Surah Adh-Dhariyat (The Winnowing Winds) — سورة الذاريات - **Verse:** 55 / 60 · **Juz:** 27 · **Mushaf page:** 522 - **Source:** https://quran.so/surah-adh-dhariyat/verse-55 ## Arabic وَذَكِّرْ فَاِنَّ الذِّكْرٰى تَنْفَعُ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ ## Transcription Wathakkir fa-inna aththikratanfaAAu almu/mineen ## Translations ### Aisha Bewley And remind them, for truly the muminun benefit from being reminded. ### Progressive Muslims And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. ### Shabbir Ahmed Yet continue reminding, for, verily, the believers will benefit from it and gain eminence. ### Sam Gerrans — The Qur'an: A Complete Revelation But remind thou, for the reminder benefits the believers. ### The Monotheist Group — The Quran: A Monotheist Translation And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. ### Rashad Khalifa — The Final Testament And remind, for the reminder benefits the believers. ### Mohamed Ahmed - Samira But go on reminding them, as reminding benefits the believers. ### Sahih International — (Umm Muhammad, Mary Kennedy, Amatullah Bantley) And remind, for indeed, the reminder benefits the believers. ### Muhammad Asad yet go on reminding [all who would listen]: for, verily, such a reminder will profit the believers. ### Marmaduke Pickthall And warn, for warning profiteth believers. ### Abul A'la Maududi — Tafhim commentary Do, however, keep exhorting them; for exhortation benefits those endowed with faith.[1] _Footnotes_ - [1] The Prophet (peace be upon him) has not been addressed here to be taught this method because, God forbid, in his preaching he unnecessarily pursued the people and Allah wanted to stop him from this fact, the real reason for stating this method is that when a preacher of the truth has done his best to make the people understand his message in a rational way and then seeing the signs of stubbornness in them withdraws from them, the people inveigh against him and start accusing him of indifference and inattention whereas, they, as they say, want to discuss things in order to understand his message. The fact, however, is that they do not intend to understand anything but only to involve the preacher in disputation and waste his time. Therefore, Allah Himself said in clear words: Turn away from them, you are not at all to blame for showing any indifference towards them. After this nobody could blame the Prophet (peace be upon him) that, according to the Book that he had brought, he had been appointed to make them understand his religion, then why he did not answer their objections. ### Abdel Khalek Himmat — Al- Muntakhab But keep reminding people of their duty to Allah, proclaiming His message, for making the message known shall benefit those whose hearts are impressed with the image of virtue and whose deeds are imprinted with wisdom and piety. ### Bijan Moeinian Continue admonishing; the believers will benefit from the admonition. ### Al-Hilali & Khan And remind (by preaching the Qur’ân, O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), for verily, the reminding profits the believers. ### Abdullah Yusuf Ali But teach (thy Message) for teaching benefits the Believers. ### Mustafa Khattab — The Clear Quran But ˹continue to˺ remind.
