Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle) — سورة الأنعام - **Verse:** 40 / 165 · **Juz:** 7 · **Mushaf page:** 131 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-40 ## Arabic قُلْ اَرَاَيْتَكُمْ اِنْ اَتٰيكُمْ عَذَابُ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَتَتْكُمُ السَّاعَةُ اَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ تَدْعُونَۚ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ صَادِق۪ينَ ## Transcription Qul araaytakum in atakum AAathabuAllahi aw atatkumu assaAAatu aghayra AllahitadAAoona in kuntum sadiqeen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Say: ‘What do you think? If Allah's punishment were to come upon you or the Hour, would you call on other than Allah if you are being truthful?’ ### Progressive Muslims Say: "We will see when God's retribution comes to you, or the Hour comes to you, if you will still call on any other than God. If you are being truthful." ### Shabbir Ahmed Ask them, "If a natural disaster strikes you as Divine retribution, or when the Hour comes, would you call upon others besides God?
