Surah Al-Ahqaf (The Dunes) — سورة الأحقاف - **Verse:** 16 / 35 · **Juz:** 26 · **Mushaf page:** 503 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-al-ahqaf/verse-16 ## Arabic اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ نَتَقَبَّلُ عَنْهُمْ اَحْسَنَ مَا عَمِلُوا وَنَتَجَاوَزُ عَنْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ ف۪ٓي اَصْحَابِ الْجَنَّةِۜ وَعْدَ الصِّدْقِ الَّذ۪ي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ ## Transcription Ola-ika allatheena nataqabbaluAAanhum ahsana ma AAamiloo wanatajawazu AAansayyi-atihim fee as-habi aljannati waAAda assidqiallathee kanoo yooAAadoon ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley Those are people whose best deeds will be accepted and whose wrong deeds will be overlooked. They are among the Companions of the Garden, in fulfilment of the true promise made to them. ### Progressive Muslims It is from these that We accept the best of their deeds, and We shall overlook their sins, among the dwellers of Paradise. This is the promise of truth that they had been promised. ### Shabbir Ahmed Such are those from whom We accept the best of their deeds and We shall absolve their imperfections. They are among the dwellers of Paradise. This is the True Promise that is made to them. They will be among the inmates of Paradise: A true promise they have been made. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) Those are the ones from whom We will accept the best of what they did and overlook their misdeeds, [their being] among the companions of Paradise. [That is] the promise of truth which they had been promised. ### Muhammad Asad It is [such as] these from whom We shall accept the best that they ever did, and whose bad deeds We shall overlook: [they will find themselves] among those who are destined for paradise, in fulfillment of the true promise which they were given [in this world]. ### Marmaduke Pickthall Those are they from whom We accept the best of what they do, and overlook their evil deeds. (They are) among the owners of the Garden. This is the true promise which they were promised (in the world). ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Such are those from whom We accept their best deeds and whose evil deeds We overlook.[1] They will be among the people of Paradise in consonance with the true promise made to them. _Footnotes_ - [1] That is, their ranks in the Hereafter will be determined by the best deeds they would have done in the world, and their lapses and weaknesses and errors will be overlooked. It is just like a generous and appreciative master who determines the worth of his loyal and obedient servant not by the petty services that he renders but by some work of merit that he might accomplish or a feat of devotion and dedication that he might perform. He will not call his servant to account for his minor shortcomings and overlook his major services. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab These are they whose best deeds will Allah count to them for righteousness, and ignore their wrong doings and quit them all His debt, and destine them to make abode in the beatitude of heaven: a Divine assurance of future blessing they have been promised. ### Bijan Moeinian I will accept such person’s good deed and cover his wrongdoings. Such person will inhabit in Paradise as I have truly promised. ### Al-Hilali & Khan They are those from whom We shall accept the best of their deeds and overlook their evil deeds. (İşte bu,) Onlara vaadolunan doğru bir vaaddir. ### Hasan Basri Çantay — Kur'an-ı Hakim ve Meal-i Kerim İşte bunlar —ki cennet yaranı içindedirler— işlediklerinin en güzel (ler) ini kabul edeceğimiz, günahlarından geçeceğimiz kimselerdir. (Bu), onların va'd olunageldikleri dosdoğru bir söz vermedir. ### İbni Kesir İşte bunlar, cennetliklerdendirler. Yaptıklarının en iyisini kabul edeceğimiz ve kötülüklerinden vazgeçeceğimiz kimselerdir. Bu; onlara vaadolunan dosdoğru bir vaaddir. ### Muhammed Esed — Kur'an Mesajı Onlar (öyle) kişilerdir ki, Biz yaptıklarının iyilerini kabul ederiz ve kötü fiillerini de görmezden geliriz; (onlar,) kendilerine (bu dünyada) verilen doğru sözün tutulmasıyla cennet sakinleri arasına katılacaklardır. ### Şaban Piriş — Kur'an-ı Kerim Türkçe Anlamı İşte onlar, yaptıklarını en iyi şekilde kabul ettiğimiz, günahlarını geçtiğimiz, cennet halkı içinde olanlardır.
