our ways. And indeed, Allah is with the doers of good. ### Muhammad Asad But as for those who strive hard in Our cause -We shall most certainly guide them onto paths that lead unto Us: for, behold, God is indeed with the doers of good. ### Marmaduke Pickthall As for those who strive in Us, We surely guide them to Our paths, and lo! Allah is with the good. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary As for those who strive in Our cause, We shall surely guide them to Our Ways.[1] Indeed Allah is with those who do good. _Footnotes_ - [1] The word mujahadah has already been explained in (E.N: 8) above. There it was said that a person who exerts will exert for his own good (Ayat 6). Here it is being reassured that Allah does not leave alone those who strive in His cause sincerely, even at the risk of a conflict with the entire world, but He helps and guides them and opens for them ways towards Himself. He teaches them at every step the way of winning His approval and goodwill and He shows them the light at every turning point to discriminate between the right way and the wrong ways of life. In short, Allah helps and succors and guides them according to their sincerity and intensity of desire for goodness. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab But those who strove in Our cause and served Our purpose shall be the recipients of Our mercy and blessings. We will guide them to Our paths and ways of righteousness and action and of thought and conduct. And, Allah upholds those who perfect their illustrious toils and turn their thoughts on moral excellence and benevolence. ### Bijan Moeinian As for those who devote themselves to the cause of the Lord, I will guide them to My path. God surely stands with the righteous ones. ### Al-Hilali & Khan As for those who strive hard in Us (Our Cause), We will surely guide them to Our Paths (i.e. Allâh’s religion - Islâmic Monotheism). And verily, Allâh is with the Muhsinûn (good doers)."[1] ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And those who strive in Our (cause),- We will certainly guide them to our Paths: For verily Allah is with those who do right. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran As for those who struggle in Our cause, We will surely guide them along Our Way.
