And the likeness of those who ignore warning is as the likeness of one who yells to what hears not save a call and a shout: deaf, dumb, blind, so they do not reason.

And the angels called to him as he stood performing the duty in the chamber: “God gives thee glad tidings of John, confirming a word from God, both honourable and chaste, and a prophet among the righteous.”

“Our Lord: we have heard a caller calling to faith: ‘Believe in your Lord!’ And we have believed. Our Lord: forgive Thou us our transgressions, and remove Thou from us our evil deeds; and take Thou us with the virtuous.

Fadallahuma bighuroorin falammathaqa ashshajarata badat lahuma saw-atuhumawatafiqa yakhsifani AAalayhimamin waraqi aljannati wanadahuma rabbuhumaalam anhakuma AAan tilkuma ashshajaratiwaaqul lakuma inna ashshaytana lakumaAAaduwwun mubeen

And he led them by delusion; then when they tasted of the tree, their shame was made manifest to them, and they began to draw over them of the leaves of the garden. And their Lord called to them: “Did I not forbid you that tree? And did I not say to you: ‘The satan is an open enemy to you’?”

WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihimmin ghillin tajree min tahtihimu al-anharu waqalooalhamdu lillahi allathee hadanalihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawlaan hadana Allahu laqad jaat rusulurabbina bilhaqqi wanoodoo an tilkumualjannatu oorithtumooha bima kuntum taAAmaloon

And We will remove any rancour from their hearts; there flow beneath them rivers; and they will say: “Praise belongs to God who has guided us to this! And we would not have been guided had not God guided us. The messengers of our Lord came with the truth.” And they will be called: “That is the Garden which you are made to inherit for what you did.”

Wanada as-habualjannati as-haba annari an qadwajadna ma waAAadana rabbuna haqqanfahal wajadtum ma waAAada rabbukum haqqan qaloonaAAam faaththana mu-aththinun baynahum an laAAnatuAllahi AAala aththalimeen

And the companions of the Garden will call to the companions of the Fire: “We have found what our Lord promised us true; have you found what your Lord promised you true?” They will say: “Yea.” Then will there proclaim a proclaimer between them: “The curse of God is upon the wrongdoers:

Wabaynahuma hijabunwaAAala al-aAArafi rijalun yaAArifoonakullan biseemahum wanadaw as-habaaljannati an salamun AAalaykum lam yadkhuloohawahum yatmaAAoon

And between them is a partition; and upon the elevations are men recognising each by their mark; and they will call to the companions of the Garden: “Peace be upon you!” They have not entered it, though they desire to.

And the companions of the elevations will call to men, recognising them by their mark, saying: “What did it avail you, your accumulating, and that you waxed proud?

Wanada as-habu anarias-haba aljannati an afeedoo AAalaynamina alma-i aw mimma razaqakumu Allahu qalooinna Allaha harramahuma AAala alkafireen

And the companions of the Fire will call to the companions of the Garden: “Pour forth upon us some water, or some of what God has provided for you.” They will say: “God has made both unlawful to the false claimers of guidance:

### 11. Surah Hud, Verse 42

Wahiya tajree bihim fee mawjin kaljibaliwanada noohunu ibnahu wakana feemaAAzilin ya bunayya irkab maAAana walatakun maAAa alkafireen

And it sailed with them amid waves like mountains; and Noah called to his son: — and he was set apart — “O my son: embark thou with us, and be thou not with the false claimers of guidance.”

And Noah called to his Lord, and said: “My Lord: my son was of my household — and Thy promise is the truth; and Thou art the most just of judges.”

And the day He says: “Call My partners whom you claimed,” then they will call them, but they will not respond to them; and We will make between them a place of ruin.

And when Our proofs are recited to them as clear signs, those who ignore warning say to those who heed warning: “Which of the two factions is better in standing and better in assembly?”

And Dhūl-Nūn: when he left in wrath, and thought that We would have no power over him; then he called in the darkness: “There is no god save Thou. Glory be to Thee! I have been among the wrongdoers!”

فَلَمَّٓا اَتٰيهَا نُودِيَ مِنْ شَاطِئِ الْوَادِ الْاَيْمَنِ فِي الْبُقْعَةِ الْمُبَارَكَةِ مِنَ الشَّجَرَةِ اَنْ يَا مُوسٰٓى اِنّ۪ٓي اَنَا اللّٰهُ رَبُّ الْعَالَم۪ينَۙ

Falamma ataha noodiyamin shati-i alwadi al-aymani fee albuqAAati almubarakatimina ashshajarati an ya moosa innee anaAllahu rabbu alAAalameen

Then when he came to it, he was called from the right side of the valley — at the blessed site — from the tree: “O Moses: I am God, the Lord of All Creation.

And had We made it a recitation in a foreign tongue, they would have said: “Oh, that its proofs were but set out and detailed — a foreign tongue and an Arab!” Say thou: “It is for those who heed warning a guidance and a healing”; but those who do not believe: in their ears is deafness, and it is for them blindness; those: they are called from a far place.

To Him is referred knowledge of the Hour. And no fruits come forth from their sheaths and no female bears or gives birth save with His knowledge. And the day He calls them: — “Where are My partners?” — they will say: “We proclaim to Thee, there is not among us any witness.”

They will cry to them: “Were we not with you?” They will say: “Verily, but you subjected your souls to means of denial, and you waited, and you doubted, and vain desires deluded you, until the command of God came; and the Deluder deluded you concerning God,

O you who heed warning: when the call is heard for the duty of the day of assembly, then hasten to the remembrance of God, and leave commerce; that is better for you, if you but knew.
