Surah Al-Anbiya (The Prophets) — سورة الأنبياء - **Verse:** 47 / 112 · **Juz:** 17 · **Mushaf page:** 325 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anbiya/verse-47 ## Arabic وَنَضَعُ الْمَوَاز۪ينَ الْقِسْطَ لِيَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ فَلَا تُظْلَمُ نَفْسٌ شَيْـٔاًۜ وَاِنْ كَانَ مِثْقَالَ حَبَّةٍ مِنْ خَرْدَلٍ اَتَيْنَا بِهَاۜ وَكَفٰى بِنَا حَاسِب۪ينَ ## Transcription WanadaAAu almawazeena alqistaliyawmi alqiyamati fala tuthlamunafsun shay-an wa-in kana mithqala habbatinmin khardalin atayna biha wakafa binahasibeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We will set up the Just Balance on the Day of Rising and no self will be wronged in any way. Even if it is no more than the weight of a grain of mustard-seed, We will produce it. We are sufficient as a Reckoner. ### Progressive Muslims And We will place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so that no soul will be wronged in the least. Even if it was the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And We are sufficient as a Reckoner. ### Shabbir Ahmed We will set up the Scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, and no person will be wronged in the least. Though the good or evil be of the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. We are Sufficient for reckoning and none can take account as We do. (99:7-8). ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation And We will set up the balances of equity for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be wronged in anything; and though it be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. Even the equivalent of a mustard seed will be accounted for. We are the most efficient reckoners. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira We shall fix the scales of justice on the Day of Resurrection, so that none will be wronged in the least; and even if it were equal to a mustard seed in weight We shall take it (into account). We are sufficient for computation. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And We place the scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection, so no soul will be treated unjustly at all. And if there is [even] the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as accountant. ### Muhammad Asad But We shall set up just balance-scales on Resurrection Day, and no human being shall be wrong­ed in the least: for though there be [in him but] the weight of a mustard-seed [of good or evil], We shall bring it forth; and none can take count as We do! ### Marmaduke Pickthall And We set a just balance for the Day of Resurrection so that no soul is wronged in aught. Though it be of the weight of a grain of mustard seed, We bring it. And We suffice for reckoners. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary We shall set up just scales on the Day of Resurrection so that none will be wronged in the least. (We shall bring forth the acts of everyone), even if it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed. Anyhow, it is clear that the balance will weigh accurately all the human moral deeds instead of material things, and will help judge whether a man is virtuous or wicked and how much. The Quran has used this word to make mankind understand that every deed, good or bad, will be weighed and judged according to merit. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab And We set the scales even in Day of Judgement admitting of no deviation and We judge with absolute justice and accordingly no soul shall ever be wronged in the least. Every deed, good or bad, will We present with precision even if it be as light or as little as a mustard seed. Enough are We in putting the law in execution. ### Bijan Moeinian On the Day of Resurrection, the scales will be reset to zero so that even the equivalent of a mustard weight of good or bad be paid for accordingly; no soul will suffer the least injustice. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And We shall set up balances of justice on the Day of Resurrection, then none will be dealt with unjustly in anything. And if there be the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it. And Sufficient are We to take account. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be dealt with unjustly in the least, and if there be (no more than) the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it (to account): and enough are We to take account. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran We set up the scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so no soul will be wronged in the least. And ˹even˺ if a deed is the weight of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth. And sufficient are We as a ˹vigilant˺ Reckoner. ### Taqi Usmani We shall place scales to do justice on the Day of Judgment. So no one shall be wronged in the least. Even if it (a deed) is to the measure of a mustard seed, We will bring it forth, and We are enough to take account. ### Abdul Haleem We will set up scales of justice for the Day of Resurrection so that no one can be wronged in the least, and if there should be even the weight of a mustard seed, We shall bring it out- We take excellent account. ### Arthur John Arberry And We shall set up the just balances for the Resurrection Day, so that not one soul shall be wronged anything; even if it be the weight of one grain of mustard-seed We shall produce it, and sufficient are We for reckoners. ### E. Henry Palmer We will place just balances upon the resurrection day, and no soul shall be wronged at all, even though it be the weight of a grain of mustard seed, we will bring it; for we are good enough at reckoning up. ### Hamid S. Aziz But if a breath of the Wrath of your Lord touches them, they will surely say, "O, woe is us! Verily, we were wrong-doers!" ### Mahmoud Ghali And We will lay down the equitable scales for the Day of the Resurrection, so that not one self will be done an injustice in anything, and even in case it be the weight of one grain of mustard-seed, We will come up with it. And Sufficient are We for reckoners. ### George Sale We will appoint just balances for the day of resurrection; neither shall any soul be injured at all: Although the merit or guilt of an action be of the weight of a grain of mustard-seed only, We will produce it publicly; and there will be sufficient accountants with Us. ### Syed Vickar Ahamed And We shall set up scales of justice for the Day of Judgment, so that not a soul will be treated unjustly in the least.
