Fa-itha qadaytum manasikakumfathkuroo Allaha kathikrikum abaakumaw ashadda thikran famina annasi manyaqoolu rabbana atina fee addunyawama lahu fee al-akhirati min khalaq

And when you have concluded your rites, remember God like your remembrance of your fathers, or with stronger remembrance. And among men is he who says: “Our Lord: give Thou to us in the World,” and he has no portion in the Hereafter.

Look they save for God to come to them in shadows of the clouds, and the angels? But the matter is concluded, and to God are matters returned.

She said: “My Lord: how will I have a son when no mortal has touched me?” He said: “Thus is God; he creates what He wills; when He decrees a matter, He but says to it: ‘Be thou,’ and it is.

But no, by thy Lord, they do not believe until they make thee judge in what arises between them, then find in their souls no distress at what thou decidest, and submit fully!

### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 103

Fa-itha qadaytumu assalatafathkuroo Allaha qiyaman waquAAoodanwaAAala junoobikum fa-itha itma/nantumfaaqeemoo assalata inna assalatakanat AAala almu/mineena kitaban mawqoota

And when you have concluded the duty, remember God standing, and sitting, and upon your sides, and when you are at ease; but uphold the duty — the duty is upon the believers a time-limited Writ —

And they say: “Oh, that an angel had but been sent down upon him!” But had We sent down an angel, the matter would have been concluded; then would they not have been reprieved.

Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbillayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum binnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloon

And He it is that takes you at night, and knows what you earned by day; then He raises you up therein that there be fulfilled a stated term; then to Him will be your return; then will He inform you of what you did.

### 8. Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 42

اِذْ اَنْتُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ بِالْعُدْوَةِ الْقُصْوٰى وَالرَّكْبُ اَسْفَلَ مِنْكُمْۜ وَلَوْ تَوَاعَدْتُمْ لَاخْتَلَفْتُمْ فِي الْم۪يعَادِۙ وَلٰكِنْ لِيَقْضِيَ اللّٰهُ اَمْراً كَانَ مَفْعُولاًۙ لِيَهْلِكَ مَنْ هَلَكَ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍ وَيَحْيٰى مَنْ حَيَّ عَنْ بَيِّنَةٍۜ وَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَسَم۪يعٌ عَل۪يمٌۙ

Ith antum bilAAudwati addunyawahum bilAAudwati alquswa warrakbuasfala minkum walaw tawaAAadtum lakhtalaftum feealmeeAAadi walakin liyaqdiya Allahuamran kana mafAAoolan liyahlika man halaka AAan bayyinatinwayahya man hayya AAan bayyinatin wa-innaAllaha lasameeAAun AAaleem

When you were on the near bank, and they were on the far bank, and the caravan was lower than you. And had you agreed to meet, you would have failed in the appointment. But that God might conclude a matter that was done: — that there might perish he who perished upon clear evidence, and that there might live he who lived upon clear evidence; and God is hearing and knowing.

### 8. Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 44

Wa-ith yureekumoohum ithiiltaqaytum fee aAAyunikum qaleelan wayuqallilukum fee aAAyunihimliyaqdiya Allahu amran kana mafAAoolan wa-ilaAllahi turjaAAu al-omoor

And when He showed them, when you met, in your eyes as few, and lessened you in their eyes, that God might conclude a matter that was done; and to God are matters returned.

### 10. Surah Yunus, Verse 11

Walaw yuAAajjilu Allahu linnasiashsharra istiAAjalahum bilkhayri laqudiyailayhim ajaluhum fanatharu allatheena layarjoona liqaana fee tughyanihimyaAAmahoon

And were God to hasten for men the ill as they would hasten the good, their term would have been concluded for them. But We leave those who look not for the meeting with Us, wandering blindly in their inordinacy.

And mankind was only one community, then they differed; and were it not for a word that preceded from thy Lord, it would have been concluded between them concerning that wherein they differ.

And for every community is a messenger; then when their messenger comes, it will be concluded between them with equity, and they will not be wronged.

Walaw anna likulli nafsin thalamatma fee al-ardi laftadat bihi waasarroo annadamatalamma raawoo alAAathaba waqudiya baynahum bilqistiwahum la yuthlamoon

And were there for each soul that did wrong all that is in the earth, it would seek to ransom itself thereby; and they cannot express the remorse when they see the punishment, and it is concluded between them with equity; and they will not be wronged.

Watlu AAalayhim nabaa noohinith qala liqawmihi ya qawmi in kanakabura AAalaykum maqamee watathkeeree bi-ayatiAllahi faAAala Allahi tawakkaltu faajmiAAooamrakum washurakaakum thumma la yakun amrukumAAalaykum ghummatan thumma iqdoo ilayya wala tunthiroon

And recite thou to them the report of Noah, when he said to his people: “O my people: if my presence and my reminding you of the proofs of God be grievous to you, then in God have I placed my trust; so resolve upon your plan and your partners; then let not your plan be unclear to you; then move decisively against me, and grant me no respite.

Walaqad bawwa/na banee isra-eelamubawwaa sidqin warazaqnahum mina attayyibatifama ikhtalafoo hatta jaahumualAAilmu inna rabbaka yaqdee baynahum yawma alqiyamatifeema kanoo feehi yakhtalifoon

And We settled the children of Israel in a goodly settlement, and provided them with good things; and they differed not until knowledge came to them. Thy Lord will judge between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differed.

### 11. Surah Hud, Verse 44

Waqeela ya ardu iblaAAee maakiwaya samao aqliAAee wagheeda almaowaqudiya al-amru wastawat AAala aljoodiyyiwaqeela buAAdan lilqawmi aththalimeen

And it was said: “O earth: swallow thou thy water,” and: “O sky: desist thou,” and the water subsided and the matter was concluded. And it came to rest upon Al-Jūdī. And it was said: “Away with the wrongdoing people!”

Walaqad atayna moosaalkitaba fakhtulifa feehi walawla kalimatunsabaqat min rabbika laqudiya baynahum wa-innahum lafeeshakkin minhu mureeb

And We gave Moses the Writ; then were there differences concerning it. And were it not for a word that preceded from thy Lord, it would have been decided between them; and they are in sceptical doubt concerning it.

Ya sahibayi assijniamma ahadukuma fayasqee rabbahu khamranwaamma al-akharu fayuslabu fata/kulu attayrumin ra/sihi qudiya al-amru allathee feehi tastaftiyan

“O my two prison companions: as for one of you: he will pour for his lord wine; and as for the other: he will be crucified, and the birds will eat from his head. Decided is the matter about which you sought opinion.”

Walamma dakhaloo min haythuamarahum aboohum ma kana yughnee AAanhum mina Allahimin shay-in illa hajatan fee nafsi yaAAqooba qadahawa-innahu lathoo AAilmin lima AAallamnahuwalakinna akthara annasi layaAAlamoon

And when they entered in what manner their father had commanded them, it availed them nothing against God; it was but a need in the soul of Jacob which he satisfied. And he was a man of knowledge due to what We had taught him; but most men know not.

وَقَالَ الشَّيْطَانُ لَمَّا قُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ وَعَدَكُمْ وَعْدَ الْحَقِّ وَوَعَدْتُكُمْ فَاَخْلَفْتُكُمْۜ وَمَا كَانَ لِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ سُلْطَانٍ اِلَّٓا اَنْ دَعَوْتُكُمْ فَاسْتَجَبْتُمْ ل۪يۚ فَلَا تَلُومُون۪ي وَلُومُٓوا اَنْفُسَكُمْۜ مَٓا اَنَا۬ بِمُصْرِخِكُمْ وَمَٓا اَنْتُمْ بِمُصْرِخِيَّۜ اِنّ۪ي كَفَرْتُ بِمَٓا اَشْرَكْتُمُونِ مِنْ قَبْلُۜ اِنَّ الظَّالِم۪ينَ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ اَل۪يمٌ

Waqala ashshaytanulamma qudiya al-amru inna Allaha waAAadakumwaAAda alhaqqi wawaAAadtukum faakhlaftukum wama kanaliya AAalaykum min sultanin illa an daAAawtukum fastajabtumlee fala taloomoonee waloomoo anfusakum ma anabimusrikhikum wama antum bimusrikhiyya inneekafartu bima ashraktumooni min qablu inna aththalimeenalahum AAathabun aleem

And the satan will say when the matter is concluded: “God promised you the promise of truth; and I promised you, but I betrayed you. And I had not over you any authority except to call you — and you responded to me; so blame not me, but blame yourselves. I cannot aid you, and you cannot aid me. I deny your ascribing to me a partnership before; the wrongdoers: for them is a painful punishment.”

And thy Lord has decreed that you serve not save Him; and towards parents good conduct. Whether one or both of them reaches old age with thee, say thou not: “Fie,” to them, nor repel thou them; but speak thou to them a noble word,

Wadakhala almadeenata AAala heenighaflatin min ahliha fawajada feeha rajulayniyaqtatilani hatha min sheeAAatihi wahathamin AAaduwwihi fastaghathahu allathee minsheeAAatihi AAala allathee min AAaduwwihifawakazahu moosa faqada AAalayhi qala hathamin AAamali ashshaytani innahu AAaduwwun mudillunmubeen

And he entered the city at a time of heedlessness among its people, and found therein two men fighting, one of his sect and the other of his enemy. And he who was of his sect sought aid of him against him who was of his enemy — then Moses struck him and put an end to him. He said: “This is of the work of the satan; he is a manifest, misleading enemy.”

### 28. Surah Al-Qasas, Verse 28

Falamma qada moosaal-ajala wasara bi-ahlihi anasa min janibi attoorinaran qala li-ahlihi omkuthoo innee anastu naranlaAAallee ateekum minha bikhabarin aw jathwatinmina annari laAAallakum tastaloon

Then when Moses had completed the term and was travelling with his family, he perceived from the side of the mount a fire. He said to his family: “Wait here; I have perceived a fire. I might bring you news from it, or a firebrand from the fire, that you might warm yourselves.”

Among the believers are men who are true to what they made in covenant with God, — among them is he who has fulfilled his vow, and among them is he who is waiting — and they have not changed in the least,

### 33. Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 36

Wama kana limu/minin walamu/minatin itha qada Allahu warasooluhuamran an yakoona lahumu alkhiyaratu min amrihim waman yaAAsiAllaha warasoolahu faqad dalla dalalanmubeena

And it is not for a believing man or a believing woman, when God and His messenger have decided on a matter, that there be for them a choice about their affair; and whoso disobeys God and His messenger: he has gone astray into manifest error.

Wa-ith taqoolu lillatheeanAAama Allahu AAalayhi waanAAamta AAalayhi amsik AAalaykazawjaka wattaqi Allaha watukhfee fee nafsika maAllahu mubdeehi watakhsha annasa wallahuahaqqu an takhshahu falamma qadazaydun minha wataran zawwajnakahalikay la yakoona AAala almu/mineena harajunfee azwaji adAAiya-ihim itha qadawminhunna wataran wakana amru Allahi mafAAoola

And when thou saidst to him whom God has favoured, and whom thou hast favoured: “Hold thou thy wife to thee, and be thou in prudent fear of God,” and wast concealing in thyself what God reveals[...]. And thou fearedst men, when God has more right that thou fear Him. Then when Zayd had concluded any need of her, We gave her to thee in marriage, that there be not blame upon the believers concerning the wives of their adopted sons, when they have concluded any need of them. And the command of God is carried out.

### 34. Surah Saba, Verse 14

Falamma qadaynaAAalayhi almawta ma dallahum AAala mawtihi illadabbatu al-ardi ta/kulu minsaatahu falammakharra tabayyanati aljinnu an law kanoo yaAAlamoonaalghayba ma labithoo fee alAAathabi almuheen

And when We decreed death for him, there indicated his death to them only a creature of the earth eating at his staff. But when he fell down, it became clear to the domini that had they but known the Unseen, they would not have tarried in the humiliating punishment.

And those who ignore warning, they have the fire of Gehenna. Not decreed is it for them that they might die, and nor will its punishment be lightened for them. Thus reward We every ingrate.

### 39. Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 42

Allahu yatawaffa al-anfusa heenamawtiha wallatee lam tamut fee manamihafayumsiku allatee qada AAalayha almawta wayursilual-okhra ila ajalin musamman inna fee thalikalaayatin liqawmin yatafakkaroon

God takes the souls at the time of their death, and that which has not died, in its sleep. Then He keeps that for which He has ordained death, and sends down the other to a stated term. In that are proofs for people who reflect.

### 39. Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 69

And the earth will shine with the light of its Lord; and the Writ will be set up, and the prophets and the witnesses will be brought, and it will be concluded between them with justice, and they will not be wronged.

And thou wilt see the angels surrounding the Throne, glorifying with the praise of their Lord; and it will be decided between them with justice; and it will be said: “Praise belongs to God, the Lord of All Creation!”

Walaqad arsalna rusulan min qablikaminhum man qasasna AAalayka waminhum man lamnaqsus AAalayka wama kana lirasoolinan ya/tiya bi-ayatin illa bi-ithni Allahifa-itha jaa amru Allahi qudiya bilhaqqiwakhasira hunalika almubtiloon

And We have sent messengers before thee; among them are those We have related to thee, and among them are those We have not related to thee. And it was not for a messenger to bring a proof save by the leave of God. And when the command of God comes the matter will be decided in justice, and thereupon will the creators of vanity be lost.

### 41. Surah Fussilat, Verse 12

And He determined them — seven heavens in two days — and instructed each heaven in its command. And We adorned the lower heaven with lamps and as protection. That is the determination of the Exalted in Might, the Knowing.

### 41. Surah Fussilat, Verse 45

And We gave Moses the Writ, but it was disputed about. And were it not for a word that preceded from thy Lord, it would have been concluded between them; and they are in sceptical doubt concerning it.

And they became divided only after knowledge came to them, through sectarian zealotry between them. And were it not for a word that preceded from thy Lord to a stated term, it would have been concluded between them. And those who were caused to inherit the Writ after them are in sceptical doubt concerning it.

If they have partners which ordained for them of doctrine that for which God has not given leave[...]. And had it not been for the word of decision, it would have been concluded between them; and the wrongdoers have a painful punishment.

### 45. Surah Al-Jathiyah, Verse 17

And We gave them clear signs of the command; and they differed only after knowledge had come to them, through sectarian zealotry between them. Thy Lord will decide between them on the Day of Resurrection concerning that wherein they differed.

### 46. Surah Al-Ahqaf, Verse 29

And when We turned towards thee a band of the domini, listening in to the Qur’an, and when they were in its presence they said: “Listen attentively”; then, when it was concluded, they turned back to their people, warning.

### 62. Surah Al-Jumu'ah, Verse 10
