Get you down to Egypt, and you will have what you have asked.” And humiliation and wretchedness were pitched upon them; and they incurred wrath from God, for it is that they denied the proofs of God! So direct thou thy face towards the inviolable place of worship. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 178 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّكُمْ — rabbikum · "your Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا كُتِبَ عَلَيْكُمُ الْقِصَاصُ فِي الْقَتْلٰىۜ اَلْحُرُّ بِالْحُرِّ وَالْعَبْدُ بِالْعَبْدِ وَالْاُنْثٰى بِالْاُنْثٰىۜ فَمَنْ عُفِيَ لَهُ مِنْ اَخ۪يهِ شَيْءٌ فَاتِّبَاعٌ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَاَدَٓاءٌ اِلَيْهِ بِاِحْسَانٍۜ ذٰلِكَ تَخْف۪يفٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَرَحْمَةٌۜ فَمَنِ اعْتَدٰى بَعْدَ ذٰلِكَ فَلَهُ عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookutiba AAalaykumu alqisasu fee alqatla alhurrubilhurri walAAabdu bilAAabdi walonthabilontha faman AAufiya lahu min akheehi shay-on fattibaAAunbilmaAAroofi waadaon ilayhi bi-ihsaninthalika takhfeefun min rabbikum warahmatun famaniiAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabunaleem O you who heed warning: just requital is ordained for you concerning those killed: the freeman for the freeman, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoso is pardoned anything by his brother, let the pursuance be according to what is fitting and the payment to him with good conduct; that is an alleviation and mercy from your Lord. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 198 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّكُمْ ۚ — rabbikum · "your Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلاً مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۜ فَاِذَٓا اَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِۖ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدٰيكُمْۚ وَاِنْ كُنْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِه۪ لَمِنَ الضَّٓالّ۪ينَ Laysa AAalaykum junahun an tabtaghoofadlan min rabbikum fa-itha afadtum minAAarafatin fathkuroo Allaha AAindaalmashAAari alharami wathkuroohu kamahadakum wa-in kuntum min qablihi lamina addalleen You do no wrong to seek favour from your Lord. And when you pour forth from ʿArafāt, then remember God at Al-Mashʿar Al-Ḥarām. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 200 - **Form in this verse:** رَبَّنَآ — rabbanā · "Our Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case فَاِذَا قَضَيْتُمْ مَنَاسِكَكُمْ فَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ كَذِكْرِكُمْ اٰبَٓاءَكُمْ اَوْ اَشَدَّ ذِكْراًۜ فَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَقُولُ رَبَّنَٓا اٰتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا وَمَا لَهُ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ Fa-itha qadaytum manasikakumfathkuroo Allaha kathikrikum abaakumaw ashadda thikran famina annasi manyaqoolu rabbana atina fee addunyawama lahu fee al-akhirati min khalaq And when you have concluded your rites, remember God like your remembrance of your fathers, or with stronger remembrance. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 248 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّكُمْ — rabbikum · "your Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ اِنَّ اٰيَةَ مُلْكِه۪ٓ اَنْ يَأْتِيَكُمُ التَّابُوتُ ف۪يهِ سَك۪ينَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ وَبَقِيَّةٌ مِمَّا تَرَكَ اٰلُ مُوسٰى وَاٰلُ هٰرُونَ تَحْمِلُهُ الْمَلٰٓئِكَةُۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ۟ Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna ayatamulkihi an ya/tiyakumu attabootu feehi sakeenatunmin rabbikum wabaqiyyatun mimma taraka alu moosawaalu haroona tahmiluhu almala-ikatuinna fee thalika laayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineen And their prophet said to them: “A proof of his dominion is that there will come to you the chest wherein is tranquillity from your Lord, and a remnant of what the house of Moses and the house of Aaron left, borne by angels; in that is a proof for you, if you be believers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-248.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 258 - **Form in this verse:** رَبِّهِۦٓ — rabbihi · "his Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ي حَٓاجَّ اِبْرٰه۪يمَ ف۪ي رَبِّه۪ٓ اَنْ اٰتٰيهُ اللّٰهُ الْمُلْكَۢ اِذْ قَالَ اِبْرٰه۪يمُ رَبِّيَ الَّذ۪ي يُحْـي۪ وَيُم۪يتُۙ قَالَ اَنَا۬ اُحْـي۪ وَاُم۪يتُۜ قَالَ اِبْرٰه۪يمُ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْت۪ي بِالشَّمْسِ مِنَ الْمَشْرِقِ فَأْتِ بِهَا مِنَ الْمَغْرِبِ فَبُهِتَ الَّذ۪ي كَفَرَۜ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِم۪ينَۚ Alam tara ila allathee hajjaibraheema fee rabbihi an atahu Allahualmulka ith qala ibraheemu rabbiya allatheeyuhyee wayumeetu qala ana ohyeewaomeetu qala ibraheemu fa-inna Allahaya/tee bishshamsi mina almashriqi fa/ti biha minaalmaghribi fabuhita allathee kafara wallahula yahdee alqawma aththalimeen Hast thou not considered the one who disputed with Abraham concerning his Lord because God had given him dominion? When Abraham said: “My Lord is He who gives life, and gives death,” he said: “I give life, and I give death.” Abraham said: “God brings the sun from the East; so bring thou it from the West.” Then was the one who ignored warning lost for words; and God guides not the wrongdoing people. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-258.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 260 - **Form in this verse:** رَبِّ — rabbi · "My Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case وَاِذْ قَالَ اِبْرٰه۪يمُ رَبِّ اَرِن۪ي كَيْفَ تُحْـيِ الْمَوْتٰىۜ قَالَ اَوَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْۜ قَالَ بَلٰى وَلٰكِنْ لِيَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْب۪يۜ قَالَ فَخُذْ اَرْبَعَةً مِنَ الطَّيْرِ فَصُرْهُنَّ اِلَيْكَ ثُمَّ اجْعَلْ عَلٰى كُلِّ جَبَلٍ مِنْهُنَّ جُزْءاً ثُمَّ ادْعُهُنَّ يَأْت۪ينَكَ سَعْياًۜ وَاعْلَمْ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ عَز۪يزٌ حَك۪يمٌ۟ Wa-ith qala ibraheemurabbi arinee kayfa tuhyee almawta qala awalam tu/min qala bala walakin liyatma-innaqalbee qala fakhuth arbaAAatan mina attayrifasurhunna ilayka thumma ijAAal AAala kulli jabalinminhunna juz-an thumma odAAuhunna ya/teenaka saAAyan waAAlamanna Allaha AAazeezun hakeem And when Abraham said: “My Lord, show Thou me how Thou wilt give life to the dead,” He said: “Dost thou not believe?” Said he: “Verily, but that my heart should be at rest.” He said: “Take thou four birds, and cause thou them to incline to thee; then place thou a part of them upon each hill; then call thou to them — they will come to thee in haste. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 262 - **Form in this verse:** رَبِّهِمْ — rabbihim · "their Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case اَلَّذ۪ينَ يُنْفِقُونَ اَمْوَالَهُمْ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتْبِعُونَ مَٓا اَنْفَقُوا مَناًّ وَلَٓا اَذًۙى لَهُمْ اَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ Allatheena yunfiqoona amwalahumfee sabeeli Allahi thumma la yutbiAAoona maanfaqoo mannan wala athan lahum ajruhum AAindarabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon Those who spend their wealth in the cause of God, then follow not what they have spent with condescension or hindrance, they have their reward with their Lord; and no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-262.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 275 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّهِۦ — rabbihi · "His Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case اَلَّذ۪ينَ يَأْكُلُونَ الرِّبٰوا لَا يَقُومُونَ اِلَّا كَمَا يَقُومُ الَّذ۪ي يَتَخَبَّطُهُ الشَّيْطَانُ مِنَ الْمَسِّۜ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ قَالُٓوا اِنَّمَا الْبَيْعُ مِثْلُ الرِّبٰواۢ وَاَحَلَّ اللّٰهُ الْبَيْعَ وَحَرَّمَ الرِّبٰواۜ فَمَنْ جَٓاءَهُ مَوْعِظَةٌ مِنْ رَبِّه۪ فَانْتَهٰى فَلَهُ مَا سَلَفَۜ وَاَمْرُهُٓ اِلَى اللّٰهِۜ وَمَنْ عَادَ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ اَصْحَابُ النَّارِۚ هُمْ ف۪يهَا خَالِدُونَ Allatheena ya/kuloona arribala yaqoomoona illa kama yaqoomu allatheeyatakhabbatuhu ashshaytanu mina almassi thalikabi-annahum qaloo innama albayAAu mithlu arribawaahalla Allahu albayAAa waharrama arribafaman jaahu mawAAithatun min rabbihi fantahafalahu ma salafa waamruhu ila Allahi wamanAAada faola-ika as-habu annarihum feeha khalidoon Those who consume usury will not stand save as stands he whom the satan buffets with his touch; for it is that they say: “Commerce is but the same as usury,” when God has made commerce lawful and forbidden usury! And he to whom came the admonition from his Lord, and desisted: he has what is past, and his case is with God. But if the debtor be incompetent, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then his ally shall dictate justly. And call to witness two witnesses from among your men; but if there be not two men, then a man and two women among those you approve as witnesses, that should one of them err, one of them might remind the other; and let not the witnesses refuse when they are called. And be not weary of writing it, small or great, with its term (that is more just in the sight of God, and more upright for witness, and likelier that there will be no doubt between you) save if it be present trade that you transact among you; then you do no wrong that you write it not down. And take witnesses when you enter into contract. And let not a writer or witness be harmed. And if you do, then is it perfidy among you. And be in prudent fear of God. But if one of you trusts another, then let him who is trusted discharge his trust, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord. Our Lord: lay Thou not upon us a burden as Thou didst lay upon those before us. Our Lord: give Thou us not to bear what we have not strength for. And excuse Thou us, and forgive Thou us, and have Thou mercy upon us; Thou art our protector. Then as for those in whose hearts is deviation: they follow what is ambiguous thereof, seeking the means of denial, and seeking its interpretation. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 37 - **Form in this verse:** رَبُّهَا — rabbuhā · "her Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَاَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتاً حَسَناًۙ وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّاۜ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَۙ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقاًۚ قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ اَنّٰى لَكِ هٰذَاۜ قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ Fataqabbalaha rabbuhabiqaboolin hasanin waanbataha nabatan hasananwakaffalaha zakariyya kullama dakhalaAAalayha zakariyya almihraba wajadaAAindaha rizqan qala ya maryamu annalaki hatha qalat huwa min AAindi Allahi innaAllaha yarzuqu man yashao bighayri hisab So her Lord accepted her with a comely acceptance, and caused her to grow with a comely growth, and placed her in the charge of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah entered upon her in the chamber, he found with her provision. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 49 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّكُمْ ۖ — rabbikum · "your Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَرَسُولاً اِلٰى بَن۪ٓي اِسْرَٓائ۪لَ اَنّ۪ي قَدْ جِئْتُكُمْ بِاٰيَةٍ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۙ اَنّ۪ٓي اَخْلُقُ لَكُمْ مِنَ الطّ۪ينِ كَهَيْـَٔةِ الطَّيْرِ فَاَنْفُخُ ف۪يهِ فَيَكُونُ طَيْراً بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِۚ وَاُبْرِئُ الْاَكْمَهَ وَالْاَبْرَصَ وَاُحْـيِ الْمَوْتٰى بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِۚ وَاُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا تَأْكُلُونَ وَمَا تَدَّخِرُونَۙ ف۪ي بُيُوتِكُمْۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَاٰيَةً لَكُمْ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَۚ Warasoolan ila banee isra-eelaannee qad ji/tukum bi-ayatin min rabbikum annee akhluqulakum mina atteeni kahay-ati attayrifaanfukhu feehi fayakoonu tayran bi-ithni Allahiwaobri-o al-akmaha wal-abrasa waohyeealmawta bi-ithni Allahi waonabbi-okum bimata/kuloona wama taddakhiroona fee buyootikum inna fee thalikalaayatan lakum in kuntum mu/mineen And as a messenger to the children of Israel: “I have come to you with a proof from your Lord, that I create for you from clay the likeness of a bird; then I blow into it and it becomes a bird by the leave of God. And I heal the blind, and the leper, and give life to the dead by the leave of God. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 73 - **Form in this verse:** رَبِّكُمْ ۗ — rabbikum · "your Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَلَا تُؤْمِنُٓوا اِلَّا لِمَنْ تَبِـعَ د۪ينَكُمْۜ قُلْ اِنَّ الْهُدٰى هُدَى اللّٰهِۙ اَنْ يُؤْتٰٓى اَحَدٌ مِثْلَ مَٓا اُو۫ت۪يتُمْ اَوْ يُحَٓاجُّوكُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْۜ قُلْ اِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِۚ يُؤْت۪يهِ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَل۪يمٌۚ Wala tu/minoo illa limantabiAAa deenakum qul inna alhuda huda Allahian yu/ta ahadun mithla ma ooteetum aw yuhajjookumAAinda rabbikum qul inna alfadla biyadi Allahiyu/teehi man yashao wallahu wasiAAunAAaleem “And believe not save him who follows your doctrine.” Say thou: “Guidance is the guidance of God, that one be given the like of what you have been given.” Or would they argue with you before your Lord? Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 79 - **Form in this verse:** رَبَّـٰنِيِّـۧنَ — rabbāniyyīna · "worshippers of the Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · accusative case مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ اَنْ يُؤْتِيَهُ اللّٰهُ الْكِتَابَ وَالْحُكْمَ وَالنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا عِبَاداً ل۪ي مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ وَلٰكِنْ كُونُوا رَبَّانِيّ۪نَ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ الْكِتَابَ وَبِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَۙ Ma kana libasharin anyu/tiyahu Allahu alkitaba walhukmawannubuwwata thumma yaqoola linnasikoonoo AAibadan lee min dooni Allahi walakinkoonoo rabbaniyyeena bima kuntum tuAAallimoonaalkitaba wabima kuntum tadrusoon It is not for a mortal that God should give him the Writ and judgment and prophethood, then he should say to men: “Be servants to me rather than God”; but: “Be men of God by what you have taught of the Writ, and by what you have studied.” _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-79.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 84 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّهِمْ — rabbihim · "their Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case قُلْ اٰمَنَّا بِاللّٰهِ وَمَٓا اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَمَٓا اُنْزِلَ عَلٰٓى اِبْرٰه۪يمَ وَاِسْمٰع۪يلَ وَاِسْحٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْاَسْبَاطِ وَمَٓا اُو۫تِيَ مُوسٰى وَع۪يسٰى وَالنَّبِيُّونَ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْۖ لَا نُفَرِّقُ بَيْنَ اَحَدٍ مِنْهُمْۘ وَنَحْنُ لَهُ مُسْلِمُونَ Qul amanna billahiwama onzila AAalayna wama onzila AAalaibraheema wa-ismaAAeela wa-ishaqawayaAAqooba wal-asbati wama ootiya moosawaAAeesa wannabiyyoona min rabbihim lanufarriqu bayna ahadin minhum wanahnu lahumuslimoon Say thou: “We believe in God, and what has been sent down upon us, and what was sent down upon Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, and Jacob and the Grandsons; and what was given to Moses and Jesus and the prophets from their Lord. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 146 - **Form in this verse:** رِبِّيُّونَ — ribbiyyūna · "(were) religious scholars" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · nominative case وَكَاَيِّنْ مِنْ نَبِيٍّ قَاتَلَۙ مَعَهُ رِبِّيُّونَ كَث۪يرٌۚ فَمَا وَهَنُوا لِمَٓا اَصَابَهُمْ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا ضَعُفُوا وَمَا اسْتَكَانُواۜ وَاللّٰهُ يُحِبُّ الصَّابِر۪ينَ Wakaayyin min nabiyyin qatalamaAAahu ribbiyyoona katheerun fama wahanoo lima asabahumfee sabeeli Allahi wama daAAufoo wamaistakanoo wallahu yuhibbu assabireen And alongside how many a prophet have fought many stoutly devout men! Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 195 - **Form in this verse:** رَبُّهُمْ — rabbuhum · "their Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ اَنّ۪ي لَٓا اُض۪يعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ اَوْ اُنْثٰىۚ بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍۚ فَالَّذ۪ينَ هَاجَرُوا وَاُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَاُو۫ذُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يل۪ي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لَاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَاُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُۚ ثَوَاباً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ وَاللّٰهُ عِنْدَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ Fastajaba lahum rabbuhumannee la odeeAAu AAamala AAamilin minkum minthakarin aw ontha baAAdukum min baAAdinfallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihimwaoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloolaokaffiranna AAanhum sayyi-atihim walaodkhilannahum jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu thawabanmin AAindi Allahi wallahu AAindahu husnuaththawab And their Lord responded to them: “I cause not to be lost the work of any that works among you, male or female; you are of one another.” And those who emigrated and were turned out of their homes, and were hindered in My cause, and fought and were killed: I will remove from them their evil deeds, and I will make them enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from God; and God, with Him is the best of rewards. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-195.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 199 - **Form in this verse:** رَبِّهِمْ ۗ — rabbihim · "their Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَاِنَّ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَمَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَمَٓا اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْكُمْ وَمَٓا اُنْزِلَ اِلَيْهِمْ خَاشِع۪ينَ لِلّٰهِۙ لَا يَشْتَرُونَ بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ ثَمَناً قَل۪يلاًۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ اَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَر۪يعُ الْحِسَابِ Wa-inna min ahli alkitabi lamanyu/minu billahi wama onzila ilaykum wamaonzila ilayhim khashiAAeena lillahi layashtaroona bi-ayati Allahi thamananqaleelan ola-ika lahum ajruhum AAinda rabbihim inna AllahasareeAAu alhisab And among the doctors of the Law are those who believe in God and what was sent down to you, and what was sent down to them: — humble towards God, they sell not the proofs of God at a cheap price — those have their reward with their Lord; God is swift in reckoning. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-199.md_ ### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 23 - **Form in this verse:** وَرَبَـٰٓئِبُكُمُ — warabāibukumu · "and your step daughters" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · nominative case حُرِّمَتْ عَلَيْكُمْ اُمَّهَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُكُمْ وَاَخَوَاتُكُمْ وَعَمَّاتُكُمْ وَخَالَاتُكُمْ وَبَنَاتُ الْاَخِ وَبَنَاتُ الْاُخْتِ وَاُمَّهَاتُكُمُ الّٰت۪ٓي اَرْضَعْنَكُمْ وَاَخَوَاتُكُمْ مِنَ الرَّضَاعَةِ وَاُمَّهَاتُ نِسَٓائِكُمْ وَرَبَٓائِبُكُمُ الّٰت۪ي ف۪ي حُجُورِكُمْ مِنْ نِسَٓائِكُمُ الّٰت۪ي دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّۘ فَاِنْ لَمْ تَكُونُوا دَخَلْتُمْ بِهِنَّ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْۘ وَحَلَٓائِلُ اَبْنَٓائِكُمُ الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ اَصْلَابِكُمْۙ وَاَنْ تَجْمَعُوا بَيْنَ الْاُخْتَيْنِ اِلَّا مَا قَدْ سَلَفَۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ غَفُوراً رَح۪يماًۙ Hurrimat AAalaykum ommahatukumwabanatukum waakhawatukum waAAammatukum wakhalatukumwabanatu al-akhi wabanatu al-okhti waommahatukumuallatee ardaAAnakum waakhawatukum mina arradaAAatiwaommahatu nisa-ikum waraba-ibukumu allateefee hujoorikum min nisa-ikumu allateedakhaltum bihinna fa-in lam takoonoo dakhaltum bihinna falajunaha AAalaykum wahala-ilu abna-ikumuallatheena min aslabikum waan tajmaAAoobayna al-okhtayni illa ma qad salafa inna Allahakana ghafooran raheema Forbidden to you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your paternal aunts, and your maternal aunts, and the daughters of your brother, and the daughters of your sister, and your milk-mothers, and your milk-sisters, and the mothers of your wives, and your step-daughters under your protection from your wives unto whom you have gone in (and if you have gone not in unto them, then there is no wrong upon you) and the wives of your sons of your loins, and that you bring two sisters together, save what is past; God is forgiving and merciful; _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-23.md_ ### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 75 - **Form in this verse:** رَبَّنَآ — rabbanā · "Our Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case وَمَا لَكُمْ لَا تُقَاتِلُونَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَالْمُسْتَضْعَف۪ينَ مِنَ الرِّجَالِ وَالنِّسَٓاءِ وَالْوِلْدَانِ الَّذ۪ينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَٓا اَخْرِجْنَا مِنْ هٰذِهِ الْقَرْيَةِ الظَّالِمِ اَهْلُهَاۚ وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ وَلِياًّۚ وَاجْعَلْ لَنَا مِنْ لَدُنْكَ نَص۪يراًۜ Wama lakum la tuqatiloonafee sabeeli Allahi walmustadAAafeena mina arrijaliwannisa-i walwildani allatheenayaqooloona rabbana akhrijna min hathihialqaryati aththalimi ahluhawajAAal lana min ladunka waliyyan wajAAallana min ladunka naseera And why should you not fight in the cause of God, and of the oppressed among the men, and the women, and the children who say: “Our Lord: take Thou us out of this city whose people are wrongdoers; and give Thou us from Thyself an ally; and give Thou us from Thyself a helper”? _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-75.md_ ### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 77 - **Form in this verse:** رَبَّنَا — rabbanā · "Our Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّٓوا اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَق۪يمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَۚ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ اِذَا فَر۪يقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَشَدَّ خَشْيَةًۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَۚ لَوْلَٓا اَخَّرْتَنَٓا اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ قَر۪يبٍۜ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَل۪يلٌۚ وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقٰى وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَت۪يلاً Alam tara ila allatheena qeelalahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo assalatawaatoo azzakata falamma kutibaAAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawnaannasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashaddakhashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalaynaalqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalinqareebin qul mataAAu addunya qaleelun wal-akhiratukhayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoonafateela Hast thou not considered those to whom it was said: “Restrain your hands; and uphold the duty, and render the purity,” but when fighting is prescribed for them, then a faction among them fears men like the fear of God, or a stronger fear? And they said: “Our Lord: why hast Thou prescribed fighting for us? Oh, that Thou wouldst but delay us a little while!” Say thou: “Little is the enjoyment of the World”; and the Hereafter is better for him who is in prudent fear; and you will not be wronged a hair upon a date-stone. _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-77.md_ ### 4. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 2 - **Form in this verse:** رَّبِّهِمْ — rabbihim · "their Lord" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا لَا تُحِلُّوا شَعَٓائِرَ اللّٰهِ وَلَا الشَّهْرَ الْحَرَامَ وَلَا الْهَدْيَ وَلَا الْقَلَٓائِدَ وَلَٓا آٰمّ۪ينَ الْبَيْتَ الْحَرَامَ يَبْتَغُونَ فَضْلاً مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ وَرِضْوَاناًۜ وَاِذَا حَلَلْتُمْ فَاصْطَادُواۜ وَلَا يَجْرِمَنَّكُمْ شَنَاٰنُ قَوْمٍ اَنْ صَدُّوكُمْ عَنِ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ اَنْ تَعْتَدُواۢ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوٰىۖ وَلَا تَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْاِثْمِ وَالْعُدْوَانِۖ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ شَد۪يدُ الْعِقَابِ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tuhilloo shaAAa-ira Allahi walaashshahra alharama wala alhadya walaalqala-ida wala ammeena albayta alharamayabtaghoona fadlan min rabbihim waridwananwa-itha halaltum fastadoo walayajrimannakum shanaanu qawmin an saddookum AAanialmasjidi alharami an taAAtadoo wataAAawanooAAala albirri wattaqwa wala taAAawanooAAala al-ithmi walAAudwani wattaqooAllaha inna Allaha shadeedu alAAiqab O you who heed warning: violate not the tokens of God, nor the inviolable month, nor the offering, nor the necklaces, nor the visitors to the inviolable house seeking the favour of their Lord and approval. And when you are permitted, then you may hunt. And let not hatred of a people who turned you away from the inviolable place of worship move you to commit injustice. And assist one another to virtue and prudent fear; and assist not one another in sin and enmity.
