Surah Al-Anbiya (The Prophets) — سورة الأنبياء - **Verse:** 32 / 112 · **Juz:** 17 · **Mushaf page:** 323 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anbiya/verse-32 ## Arabic وَجَعَلْنَا السَّمَٓاءَ سَقْفاً مَحْفُوظاًۚ وَهُمْ عَنْ اٰيَاتِهَا مُعْرِضُونَ ## Transcription WajaAAalna assamaasaqfan mahfoothan wahum AAan ayatihamuAAridoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley We made the sky a preserved and protected roof yet still they turn away from Our Signs. ### Progressive Muslims And We made the sky a protective ceiling. And yet they are turning away from Our signs! ### Shabbir Ahmed And We have rendered the sky a canopy well guarded. (The atmosphere in the Height keeps in safe balance the gases and temperature, and protects you from the incoming meteorites). And yet, they stubbornly turn away from [all] the signs of this [creation], ### Marmaduke Pickthall And we have made the sky a roof withheld (from them). Yet they are oblivious of their marvels –stability, regularity, precision, immensity, and what it confers of protection- and fail to ascribe them to their maker Who is Allah, ### Bijan Moeinian Do they not see that I have established a ceiling on top of the earth (referred to as ozone layer these days;) to keep the earth safe and well guarded (from life killing rays of sun?) Yet they turn their back to such signs (which testifies for the existence and the greatness of the Creator. ) ### Al-Hilali & Khan And We have made the heaven a roof, safe and well guarded. Yet they turn away from its signs (i.e. sun, moon, winds, clouds, etc.). ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali And We have made the heavens as a canopy well guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)! ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran And We have made the sky a well-protected canopy, still they turn away from its signs.[1] ### Taqi Usmani We made the sky a protected roof; and they are averse to its signs. ### Abdul Haleem and We made the sky a well-secured canopy- yet from its wonders they turn away. ### Arthur John Arberry and We set up the heaven as a roof well-protected; yet still from Our signs they are turning away. ### E.
