# 100. Surah Al-'Adiyat

_In the name of God, the Almighty, the Merciful._

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّح۪يمِ

## Verse 1

وَالْعَـادِيَاتِ ضَبْـحاًۙ

WalAAadiyati dabha

By the chargers snorting!

## Verse 2

فَالْمُـورِيَاتِ قَـدْحاًۙ

Falmooriyati qadha

And by the strikers of sparks of fire!

## Verse 3

فَالْمُغ۪يرَاتِ صُبْحاًۙ

Falmugheerati subha

And by the raiders at dawn

## Verse 4

فَاَثَرْنَ بِه۪ نَقْعاًۙ

Faatharna bihi naqAAa

Raising thereby dust

## Verse 5

فَوَسَطْنَ بِه۪ جَمْعاًۙ

Fawasatna bihi jamAAa

Then breaching thereby the midst together!

## Verse 6

اِنَّ الْاِنْسَانَ لِرَبِّه۪ لَكَنُودٌۚ

Inna al-insana lirabbihi lakanood

Man is ungrateful to his Lord,

## Verse 7

وَاِنَّهُ عَلٰى ذٰلِكَ لَشَه۪يدٌۚ

Wa-innahu AAala thalikalashaheed

And he is to that a witness.

## Verse 8

وَاِنَّهُ لِحُبِّ الْخَيْرِ لَشَد۪يدٌۜ

Wa-innahu lihubbi alkhayri lashadeed

But in love of wealth is he strong.

## Verse 9

اَفَلَا يَعْلَمُ اِذَا بُعْثِرَ مَا فِي الْقُبُورِۙ

Afala yaAAlamu itha buAAthira mafee alquboor

Does he then not know when what is in the graves is overturned

## Verse 10

وَحُصِّلَ مَا فِي الصُّدُورِۙ

Wahussila ma fee assudoor

And what is in the breasts obtained

## Verse 11

اِنَّ رَبَّهُمْ بِهِمْ يَوْمَئِذٍ لَخَب۪يرٌ

Inna rabbahum bihim yawma-ithinlakhabeer

Their Lord of them, that day, will be aware!
