Surah Al-Ahzab (The Clans) — سورة الأحزاب - **Verse:** 18 / 73 · **Juz:** 21 · **Mushaf page:** 419 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-ahzab/verse-18 ## Arabic قَدْ يَعْلَمُ اللّٰهُ الْمُعَوِّق۪ينَ مِنْكُمْ وَالْقَٓائِل۪ينَ لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ هَلُمَّ اِلَيْنَاۚ وَلَا يَأْتُونَ الْبَأْسَ اِلَّا قَل۪يلاًۙ ## Transcription Qad yaAAlamu Allahu almuAAawwiqeenaminkum walqa-ileena li-ikhwanihim halummailayna wala ya/toona alba/sa illa qaleela ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Allah knows the obstructers among you and those who say to their brothers, ‘Come to us,’ and who only come to fight a very little, ### Progressive Muslims God already knows which of you are the hinderers, and those who say to their brothers: "Come and stay with us. " Rarely do they mobilize for battle. ### Shabbir Ahmed Allah already knows those of you who hinder, and those who say to their groups, "Come you here unto us!" And rarely do they mobilize for defense. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation God knows those among you who cause hindrance, and those who say to their brethren: “Come to us,” and they come not to the battle save a little, ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation God already knows which of you are the hinderers, and those who say to their brothers: "Come and stay with us." Live a life of ease and comfort as we do. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab Indeed Allah knows the dissuaders among you and He knows those who exhort their associates and fellows-in-arms against fighting and say to them: "Come to us" "and desert these fighting men". And they themselves hardly join the Muslim forces in combat. ### Bijan Moeinian Indeed God knows those of them who do not want to join the war effort and those of them who say to their friends: "Stay with us. " These are those who would like to participate the least in the battle campaign. ### Al-Hilali & Khan Allâh already knows those among you who keep back (men) from fighting in Allâh’s Cause, and those who say to their brethren "Come here towards us," while they (themselves) come not to the battle except a little, ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali Verily Allah knows those among you who keep back (men) and those who say to their brethren, "Come along to us", but come not to the fight except for just a little while. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran Allah knows well those among you who discourage ˹others from fighting˺, saying ˹secretly˺ to their brothers, "Stay with us," and who themselves hardly take part in fighting. ### Taqi Usmani Allah does know the ones from among you who prevent (others from joining the battle) and those who say to their brothers, "Come along with us," and who do not come to the battle but for a little while, ### Abdul Haleem God knows exactly who among you hinder others, who [secretly] say to their brothers, ‘Come and join us,’ who hardly ever come out to fight, ### Arthur John Arberry God would surely know those of you who hinder, and those who say to their brothers, 'Come to us,' and come to battle but little, ### E. Size katkıda cimri davranarak savaşa pek az gelirler. Korku geldiğinde ise, üzerine ölüm baygınlığı çökmüş kimse gibi gözleri dönerek sana baktıklarını görürsün. Korku gidince de ganimete karşı aşırı düşkünlük göstererek sizi keskin dillerle incitirler. İşte onlar iman etmediler. Allah da onların amellerini boşa çıkardı. Bu, Allah'a kolaydır. ### Elmalılı Hamdi Yazır — Kur'an-ı Kerim ve Yüce Meali Allah şübhesiz biliyor, içinizden o savsaklıyanları ve ihvanlarına "bize gelin" diyenleri ki harbe pek az geliyorlardı ### Elmalılı (sadeleştirilmiş) Şüphesiz Allah içinizden o savsaklayanları ve kardeşlerine: "Bize gelin!" diyenleri biliyor. (Onlar) harbe pek az geliyorlardı. ### Gültekin Onan Gerçekten Tanrı, içinizden alıkoyanları ve kardeşlerine: "Bize gelin" diyenleri bilir. Bunlar, pek azı dışında zorlu savaşlara gelmezler. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim Allah, içinizden (insanları Resulüllahdan) geri bırakanları, kardeşlerine (yaranına): "Bize gelin" diyenleri muhakkak biliyor. Bunların pek azından başkası harbe gelmezler. ### İbni Kesir Doğrusu Allah; içinizden sizi alıkoyanları ve kardeşlerine; bize gelin, diyenleri bilir.
