Surah Al-Anbiya (The Prophets) — سورة الأنبياء - **Verse:** 103 / 112 · **Juz:** 17 · **Mushaf page:** 330 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anbiya/verse-103 ## Arabic لَا يَحْزُنُهُمُ الْفَزَعُ الْاَكْبَرُ وَتَتَلَقّٰيهُمُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُۜ هٰذَا يَوْمُكُمُ الَّذ۪ي كُنْتُمْ تُوعَدُونَ ## Transcription La yahzunuhumu alfazaAAual-akbaru watatalaqqahumu almala-ikatu hathayawmukumu allathee kuntum tooAAadoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley The greatest terror will not upset them and the angels will welcome them: ‘This is your Day, the one that you were promised. ’ ### Progressive Muslims The great horror will not sadden them, and the Angels will receive them: "This is your Day which you have been promised. " ### Shabbir Ahmed The supreme horror will cause them no grief, since the angels (of peace, fulfillment, and delight) will welcome them, "This is your Day of triumph that you were promised. "This is your Day [of triumph - the Day] which you were promised!" ### Marmaduke Pickthall The Supreme Horror will not grieve them, and the angels will welcome them, (saying): This is your Day which ye were promised; ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary The Hour of the Great Terror shall not grieve them,[1] and the angels shall receive them saying: "This is your Day which you had been promised." _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, the time of mustering and going before Allah will be very dreadful for the common people but the righteous people will have full peace of mind because everything will be happening according to their expectations. Their faith and the righteous deeds they did in the world, will help console them by the grace of Allah and, instead of grief and sorrow, they will be filled with the hope that they are going to get their promised rewards. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Nor shall they be disturbed, grieved nor shocked by the overwhelming terror -of The Day of Judgement- and they shall be received with a hearty welcome by the angels who put their minds at rest and say to them: "this is the happy day you were promised" ### Bijan Moeinian They will not be affected by the terror of the Event.
