And be not as those who say: “We have heard,” and they hear not.
Do not be like those who say, ‘We hear,’ when they do not hear.
And do not be like those who have said: "We hear, " but they do not hear.
Be not like those who say that they hear, while they hear not.
And be not as those who say: “We have heard,” and they hear not.
And do not be like those who have said: "We hear," but they do not hear.

and be not like those who say, "We have heard", the while they do not hearken.
Be not as those who say, we hear, and they hear not.
And do not be like those who say: 'We hear', though they do not hearken.
Nor permit yourselves to be like those -the hypocrites- who pretended to have listened faithfully to the truth and pretended to abide by it when in fact they counselled deaf and closed their hearts' ears to discourses on practical divinity; there is speed in their dumbness.
Do not behave like those who say : "We hear you" but in reality they have not listened (letting the words come from one ear and left through the other. )
And be not like those who say: "We have heard," but they hear not.
Nor be like those who say, "We hear," but listen not:
Do not be like those who say, "We hear," but in fact they are not listening.
And do not be like those who say, "We have listened" while they do not listen.
do not be like those who say, ‘We heard,’ though in fact they were not listening-
and be not as those who say, 'We hear,' and they hear not.
