Surah Al-Anfal (The Spoils of War) — سورة الأنفال - **Verse:** 53 / 75 · **Juz:** 10 · **Mushaf page:** 183 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anfal/verse-53 ## Arabic ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَمْ يَكُ مُغَيِّراً نِعْمَةً اَنْعَمَهَا عَلٰى قَوْمٍ حَتّٰى يُغَيِّرُوا مَا بِاَنْفُسِهِمْۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ سَم۪يعٌ عَل۪يمٌۙ ## Transcription Thalika bi-anna Allaha lamyaku mughayyiran niAAmatan anAAamaha AAala qawmin hattayughayyiroo ma bi-anfusihim waanna Allaha sameeAAunAAaleem ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley That is because Allah would never change a blessing He has conferred on a people until they had changed what was in themselves. Allah is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. ### Progressive Muslims That is because God was not to change anything He bestowed to a people, unless they change what is in themselves. God is Hearer, Knowledgeable. ### Shabbir Ahmed Allah never changes a Blessing He has bestowed upon a nation until they first change themselves (13:11).
