Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle) — سورة الأنعام - **Verse:** 90 / 165 · **Juz:** 7 · **Mushaf page:** 137 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-90 ## Arabic اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ هَدَى اللّٰهُ فَبِهُدٰيهُمُ اقْتَدِهْۜ قُلْ لَٓا اَسْـَٔلُكُمْ عَلَيْهِ اَجْراًۜ اِنْ هُوَ اِلَّا ذِكْرٰى لِلْعَالَم۪ينَ۟ ## Transcription Ola-ika allatheena hadaAllahu fabihudahumu iqtadih qul la as-alukumAAalayhi ajran in huwa illa thikra lilAAalameen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley They are the ones Allah has guided, so be guided by their guidance. Say, ‘I do not ask you for any wage for it. It is simply a reminder to all beings.’ ### Progressive Muslims These are the ones guided by God; so let their guidance be an example. Say: "I do not ask you for a wage; this is but a reminder for the worlds." ### Shabbir Ahmed Those were the ones guided by Allah, so follow their guidance. Say, (O Messenger), "I ask of you no wage for this. Follow, then, their guidance, [and] say: "No reward do I ask of you for this [truth]: behold, it is but an admonition unto all mankind!" ### Marmaduke Pickthall Those are they whom Allah guideth, so follow their guidance. Say (O Muhammad, unto mankind): I ask of you no fee for it. Lo! it is naught but a Reminder to (His) creatures. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary (O Muhammad!) Those are the ones Allah guided to the right way. Follow, then, their way, and say: 'I ask of you no reward (for carrying on this mission); it is merely an admonition to all mankind.' ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab These are they whose hearts have been touched with the divine hand; they proved to be worthy of Allah's grace and prerogatives. Therefore, take them O Muhammad as a guide, follow their example and espouse their opinions. And say to your people: " I do not charge you a price for imparting to you Allah's revelations or disclosures, wisdom or practical divinity; the Quran - is simply the fountain - head of all truth that puts mankind in mind of reality". ### Bijan Moeinian The above mentioned were guided the same way that you (Mohammad/ Muslims) will be guided. O Mohammad, Say: "I am not going to charge you anything for this [service of] guidance of yours. This is a universal gift of the Lord (to whoever who wants to accept it.)" ### Al-Hilali & Khan They are those whom Allâh had guided. So follow their guidance. Say: "No reward I ask of you for this (the Qur’ân).
