And messengers were mocked before thee; then there surrounded those who derided them that whereat they mocked.
Messengers before you were also mocked, but those who jeered were engulfed by what they mocked.
Messengers before you were ridiculed; but those who mocked them suffered the consequences of what they ridiculed.
Messengers before you have been mocked. The very thing they used to mock overwhelmed them in the end.
And messengers were mocked before thee; then there surrounded those who derided them that whereat they mocked.
Messengers before you were mocked, but those who ridiculed suffered the consequences of that which they mocked.
Messengers before you were ridiculed; but those who mocked them suffered the consequences of what they ridiculed.
Messengers before you have been ridiculed. It is those who mocked them who suffered the consequences of their ridiculing.
Surely the apostles have been mocked before you; but what they had mocked rebounded on the mockers themselves.
And already were messengers ridiculed before you, but those who mocked them were enveloped by that which they used to ridicule.
And, indeed, before thy time have apostles been derided - but those who scoffed at them were overwhelmed by the very thing which they were wont to deride.
Messengers (of Allah) have been derided before thee, but that whereat they scoffed surrounded such of them as did deride.
And indeed before your time (O Muhammad!) many a Messenger has been scoffed at; but those who mocked at them were encompassed by the Truth they had scoffed at.
None the less, Messengers who were sent before you O Muhammad were also bombarded with foul epithets. The infidels mocked them and gave them a lick with the rough side of their tongues and called them everything they could lay their tongues to. In consequence were the mockers beset on all sides by the same material and immaterial things they turned into ridicule.
The Prophet before you were also subject to the mockeries. It is ironical that the same thing that they used to muck at lead to their destruction.
And indeed (many) Messengers before you were mocked at, but their scoffers were surrounded by the very thing that they used to mock at.
Mocked were (many) messengers before thee; but their scoffers were hemmed in by the thing that they mocked.
˹Other˺ messengers had already been ridiculed before you ˹O Prophet˺, but those who mocked them were overtaken by what they used to ridicule.
Even before you (O Prophet,) many messengers were ridiculed. Those who laughed at them were, then, besieged by what they used to ridicule.
Messengers have been mocked before you , and those who mocked them were engulfed by the very punishment they had mocked.
Messengers indeed were mocked at before thee; but those that scoffed at them were encompassed by that they mocked at.
There have been prophets before thee mocked at, but that encompassed them which the scoffers among them mocked at.
There have been Messengers before you who were mocked at, but that at which they mocked surrounded (mocked, turned the tables on) the mockers.
And indeed Messengers were already mocked at even before you; then what they were scoffing at redounded upon the ones who mocked at them.
And surely the Messengers have been mocked at before thee, but that which they mocked at encompassed those of them who scoffed at it.
Messengers before you were mocked; But the mockers were surrounded and circled by the (same) thing that they mocked.
(O Muhammad!) certainly Messengers have been treated scornfully before you but that (prophecy of the ultimate success of the Messenger) which they held in scorn recoiled on those who had held (the prophecy) in scorn.
Apostles were certainly derided before you. Then those who ridiculed them were besieged by what they used to deride.
