Surah Al-Ahqaf (The Dunes) — سورة الأحقاف - **Verse:** 34 / 35 · **Juz:** 26 · **Mushaf page:** 505 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-ahqaf/verse-34 ## Arabic وَيَوْمَ يُعْرَضُ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا عَلَى النَّارِۜ اَلَيْسَ هٰذَا بِالْحَقِّۜ قَالُوا بَلٰى وَرَبِّنَاۜ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا الْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ ## Transcription Wayawma yuAAradu allatheenakafaroo AAala annari alaysa hatha bilhaqqiqaloo bala warabbina qala fathooqooalAAathaba bima kuntum takfuroon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley On the Day when those who were kafir are exposed to the Fire, they will be asked, ‘Is this not the truth?’ They will say, ‘Yes, by our Lord. ’ He will say, ‘Then taste the punishment for having been kafir.’ ### Progressive Muslims And the Day the disbelievers are displayed to the Fire: "Is this not the truth" They will answer: "Yes indeed, by our Lord. " He will say, "Then taste the retribution for what you had rejected." ### Shabbir Ahmed And on the Day when the rejecters will be exposed to the Fire (they will be asked), "Is it not for real?" They will answer, "Yes indeed, by our Lord!" He will say, "Taste, then, this punishment as a consequence of your denial of the Truth. They will answer: "In truth, by our Lord!" It will be said: "Then taste the torment of what you had denied. They will say, "Yes, by our Lord. By Allah, our Creator ", they will say "indeed it is" Therefore, they are told, "now taste with all your senses the merciless but just retribution for denying Allah and for your insolent disregard of His warning. They shall answer, yea, by our Lord. Onlar: "Evet, Rabbimiz hakkı için!" diyecekler. Allah ise: "Öyleyse küfredegeldiğiniz için haydi tadın azabı!" buyuracaktır. ### Gültekin Onan Küfredenler ateşe sunulacakları gün, (onlara şöyle denir:) "Bu gerçek değil miymiş?" Onlar: "Rabbimize andolsun, evet (öyledir)" derler. (Tanrı da:) "Öyleyse küfrettiklerinizden dolayı / küfrettiğiniz için (tekfürun) azabı tadın" dedi. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim O kafirler ateşin karşısına (getirilerek) gösterileceği gün (kendilerine denilecek ki:) "Bu (azab) gerçek değil mi imiş"? Onlar "Evet, Rabbimize yemin ederiz (ki gerçekdir)" dediler (diyecekler). (Allah da) "Küfredegeldiğinize mukaabil tadın azabı" dedi (diyecek). ### İbni Kesir O küfredenler ateşe sunuldukları gün. O da: Şu halde küfrettiğinizden dolayı tadın azabı, der. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Böylece, hakikati inkara şartlanmış olanlar, ateşin karşısına getirilecekleri ve "Bu, gerçek değil mi?" diye sorulacağı Gün "Rabbimize andolsun ki öyle!" diye cevaplayacaklar.
