Surah Al-An'am (The Cattle) — سورة الأنعام - **Verse:** 28 / 165 · **Juz:** 7 · **Mushaf page:** 130 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-28 ## Arabic بَلْ بَدَا لَهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يُخْفُونَ مِنْ قَبْلُۜ وَلَوْ رُدُّوا لَعَادُوا لِمَا نُهُوا عَنْهُ وَاِنَّهُمْ لَكَاذِبُونَ ## Transcription Bal bada lahum ma kanooyukhfoona min qablu walaw ruddoo laAAadoo limanuhoo AAanhu wa-innahum lakathiboon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley No, it is simply that what they were concealing before has been shown to them; and if they were sent back they would merely return to what they were forbidden to do. Truly they are liars. ### Progressive Muslims No, it is merely what they have been concealing that has now become evident to them; and if they were sent back they would return to what they were deterred from doing, they are but liars! ### Shabbir Ahmed Nay, they will be making excuses since the Truth they used to conceal from themselves, has become obvious to them. If they were sent back (with no retention of what they have seen), they would commit exactly the same crimes. And if they were sent back they would return unto that which they are forbidden. Lo! they are liars. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary No! They will say this merely because the Truth which they had concealed will become obvious to them;[1] or else if they were sent back, they would still revert to what was forbidden to them. ([Hicr 15/2-3](https://quran.so/15/2)) Bunlar cehennemi görünce kendilerine fayda sağlayacak tek şeyin iman olduğunu anlayacak ve gerçek mümin olmak için dünyaya döndürülmek isteyeceklerdir.
