And they make for God partners of the domini, when He created them; and they ascribe to Him sons and daughters without knowledge. Glory be to Him! And exalted is He above what they describe!

### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 139

Waqaloo ma fee butoonihathihi al-anAAami khalisatun lithukoorinawamuharramun AAala azwajina wa-inyakun maytatan fahum feehi shurakao sayajzeehim wasfahuminnahu hakeemun AAaleem

And they say: “What is in the bellies of these cattle is exclusively for our males and forbidden our wives; but if it be dead, then they are all partners therein.” He will requite them for their description; He is wise and knowing.

Wajaoo AAala qameesihibidamin kathibin qala bal sawwalat lakum anfusukumamran fasabrun jameelun wallahu almustaAAanuAAala ma tasifoon

And they came with false blood on his shirt. He said: “Nay, your souls have enticed you into a matter; then: comely patience — and God is the one whose aid is sought against what you describe.”

Qaloo in yasriq faqad saraqa akhunlahu min qablu faasarraha yoosufu fee nafsihi walam yubdihalahum qala antum sharrun makanan wallahuaAAlamu bima tasifoon

Said they: “If he steals, then there stole a brother of his before.” (But Joseph concealed it within his soul, and did not reveal it to them, saying: “You are in worse position; and God best knows what you describe.”)

### 16. Surah An-Nahl, Verse 62

WayajAAaloona lillahi mayakrahoona watasifu alsinatuhumu alkathiba annalahumu alhusna la jarama anna lahumu annarawaannahum mufratoon

And they assign to God what they dislike; and their tongues describe the lie that they will have the best. Without doubt, they will have the Fire, and they will be rushed in.

### 16. Surah An-Nahl, Verse 116

وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَا تَصِفُ اَلْسِنَتُكُمُ الْكَذِبَ هٰذَا حَلَالٌ وَهٰذَا حَرَامٌ لِتَفْتَرُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَۜ اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ يَفْتَرُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ لَا يُفْلِحُونَۜ

Wala taqooloo lima tasifualsinatukumu alkathiba hatha halalunwahatha haramun litaftaroo AAala Allahialkathiba inna allatheena yaftaroona AAalaAllahi alkathiba la yuflihoon

And add not to what your tongues describe the lie: “This is lawful, and this is unlawful,” to invent lies about God; those who invent lies about God will not succeed:

### 21. Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 18

Bal naqthifu bilhaqqiAAala albatili fayadmaghuhu fa-itha huwa zahiqunwalakumu alwaylu mimma tasifoon

But We hurl the truth against vanity and it triumphs over it, and then it passes away. And woe to you for what you describe!

### 21. Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 22

Law kana feehima alihatunilla Allahu lafasadata fasubhana Allahirabbi alAAarshi AAamma yasifoon

Were there in them gods save God, they would have been corrupted; and glory be to God, the Lord of the Throne, above what they describe!

### 21. Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 112

Say thou: “My Lord: judge Thou with justice. And our Lord is the Almighty, the one whose aid is sought against what you describe.”

### 23. Surah Al-Mu'minun, Verse 91

Ma ittakhatha Allahumin waladin wama kana maAAahu min ilahin ithanlathahaba kullu ilahin bima khalaqa walaAAalabaAAduhum AAala baAAdin subhana AllahiAAamma yasifoon

God has not taken any son. And there is not with Him any god; then would each god have taken what he created, and some of them would have overcome others. Glory be to God above what they describe —
