Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 144 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ — l-samāi · "the heaven" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case قَدْ نَرٰى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَٓاءِۚ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضٰيهَاۖ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِۜ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُۜ وَاِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ اَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْۜ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee assama-ifalanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhakashatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu makuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wa-inna allatheenaootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu minrabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAammayaAAmaloon We have seen the turning of thy face towards the sky, and We will turn thee towards a course that will satisfy thee. So direct thou thy face towards the inviolable place of worship. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 255 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case اَللّٰهُ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌۜ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ مَنْ ذَا الَّذ۪ي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِه۪ۜ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْد۪يهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ وَلَا يُح۪يطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِه۪ٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَٓاءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَۚ وَلَا يَؤُ۫دُهُ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظ۪يمُ Allahu la ilaha illahuwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la ta/khuthuhusinatun wala nawmun lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi man tha allatheeyashfaAAu AAindahu illa bi-ithnihi yaAAlamu mabayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoonabishay-in min AAilmihi illa bima shaawasiAAa kursiyyuhu assamawati wal-ardawala yaooduhu hifthuhumawahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheem God, there is no god save He, the Living, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him; to Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth — who will intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is after them, and they encompass not anything of His knowledge save what He wills. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 282 - **Form in this verse:** مُّسَمًّۭى — musamman · "fixed" - **Grammar:** adjective · pattern of tef'il · passive · masculine · genitive case · indefinite يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا تَدَايَنْتُمْ بِدَيْنٍ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُۜ وَلْيَكْتُبْ بَيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِۖ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ اَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْۚ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّٰهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْـٔاًۜ فَاِنْ كَانَ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَف۪يهاً اَوْ ضَع۪يفاً اَوْ لَا يَسْتَط۪يعُ اَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِۜ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَه۪يدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْۚ فَاِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَاَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَٓاءِ اَنْ تَضِلَّ اِحْدٰيهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ اِحْدٰيهُمَا الْاُخْرٰىۜ وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَٓاءُ اِذَا مَا دُعُواۜ وَلَا تَسْـَٔمُٓوا اَنْ تَكْتُبُوهُ صَغ۪يراً اَوْ كَب۪يراً اِلٰٓى اَجَلِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكُمْ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَاَدْنٰٓى اَلَّا تَرْتَابُٓوا اِلَّٓا اَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُد۪يرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَلَّا تَكْتُبُوهَاۜ وَاَشْهِدُٓوا اِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْۖ وَلَا يُضَٓارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَه۪يدٌۜ وَاِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْۜ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللّٰهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tadayantum bidaynin ila ajalin musammanfaktuboohu walyaktub baynakum katibun bilAAadliwala ya/ba katibun an yaktuba kamaAAallamahu Allahu falyaktub walyumlili allatheeAAalayhi alhaqqu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu walayabkhas minhu shay-an fa-in kana allathee AAalayhialhaqqu safeehan aw daAAeefan aw la yastateeAAuan yumilla huwa falyumlil waliyyuhu bilAAadli wastashhidooshaheedayni min rijalikum fa-in lam yakoonarajulayni farajulun wamraatani mimman tardawnamina ashshuhada-i an tadilla ihdahumafatuthakkira ihdahuma al-okhrawala ya/ba ashshuhadao itha maduAAoo wala tas-amoo an taktuboohu sagheeran awkabeeran ila ajalihi thalikum aqsatu AAindaAllahi waaqwamu lishshahadati waadnaalla tartaboo illa an takoona tijaratanhadiratan tudeeroonaha baynakum falaysa AAalaykumjunahun alla taktubooha waashhidoo ithatabayaAAtum wala yudarra katibun walashaheedun wa-in tafAAaloo fa-innahu fusooqun bikum wattaqooAllaha wayuAAallimukumu Allahu wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem O you who heed warning: when you contract a debt together to a stated term: write it down, and let a writer write it down between you justly; and let not a writer refuse to write it down as God has taught him; so let him write, and let the debtor dictate, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord, and diminish nothing thereof. But if the debtor be incompetent, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then his ally shall dictate justly. And call to witness two witnesses from among your men; but if there be not two men, then a man and two women among those you approve as witnesses, that should one of them err, one of them might remind the other; and let not the witnesses refuse when they are called. And be not weary of writing it, small or great, with its term (that is more just in the sight of God, and more upright for witness, and likelier that there will be no doubt between you) save if it be present trade that you transact among you; then you do no wrong that you write it not down. And take witnesses when you enter into contract. And let not a writer or witness be harmed. And if you do, then is it perfidy among you. And be in prudent fear of God. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 284 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَاِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا ف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِكُمْ اَوْ تُخْفُوهُ يُحَاسِبْكُمْ بِهِ اللّٰهُۜ فَيَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Lillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wa-in tubdoo ma feeanfusikum aw tukhfoohu yuhasibkum bihi Allahufayaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibu man yashaowallahu AAala kulli shay-in qadeer To God belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; whether you reveal what is within yourselves or hide it, God will call you to account for it. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 29 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case قُلْ اِنْ تُخْفُوا مَا ف۪ي صُدُورِكُمْ اَوْ تُبْدُوهُ يَعْلَمْهُ اللّٰهُۜ وَيَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Qul in tukhfoo ma fee sudoorikumaw tubdoohu yaAAlamhu Allahu wayaAAlamu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wallahu AAalakulli shay-in qadeer Say thou: “Whether you hide what is in your breasts or reveal it, God knows it. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 36 - **Form in this verse:** سَمَّيْتُهَا — sammaytuhā · "[I] (have) named her" - **Grammar:** verb · pattern of tef'il · 1st person, singular · past tense فَلَمَّا وَضَعَتْهَا قَالَتْ رَبِّ اِنّ۪ي وَضَعْتُهَٓا اُنْثٰىۜ وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِمَا وَضَعَتْۜ وَلَيْسَ الذَّكَرُ كَالْاُنْثٰىۚ وَاِنّ۪ي سَمَّيْتُهَا مَرْيَمَ وَاِنّ۪ٓي اُع۪يذُهَا بِكَ وَذُرِّيَّتَهَا مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّج۪يمِ Falamma wadaAAat-ha qalatrabbi innee wadaAAtuha ontha wallahuaAAlamu bima wadaAAat walaysa aththakarukalontha wa-innee sammaytuha maryamawa-innee oAAeethuha bika wathurriyyatahamina ashshaytani arrajeem Then when she had given birth to her, she said: “My Lord: I have given birth to a female,” — and God knew best to what she was to give birth; and the male is not like the female — “And I have named her Mary; and I seek refuge in Thee for her and her descendants from the accursed satan.” _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-36.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 45 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْمُهُ — us'muhu · "his name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case اِذْ قَالَتِ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ يَا مَرْيَمُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُبَشِّرُكِ بِكَلِمَةٍ مِنْهُۗ اِسْمُهُ الْمَس۪يحُ ع۪يسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ وَج۪يهاً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِ وَمِنَ الْمُقَرَّب۪ينَۙ Ith qalati almala-ikatuya maryamu inna Allaha yubashshiruki bikalimatinminhu ismuhu almaseehu AAeesa ibnu maryama wajeehanfee addunya wal-akhirati waminaalmuqarrabeen When the angels said: “O Mary: God gives thee glad tidings of a word from Him. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 129 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ۟ Walillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi yaghfiru liman yashaowayuAAaththibu man yashao wallahughafoorun raheem And to God belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 180 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَلَا يَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ يَبْخَلُونَ بِمَٓا اٰتٰيهُمُ اللّٰهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه۪ هُوَ خَيْراً لَهُمْۜ بَلْ هُوَ شَرٌّ لَهُمْۜ سَيُطَوَّقُونَ مَا بَخِلُوا بِه۪ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِۜ وَلِلّٰهِ م۪يرَاثُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يرٌ۟ Wala yahsabanna allatheenayabkhaloona bima atahummu Allahu minfadlihi huwa khayran lahum bal huwa sharrun lahum sayutawwaqoonama bakhiloo bihi yawma alqiyamati walillahimeerathu assamawati wal-ardiwallahu bima taAAmaloona khabeer And let not those who are miserly with what God gives them of His bounty think it good for them; the truth is, it is evil for them: hung about their necks will be that with which they were miserly on the Day of Resurrection; and to God belongs the inheritance of the heavens and the earth; and God is aware of what you do. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-180.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 191 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case اَلَّذ۪ينَ يَذْكُرُونَ اللّٰهَ قِيَاماً وَقُعُوداً وَعَلٰى جُنُوبِهِمْ وَيَتَفَكَّرُونَ ف۪ي خَلْقِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ رَبَّنَا مَا خَلَقْتَ هٰذَا بَاطِلاًۚ سُبْحَانَكَ فَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ Allatheena yathkuroona Allahaqiyaman waquAAoodan waAAala junoobihimwayatafakkaroona fee khalqi assamawati wal-ardirabbana ma khalaqta hatha batilan subhanakafaqina AAathaba annar Those who remember God, standing and sitting and on their sides, and reflect upon the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord: Thou createdst not this to no purpose. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 131 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَاِيَّاكُمْ اَنِ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَنِياًّ حَم۪يداً Walillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi walaqad wassaynaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wa-iyyakumani ittaqoo Allaha wa-in takfuroo fa-inna lillahi mafee assamawati wama fee al-ardiwakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameeda And to God belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; and We have enjoined those given the Writ before you, and you yourselves, that you be in prudent fear of God. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 131 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَلِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَلَقَدْ وَصَّيْنَا الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ وَاِيَّاكُمْ اَنِ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ غَنِياًّ حَم۪يداً Walillahi ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi walaqad wassaynaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum wa-iyyakumani ittaqoo Allaha wa-in takfuroo fa-inna lillahi mafee assamawati wama fee al-ardiwakana Allahu ghaniyyan hameeda And to God belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth; and We have enjoined those given the Writ before you, and you yourselves, that you be in prudent fear of God. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 153 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ — l-samāi · "the heaven" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case يَسْـَٔلُكَ اَهْلُ الْكِتَابِ اَنْ تُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْهِمْ كِتَاباً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ فَقَدْ سَاَلُوا مُوسٰٓى اَكْبَرَ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ فَقَالُٓوا اَرِنَا اللّٰهَ جَهْرَةً فَاَخَذَتْهُمُ الصَّاعِقَةُ بِظُلْمِهِمْۚ ثُمَّ اتَّخَذُوا الْعِجْلَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَٓاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ فَعَفَوْنَا عَنْ ذٰلِكَۚ وَاٰتَيْنَا مُوسٰى سُلْطَاناً مُب۪يناً Yas-aluka ahlu alkitabi an tunazzilaAAalayhim kitaban mina assama-i faqadsaaloo moosa akbara min thalika faqaloo arinaAllaha jahratan faakhathat-humu assaAAiqatubithulmihim thumma ittakhathoo alAAijla minbaAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatu faAAafawnaAAan thalika waatayna moosa sultananmubeena The doctors of the Law ask thee to bring down upon them a Writ from the sky; and they asked of Moses greater than that; they said: “Show thou us God openly”; so the thunderbolt seized them for their injustice. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 170 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case يَٓا اَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَٓاءَكُمُ الرَّسُولُ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَاٰمِنُوا خَيْراً لَكُمْۜ وَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَل۪يماً حَك۪يماً Ya ayyuha annasuqad jaakumu arrasoolu bilhaqqi minrabbikum faaminoo khayran lakum wa-in takfuroo fa-innalillahi ma fee assamawati wal-ardiwakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeema O mankind: the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord; so believe, it is better for you. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 171 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case يَٓا اَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا ف۪ي د۪ينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّۜ اِنَّمَا الْمَس۪يحُ ع۪يسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۚ اَلْقٰيهَٓا اِلٰى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُۘ فَاٰمِنُوا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِه۪ۚ وَلَا تَقُولُوا ثَلٰثَةٌۜ اِنْتَهُوا خَيْراً لَكُمْۜ اِنَّمَا اللّٰهُ اِلٰهٌ وَاحِدٌۜ سُبْحَانَهُٓ اَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌۢ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ وَك۪يلاً۟ Ya ahla alkitabi lataghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahiilla alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesaibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqahaila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo billahiwarusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahookhayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidunsubhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wakafa billahiwakeela O doctors of the Law: exceed not bounds in your doctrine, nor ascribe to God save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary was only the messenger of God, and His word which He conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and say not: “Three.” Desist; it is best for you. God is but One God. Glory be to Him that He should have a son! Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 4 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْمَ — is'ma · "(the) name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ مَاذَٓا اُحِلَّ لَهُمْۜ قُلْ اُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُۙ وَمَا عَلَّمْتُمْ مِنَ الْجَوَارِحِ مُكَلِّب۪ينَ تُعَلِّمُونَهُنَّ مِمَّا عَلَّمَكُمُ اللّٰهُۘ فَكُلُوا مِمَّٓا اَمْسَكْنَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَاذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَر۪يعُ الْحِسَابِ Yas-aloonaka matha ohilla lahumqul ohilla lakumu attayyibatu wamaAAallamtum mina aljawarihi mukallibeenatuAAallimoonahunna mimma AAallamakumu Allahufakuloo mimma amsakna AAalaykum wathkurooisma Allahi AAalayhi wattaqoo Allaha innaAllaha sareeAAu alhisab They ask thee what is made lawful for them. Say thou: “Made lawful for you are good things; and what you have trained of animals of prey as trainers teaching them of what God taught you — eat of what they catch for you, and remember the name of God over it. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 17 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case لَقَدْ كَفَرَ الَّذ۪ينَ قَالُٓوا اِنَّ اللّٰهَ هُوَ الْمَس۪يحُ ابْنُ مَرْيَمَۜ قُلْ فَمَنْ يَمْلِكُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـٔاً اِنْ اَرَادَ اَنْ يُهْلِكَ الْمَس۪يحَ ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ وَاُمَّهُ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِ جَم۪يعاًۜ وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَاۜ يَخْلُقُ مَا يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Laqad kafara allatheena qalooinna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama qul famanyamliku mina Allahi shay-an in arada an yuhlikaalmaseeha ibna maryama waommahu waman fee al-ardijameeAAan walillahi mulku assamawatiwal-ardi wama baynahuma yakhluqu mayashao wallahu AAala kulli shay-inqadeer They have denied who say: “God is the Messiah, son of Mary.” Say thou: “Who would have power over God for anything if He wished to destroy the Messiah, son of Mary, and his mother and everyone upon the earth altogether?” And to God belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth and what is between them. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 18 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَقَالَتِ الْيَهُودُ وَالنَّصَارٰى نَحْنُ اَبْنَٓاءُ اللّٰهِ وَاَحِبَّٓاؤُ۬هُۜ قُلْ فَلِمَ يُعَذِّبُكُمْ بِذُنُوبِكُمْۜ بَلْ اَنْتُمْ بَشَرٌ مِمَّنْ خَلَقَۜ يَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَلِلّٰهِ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَاۘ وَاِلَيْهِ الْمَص۪يرُ Waqalati alyahoodu wannasaranahnu abnao Allahi waahibbaohuqul falima yuAAaththibukum bithunoobikum bal antumbasharun mimman khalaqa yaghfiru liman yashao wayuAAaththibuman yashao walillahi mulku assamawatiwal-ardi wama baynahuma wa-ilayhialmaseer And the Rabbinic Jews and the Christians say: “We are the sons of God and His beloved.” Say thou: “Why then does He punish you for your transgressions?” Nay, you are but mortals among those He created; He forgives whom He wills, and He punishes whom He wills. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 40 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case اَلَمْ تَعْلَمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ يُعَذِّبُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ وَيَغْفِرُ لِمَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Alam taAAlam anna Allaha lahu mulku assamawatiwal-ardi yuAAaththibu man yashaowayaghfiru liman yashao wallahu AAalakulli shay-in qadeer Knowest thou not that God, to Him belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth? Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 97 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case جَعَلَ اللّٰهُ الْكَعْبَةَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ قِيَاماً لِلنَّاسِ وَالشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَالْهَدْيَ وَالْقَلَٓائِدَۜ ذٰلِكَ لِتَعْلَمُٓوا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ يَعْلَمُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ JaAAala Allahu alkaAAbata albayta alharamaqiyaman linnasi washshahra alharamawalhadya walqala-ida thalikalitaAAlamoo anna Allaha yaAAlamu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi waanna Allaha bikullishay-in AAaleem God made the kaʿba, the inviolable house, standing for the people, the inviolable month, the offering, and the necklaces — that is so that you might know that God knows what is in the heavens and what is in the earth, and that God knows all things. _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-97.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 112 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۖ — l-samāi · "the heaven" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case اِذْ قَالَ الْحَوَارِيُّونَ يَا ع۪يسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ هَلْ يَسْتَط۪يعُ رَبُّكَ اَنْ يُنَزِّلَ عَلَيْنَا مَٓائِدَةً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِۜ قَالَ اتَّقُوا اللّٰهَ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ Ith qala alhawariyyoonaya AAeesa ibna maryama hal yastateeAAurabbuka an yunazzila AAalayna ma-idatan mina assama-iqala ittaqoo Allaha in kuntum mu/mineen When the disciples said: “O Jesus, son of Mary: is thy Lord able to send down upon us a table spread from the sky?” he said: “Be in prudent fear of God, if you be believers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-112.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 114 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the heaven" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case قَالَ ع۪يسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ اللّٰهُمَّ رَبَّنَٓا اَنْزِلْ عَلَيْنَا مَٓائِدَةً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ تَكُونُ لَنَا ع۪يداً لِاَوَّلِنَا وَاٰخِرِنَا وَاٰيَةً مِنْكَۚ وَارْزُقْنَا وَاَنْتَ خَيْرُ الرَّازِق۪ينَ Qala AAeesa ibnu maryama allahummarabbana anzil AAalayna ma-idatan mina assama-itakoonu lana AAeedan li-awwalina waakhirinawaayatan minka warzuqna waanta khayru arraziqeen Jesus, son of Mary said: “O God, our Lord: send Thou down upon us a table spread from the sky to be a feast for us — for the first of us and the last of us — and a proof from Thee; and give Thou us provision; and Thou art the best of providers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-114.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 1 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · accusative case اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ وَجَعَلَ الظُّلُمَاتِ وَالنُّورَۜ ثُمَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ Alhamdu lillahi allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardawajaAAala aththulumati wannoorathumma allatheena kafaroo birabbihim yaAAdiloon Praise belongs to God who created the heavens and the earth and made darkness and the light! Surah Al-An'am, Verse 6 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءَ — l-samāa · "(rain from) the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · accusative case اَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَكُمْ وَاَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَٓاءَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِدْرَاراًۖ وَجَعَلْنَا الْاَنْهَارَ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً اٰخَر۪ينَ Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna assamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareen Have they not considered how many a generation We destroyed before them? We established them in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the sky upon them in abundant rains and made the rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their transgressions, and produced after them another generation. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-6.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 12 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case قُلْ لِمَنْ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ قُلْ لِلّٰهِۜ كَتَبَ عَلٰى نَفْسِهِ الرَّحْمَةَۜ لَيَجْمَعَنَّكُمْ اِلٰى يَوْمِ الْقِيٰمَةِ لَا رَيْبَ ف۪يهِۜ اَلَّذ۪ينَ خَسِرُٓوا اَنْفُسَهُمْ فَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ Qul liman ma fee assamawatiwal-ardi qul lillahi kataba AAalanafsihi arrahmata layajmaAAannakum ilayawmi alqiyamati la rayba feehi allatheenakhasiroo anfusahum fahum la yu/minoon Say thou: “To whom belongs what is in the heavens and the earth?” Say thou: “To God.” He has prescribed upon Himself mercy; (He will bring you all together to the Day of Resurrection whereof there is no doubt; those who have lost their souls: they do not believe. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-12.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 14 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case قُلْ اَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ اَتَّخِذُ وَلِياًّ فَاطِرِ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِ وَهُوَ يُطْعِمُ وَلَا يُطْعَمُۜ قُلْ اِنّ۪ٓي اُمِرْتُ اَنْ اَكُونَ اَوَّلَ مَنْ اَسْلَمَ وَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُشْرِك۪ينَ Qul aghayra Allahi attakhithuwaliyyan fatiri assamawati wal-ardiwahuwa yutAAimu wala yutAAamu qul inneeomirtu an akoona awwala man aslama wala takoonanna minaalmushrikeen Say thou: “Is it other than God I am to take as ally — the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth, and who feeds but is not fed?” Say thou: “I have been commanded to be first among those who submit”; and: “Be thou not among the idolaters.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-14.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 35 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case وَاِنْ كَانَ كَبُرَ عَلَيْكَ اِعْرَاضُهُمْ فَاِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ اَنْ تَبْتَغِيَ نَفَقاً فِي الْاَرْضِ اَوْ سُلَّماً فِي السَّمَٓاءِ فَتَأْتِيَهُمْ بِاٰيَةٍۜ وَلَوْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَمَعَهُمْ عَلَى الْهُدٰى فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْجَاهِل۪ينَ Wa-in kana kabura AAalayka iAAraduhumfa-ini istataAAta an tabtaghiya nafaqan fee al-ardiaw sullaman fee assama-i fata/tiyahum bi-ayatinwalaw shaa Allahu lajamaAAahum AAala alhudafala takoonanna mina aljahileen And if their evasion be hard for thee: if thou art able to seek a tunnel in the earth or a stairway in the sky to bring to them a proof[...]. And the day He says: “Be thou,” then it is. His word is the truth. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 99 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case وَهُوَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اَنْزَلَ مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ مَٓاءًۚ فَاَخْرَجْنَا بِه۪ نَبَاتَ كُلِّ شَيْءٍ فَاَخْرَجْنَا مِنْهُ خَضِراً نُخْرِجُ مِنْهُ حَباًّ مُتَرَاكِباًۚ وَمِنَ النَّخْلِ مِنْ طَلْعِهَا قِنْوَانٌ دَانِيَةٌ وَجَنَّاتٍ مِنْ اَعْنَابٍ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُشْتَبِهاً وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍۜ اُنْظُـرُٓوا اِلٰى ثَمَرِه۪ٓ اِذَٓا اَثْمَرَ وَيَنْعِه۪ۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكُمْ لَاٰيَاتٍ لِقَوْمٍ يُؤْمِنُونَ Wahuwa allathee anzala mina assama-imaan faakhrajna bihi nabata kulli shay-infaakhrajna minhu khadiran nukhriju minhu habbanmutarakiban wamina annakhli min talAAihaqinwanun daniyatun wajannatin min aAAnabinwazzaytoona warrummana mushtabihanwaghayra mutashabihin onthuroo ilathamarihi itha athmara wayanAAihi inna fee thalikumlaayatin liqawmin yu/minoon And He it is that sends down from the sky water; and We bring forth thereby the growth of all things; and We bring forth from it greenery, bringing forth from it grain heaped up; and from the date-palm, from its spathes, bunches of dates within reach; and gardens of grapevines and olives and pomegranates, similar yet different. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 119 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْمُ — us'mu · "(the) name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case وَمَا لَكُمْ اَلَّا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا ذُكِرَ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ وَقَدْ فَصَّلَ لَكُمْ مَا حَرَّمَ عَلَيْكُمْ اِلَّا مَا اضْطُرِرْتُمْ اِلَيْهِۜ وَاِنَّ كَث۪يراً لَيُضِلُّونَ بِاَهْوَٓائِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ عِلْمٍۜ اِنَّ رَبَّكَ هُوَ اَعْلَمُ بِالْمُعْتَد۪ينَ Wama lakum alla ta/kuloo mimmathukira ismu Allahi AAalayhi waqad fassalalakum ma harrama AAalaykum illa ma idturirtumilayhi wa-inna katheeran layudilloona bi-ahwa-ihimbighayri AAilmin inna rabbaka huwa aAAlamu bilmuAAtadeen And what is with you that you eat not of that over which the name of God has been remembered when He has set out and detailed to you what is forbidden you save that you be compelled thereto? Surah Al-An'am, Verse 121 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْمُ — us'mu · "(the) name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِمَّا لَمْ يُذْكَرِ اسْمُ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهِ وَاِنَّهُ لَفِسْقٌۜ وَاِنَّ الشَّيَاط۪ينَ لَيُوحُونَ اِلٰٓى اَوْلِيَٓائِهِمْ لِيُجَادِلُوكُمْۚ وَاِنْ اَطَعْتُمُوهُمْ اِنَّكُمْ لَمُشْرِكُونَ۟ Wala ta/kuloo mimma lam yuthkariismu Allahi AAalayhi wa-innahu lafisqun wa-inna ashshayateenalayoohoona ila awliya-ihim liyujadilookumwa-in ataAAtumoohum innakum lamushrikoon And eat not of that over which the name of God has not been remembered; and it is perfidy. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 125 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ ۚ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case فَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يَهْدِيَهُ يَشْرَحْ صَدْرَهُ لِلْاِسْلَامِۚ وَمَنْ يُرِدْ اَنْ يُضِلَّهُ يَجْعَلْ صَدْرَهُ ضَيِّقاً حَرَجاً كَاَنَّمَا يَصَّعَّدُ فِي السَّمَٓاءِۜ كَذٰلِكَ يَجْعَلُ اللّٰهُ الرِّجْسَ عَلَى الَّذ۪ينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ Faman yuridi Allahu an yahdiyahuyashrah sadrahu lil-islami waman yurid an yudillahuyajAAal sadrahu dayyiqan harajan kaannamayassaAAAAadu fee assama-i kathalikayajAAalu Allahu arrijsa AAala allatheenala yu/minoon And whom God wills to guide, He expands his breast towards submission; and whom He wills to lead astray, He makes his breast constricted, distressed, as if he were ascending into the sky; thus does God appoint abomination for those who do not believe. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-125.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 138 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْمَ — is'ma · "(the) name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case وَقَالُوا هٰذِه۪ٓ اَنْعَامٌ وَحَرْثٌ حِجْرٌۘ لَا يَطْعَمُهَٓا اِلَّا مَنْ نَشَٓاءُ بِزَعْمِهِمْ وَاَنْعَامٌ حُرِّمَتْ ظُهُورُهَا وَاَنْعَامٌ لَا يَذْكُرُونَ اسْمَ اللّٰهِ عَلَيْهَا افْتِرَٓاءً عَلَيْهِۜ سَيَجْز۪يهِمْ بِمَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ Waqaloo hathihi anAAamunwaharthun hijrun la yatAAamuhailla man nashao bizaAAmihim waanAAamun hurrimatthuhooruha waanAAamun la yathkuroonaisma Allahi AAalayha iftiraan AAalayhisayajzeehim bima kanoo yaftaroon And they say: “These cattle and tilth are taboo; none is to eat them save whom we will,” — according to their claim — “and cattle whose backs are made unlawful,” and cattle over which they remember not the name of God, as an invention against Him; He will requite them for what they invented. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-138.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 40 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "(of) the heaven" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَذَّبُوا بِاٰيَاتِنَا وَاسْتَكْبَرُوا عَنْهَا لَا تُفَتَّحُ لَهُمْ اَبْوَابُ السَّمَٓاءِ وَلَا يَدْخُلُونَ الْجَنَّةَ حَتّٰى يَلِجَ الْجَمَلُ ف۪ي سَمِّ الْخِيَاطِۜ وَكَذٰلِكَ نَجْزِي الْمُجْرِم۪ينَ Inna allatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawastakbaroo AAanha la tufattahulahum abwabu assama-i walayadkhuloona aljannata hatta yalija aljamalu feesammi alkhiyati wakathalika najzee almujrimeen Those who deny Our proofs and wax proud at them: for them the gates of heaven will not be opened, nor will they enter the Garden any more than a twisted rope can pass through the eye of a needle; and thus We requite the lawbreakers. _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-40.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 54 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · accusative case اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ ف۪ي سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُغْشِي الَّيْلَ النَّهَارَ يَطْلُبُهُ حَث۪يثاًۙ وَالشَّمْسَ وَالْقَمَرَ وَالنُّجُومَ مُسَخَّرَاتٍ بِاَمْرِه۪ۜ اَلَا لَهُ الْخَلْقُ وَالْاَمْرُۜ تَبَارَكَ اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَم۪ينَ Inna rabbakumu Allahu allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardafee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi yughshee allayla annahara yatlubuhuhatheethan washshamsa walqamara wannujoomamusakhkharatin bi-amrihi ala lahu alkhalqu wal-amrutabaraka Allahu rabbu alAAalameen Your Lord is God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne. He covers the night, the day hastening after it swiftly, and the sun and the moon and the stars are subject by His command. In truth, His are the creation and the command. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 71 - **Form in this verse:** أَسْمَآءٍۢ — asmāin · "names" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · genitive case · indefinite قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌۜ اَتُجَادِلُونَن۪ي ف۪ٓي اَسْمَٓاءٍ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَٓا اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَٓاؤُ۬كُمْ مَا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍۜ فَانْتَظِرُٓوا اِنّ۪ي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِر۪ينَ Qala qad waqaAAa AAalaykum minrabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asma-insammaytumooha antum waabaokum manazzala Allahu biha min sultanin fantathirooinnee maAAakum mina almuntathireen He said: “There have come upon you from your Lord abomination and wrath; dispute you with me concerning names which you have named, you and your fathers? Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 71 - **Form in this verse:** سَمَّيْتُمُوهَآ — sammaytumūhā · "you have named them" - **Grammar:** verb · pattern of tef'il · 2nd person, masculine, plural · past tense قَالَ قَدْ وَقَعَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ رِجْسٌ وَغَضَبٌۜ اَتُجَادِلُونَن۪ي ف۪ٓي اَسْمَٓاءٍ سَمَّيْتُمُوهَٓا اَنْتُمْ وَاٰبَٓاؤُ۬كُمْ مَا نَزَّلَ اللّٰهُ بِهَا مِنْ سُلْطَانٍۜ فَانْتَظِرُٓوا اِنّ۪ي مَعَكُمْ مِنَ الْمُنْتَظِر۪ينَ Qala qad waqaAAa AAalaykum minrabbikum rijsun waghadabun atujadiloonanee fee asma-insammaytumooha antum waabaokum manazzala Allahu biha min sultanin fantathirooinnee maAAakum mina almuntathireen He said: “There have come upon you from your Lord abomination and wrath; dispute you with me concerning names which you have named, you and your fathers? Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 158 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "(of) the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case قُلْ يَٓا اَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنّ۪ي رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ اِلَيْكُمْ جَم۪يعاًۨ الَّذ۪ي لَهُ مُلْكُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۚ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَ يُحْـي۪ وَيُم۪يتُۖ فَاٰمِنُوا بِاللّٰهِ وَرَسُولِهِ النَّبِيِّ الْاُمِّيِّ الَّذ۪ي يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَكَلِمَاتِه۪ وَاتَّبِعُوهُ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَهْتَدُونَ Qul ya ayyuha annasuinnee rasoolu Allahi ilaykum jameeAAan allatheelahu mulku assamawati wal-ardila ilaha illa huwa yuhyee wayumeetufaaminoo billahi warasoolihi annabiyyial-ommiyyi allathee yu/minu billahi wakalimatihiwattabiAAoohu laAAallakum tahtadoon (Say thou: “O mankind: I am the messenger of God to you all together — to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth. There is no god save He. He gives life and He gives death.” So believe in God and His messenger, the unschooled prophet, who believes in God and His words; and follow him, that you might be guided.) _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-158.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 162 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case فَبَدَّلَ الَّذ۪ينَ ظَلَمُوا مِنْهُمْ قَوْلاً غَيْرَ الَّذ۪ي ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ فَاَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِجْزاً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ بِمَا كَانُوا يَظْلِمُونَ۟ Fabaddala allatheena thalamoominhum qawlan ghayra allathee qeela lahum faarsalnaAAalayhim rijzan mina assama-i bima kanooyathlimoon Then those who did wrong among them changed the word to other than what had been said to them; so We sent upon them a scourge from the sky because they did wrong. _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-162.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 187 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ السَّاعَةِ اَيَّانَ مُرْسٰيهَاۜ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ رَبّ۪يۚ لَا يُجَلّ۪يهَا لِوَقْتِهَٓا اِلَّا هُوَۜ ثَقُلَتْ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ لَا تَأْت۪يكُمْ اِلَّا بَغْتَةًۜ يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ كَاَنَّكَ حَفِيٌّ عَنْهَاۜ قُلْ اِنَّمَا عِلْمُهَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَلٰكِنَّ اَكْثَرَ النَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ Yas-aloonaka AAani assaAAatiayyana mursaha qul innama AAilmuhaAAinda rabbee la yujalleeha liwaqtiha illahuwa thaqulat fee assamawati wal-ardila ta/teekum illa baghtatan yas-aloonaka kaannaka hafiyyunAAanha qul innama AAilmuha AAinda Allahiwalakinna akthara annasi layaAAlamoon They ask thee concerning the Hour: “When is its arrival?” Say thou: “Knowledge thereof is but with my Lord; none reveals its time save He. It weighs heavily in the heavens and the earth; it comes not upon you save unexpectedly.” They ask thee as though thou wert privy thereto; say thou: “Knowledge thereof is but with God”; but most men know not. _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-187.md_ ### 8. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 36 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case اِنَّ عِدَّةَ الشُّهُورِ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْراً ف۪ي كِتَابِ اللّٰهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ مِنْهَٓا اَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌۜ ذٰلِكَ الدّ۪ينُ الْقَيِّمُ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا ف۪يهِنَّ اَنْفُسَكُمْ وَقَاتِلُوا الْمُشْرِك۪ينَ كَٓافَّةً كَمَا يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ كَٓافَّةًۜ وَاعْلَمُٓوا اَنَّ اللّٰهَ مَعَ الْمُتَّق۪ينَ Inna AAiddata ashshuhoori AAinda Allahiithna AAashara shahran fee kitabi Allahiyawma khalaqa assamawati wal-ardaminha arbaAAatun hurumun thalika addeenualqayyimu fala tathlimoo feehinna anfusakumwaqatiloo almushrikeena kaffatan kama yuqatiloonakumkaffatan waAAlamoo anna Allaha maAAaalmuttaqeen The count of months is with God; twelve months were in the Writ of God the day He created the heavens and the earth; from it are four inviolable. Surah Yunus, Verse 3 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · accusative case اِنَّ رَبَّكُمُ اللّٰهُ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ ف۪ي سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ ثُمَّ اسْتَوٰى عَلَى الْعَرْشِ يُدَبِّرُ الْاَمْرَۜ مَا مِنْ شَف۪يعٍ اِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ اِذْنِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكُمُ اللّٰهُ رَبُّكُمْ فَاعْبُدُوهُۜ اَفَلَا تَذَكَّرُونَ Inna rabbakumu Allahu allatheekhalaqa assamawati wal-ardafee sittati ayyamin thumma istawa AAalaalAAarshi yudabbiru al-amra ma min shafeeAAin illamin baAAdi ithnihi thalikumu Allahu rabbukumfaAAbudoohu afala tathakkaroon Your Lord is God, who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then established Himself upon the Throne, directing the matter. Surah Yunus, Verse 18 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ مَا لَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْ وَيَقُولُونَ هٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ شُفَعَٓاؤُ۬نَا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۜ قُلْ اَتُنَبِّؤُ۫نَ اللّٰهَ بِمَا لَا يَعْلَمُ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَلَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ سُبْحَانَهُ وَتَعَالٰى عَمَّا يُشْرِكُونَ WayaAAbudoona min dooni Allahi mala yadurruhum wala yanfaAAuhum wayaqooloonahaola-i shufaAAaona AAinda Allahiqul atunabbi-oona Allaha bima la yaAAlamufee assamawati wala fee al-ardisubhanahu wataAAala AAamma yushrikoon And they serve, besides God, what neither harms them nor benefits them; and they say: “These are our intercessors with God.” Say thou: “Would you inform God of what He knows not in the heavens or in the earth?” Glory be to Him! Surah Yunus, Verse 24 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case اِنَّمَا مَثَلُ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا كَمَٓاءٍ اَنْزَلْنَاهُ مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ فَاخْتَلَطَ بِه۪ نَبَاتُ الْاَرْضِ مِمَّا يَأْكُلُ النَّاسُ وَالْاَنْعَامُۜ حَتّٰٓى اِذَٓا اَخَذَتِ الْاَرْضُ زُخْرُفَهَا وَازَّيَّـنَتْ وَظَنَّ اَهْلُهَٓا اَنَّهُمْ قَادِرُونَ عَلَيْهَٓاۙ اَتٰيهَٓا اَمْرُنَا لَيْلاً اَوْ نَهَاراً فَجَعَلْنَاهَا حَص۪يداً كَاَنْ لَمْ تَغْنَ بِالْاَمْسِۜ كَذٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ الْاٰيَاتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ Innama mathalu alhayatiaddunya kama-in anzalnahu mina assama-ifakhtalata bihi nabatu al-ardi mimmaya/kulu annasu wal-anAAamu hattaitha akhathati al-ardu zukhrufaha wazzayyanatwathanna ahluha annahum qadiroonaAAalayha ataha amruna laylan aw naharanfajaAAalnaha haseedan kaan lam taghnabil-amsi kathalika nufassilu al-ayatiliqawmin yatafakkaroon The likeness of the life of this world is but like water We send down from the sky, and the plants of the earth mingle with it, whereof men and cattle eat: when the earth has taken her decoration, and is made fair, and its people think they have power over it, Our command comes by night or by day, and We make it reaped as if it had not flourished the day before — thus do We set out and detail the proofs for people who reflect. _https://quran.so/surah-yunus/verse-24.md_ ### 10. Surah Yunus, Verse 31 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case قُلْ مَنْ يَرْزُقُكُمْ مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ وَالْاَرْضِ اَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ السَّمْعَ وَالْاَبْصَارَ وَمَنْ يُخْرِجُ الْحَيَّ مِنَ الْمَيِّتِ وَيُخْرِجُ الْمَيِّتَ مِنَ الْحَيِّ وَمَنْ يُدَبِّرُ الْاَمْرَۜ فَسَيَقُولُونَ اللّٰهُۚ فَقُلْ اَفَلَا تَتَّقُونَ Qul man yarzuqukum mina assama-iwal-ardi amman yamliku assamAAa wal-absarawaman yukhriju alhayya mina almayyiti wayukhriju almayyitamina alhayyi waman yudabbiru al-amra fasayaqooloona Allahufaqul afala tattaqoon Say thou: “Who provides for you from the heaven and the earth?” If He who owns the hearing and the sight, and He who brings forth the living from the dead and brings forth the dead from the living, and He who directs the matter — then will they say: “God” — then say thou: “Will you then not be in prudent fear!” _https://quran.so/surah-yunus/verse-31.md_ ### 10. Surah Yunus, Verse 61 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءِ — l-samāi · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case وَمَا تَكُونُ ف۪ي شَأْنٍ وَمَا تَتْلُوا مِنْهُ مِنْ قُرْاٰنٍ وَلَا تَعْمَلُونَ مِنْ عَمَلٍ اِلَّا كُنَّا عَلَيْكُمْ شُهُوداً اِذْ تُف۪يضُونَ ف۪يهِۜ وَمَا يَعْزُبُ عَنْ رَبِّكَ مِنْ مِثْقَالِ ذَرَّةٍ فِي الْاَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَٓاءِ وَلَٓا اَصْغَرَ مِنْ ذٰلِكَ وَلَٓا اَكْبَرَ اِلَّا ف۪ي كِتَابٍ مُب۪ينٍ Wama takoonu fee sha/nin wamatatloo minhu min qur-anin wala taAAmaloona minAAamalin illa kunna AAalaykum shuhoodan ithtufeedoona feehi wama yaAAzubu AAan rabbika minmithqali tharratin fee al-ardi walafee assama-i wala asghara min thalikawala akbara illa fee kitabin mubeen And thou art not in any matter, and thou recitest not from it any recital, and you do no deed save that We are over you witnesses when you are engaged therein; and there does not escape thy Lord the weight of an atom in the earth or in the heaven. Surah Yunus, Verse 66 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case اَلَٓا اِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَنْ فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَنْ فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَمَا يَتَّبِعُ الَّذ۪ينَ يَدْعُونَ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ شُرَكَٓاءَۜ اِنْ يَتَّبِعُونَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنْ هُمْ اِلَّا يَخْرُصُونَ Ala inna lillahi man fee assamawatiwaman fee al-ardi wama yattabiAAu allatheenayadAAoona min dooni Allahi shurakaa inyattabiAAoona illa aththanna wa-inhum illa yakhrusoon In truth, to God belongs whoso is in the heavens and whoso is in the earth; and they follow — those who call to partners other than God — they follow only assumption; and they are only guessing. _https://quran.so/surah-yunus/verse-66.md_ ### 10. Surah Yunus, Verse 68 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case قَالُوا اتَّخَذَ اللّٰهُ وَلَداً سُبْحَانَهُۜ هُوَ الْغَنِيُّۜ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ اِنْ عِنْدَ‌كُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ بِهٰذَاۜ اَتَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ Qaloo ittakhatha Allahuwaladan subhanahu huwa alghaniyyu lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi in AAindakum min sultaninbihatha ataqooloona AAala Allahi ma lataAAlamoon They say: “God has taken a son.” Glory be to Him! He is the Free from Need; to Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth! Surah Hud, Verse 3 - **Form in this verse:** مُّسَمًّۭى — musamman · "appointed" - **Grammar:** noun · pattern of tef'il · passive · masculine · genitive case · indefinite وَاَنِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُٓوا اِلَيْهِ يُمَتِّعْكُمْ مَتَاعاً حَسَناً اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى وَيُؤْتِ كُلَّ ذ۪ي فَضْلٍ فَضْلَهُۜ وَاِنْ تَوَلَّوْا فَاِنّ۪ٓي اَخَافُ عَلَيْكُمْ عَذَابَ يَوْمٍ كَب۪يرٍ Waani istaghfiroo rabbakum thumma toobooilayhi yumattiAAkum mataAAan hasanan ilaajalin musamman wayu/ti kulla thee fadlin fadlahuwa-in tawallaw fa-inee akhafu AAalaykum AAathabayawmin kabeer And: “Ask forgiveness of your Lord; then turn to Him, He will cause you to enjoy a fair provision to a stated term; and He will give every bountiful one his bounty; but if you turn away, I fear for you the punishment of a great day; _https://quran.so/surah-hud/verse-3.md_ ### 11. Surah Hud, Verse 7 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ — l-samāwāti · "the heavens" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · genitive case وَهُوَ الَّذ۪ي خَلَقَ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَ ف۪ي سِتَّةِ اَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَرْشُهُ عَلَى الْمَٓاءِ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ اَيُّكُمْ اَحْسَنُ عَمَلاًۜ وَلَئِنْ قُلْتَ اِنَّكُمْ مَبْعُوثُونَ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْمَوْتِ لَيَقُولَنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُٓوا اِنْ هٰذَٓا اِلَّا سِحْرٌ مُب۪ينٌ Wahuwa allathee khalaqa assamawatiwal-arda fee sittati ayyamin wakanaAAarshuhu AAala alma-i liyabluwakum ayyukum ahsanuAAamalan wala-in qulta innakum mabAAoothoona min baAAdi almawtilayaqoolanna allatheena kafaroo in hatha illasihrun mubeen And He it is that created the heavens and the earth in six days, — and His Throne was upon the water — that He might try you, which of you is best in deed. And if thou sayest: “You will be raised up after death,” those who ignore warning will say: “This is only obvious sorcery.” _https://quran.so/surah-hud/verse-7.md_ ### 11. Surah Hud, Verse 41 - **Form in this verse:** بِسْمِ — bis'mi · "in the name" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَقَالَ ارْكَبُوا ف۪يهَا بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ مَجْرٰۭۙيهَا وَمُرْسٰيهَاۜ اِنَّ رَبّ۪ي لَغَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ Waqala irkaboo feeha bismi Allahimajraha wamursaha inna rabbeelaghafoorun raheem And he said: “Embark therein! Surah Hud, Verse 44 - **Form in this verse:** وَيَـٰسَمَآءُ — wayāsamāu · "and O sky" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · nominative case وَق۪يلَ يَٓا اَرْضُ ابْلَع۪ي مَٓاءَكِ وَيَا سَمَٓاءُ اَقْلِع۪ي وَغ۪يضَ الْمَٓاءُ وَقُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ وَاسْتَوَتْ عَلَى الْجُودِيِّ وَق۪يلَ بُعْداً لِلْقَوْمِ الظَّالِم۪ينَ Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru wastawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi aththalimeen And it was said: “O earth: swallow thou thy water,” and: “O sky: desist thou,” and the water subsided and the matter was concluded. Surah Hud, Verse 52 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلسَّمَآءَ — l-samāa · "(from) the sky (rain)" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · accusative case وَيَا قَوْمِ اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ ثُمَّ تُوبُٓوا اِلَيْهِ يُرْسِلِ السَّمَٓاءَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِدْرَاراً وَيَزِدْكُمْ قُوَّةً اِلٰى قُوَّتِكُمْ وَلَا تَتَوَلَّوْا مُجْرِم۪ينَ Waya qawmi istaghfiroo rabbakumthumma tooboo ilayhi yursili assamaa AAalaykummidraran wayazidkum quwwatan ila quwwatikum walatatawallaw mujrimeen And: “O my people: ask forgiveness of your Lord; then turn to Him.
