Allathee jaAAala lakumu al-ardafirashan wassamaa binaan waanzalamina assama-i maan faakhraja bihi mina aththamaratirizqan lakum fala tajAAaloo lillahi andadanwaantum taAAlamoon

Who made the earth for you a couch, and the sky a structure, and sent down from the sky water, then brought forth thereby fruits as provision for you; so make not equals to God when you know.

وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَنْ يَتَّخِذُ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِ اَنْدَاداً يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ اللّٰهِۜ وَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اَشَدُّ حُباًّ لِلّٰهِۜ وَلَوْ يَرَى الَّذ۪ينَ ظَلَمُٓوا اِذْ يَرَوْنَ الْعَذَابَۙ اَنَّ الْقُوَّةَ لِلّٰهِ جَم۪يعاًۙ وَاَنَّ اللّٰهَ شَد۪يدُ الْعَذَابِ

Wamina annasi man yattakhithumin dooni Allahi andadan yuhibboonahum kahubbiAllahi wallatheena amanoo ashaddu hubbanlillahi walaw yara allatheena thalamooith yarawna alAAathaba anna alquwwata lillahijameeAAan waanna Allaha shadeedu alAAathab

And among men is he who takes as equals other than God, loving them with a love like the love for God. But those who heed warning are stronger in love for God. And had those who do wrong seen when they will see the punishment — that power belongs to God altogether, and that God is the Severe in Punishment —

WajaAAaloo lillahi andadanliyudilloo AAan sabeelihi qul tamattaAAoo fa-inna maseerakumila annar

And they made equals to God, that they might lead astray from His path. Say thou: “Enjoy yourselves, for your journey’s end is the Fire.”

وَقَالَ الَّذ۪ينَ اسْتُضْعِفُوا لِلَّذ۪ينَ اسْتَكْبَرُوا بَلْ مَكْرُ الَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ اِذْ تَأْمُرُونَـنَٓا اَنْ نَكْفُرَ بِاللّٰهِ وَنَجْعَلَ لَهُٓ  اَنْدَاداًۜ وَاَسَرُّوا النَّدَامَةَ لَمَّا رَاَوُا الْعَذَابَۜ وَجَعَلْنَا الْاَغْلَالَ ف۪ٓي اَعْنَاقِ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُواۜ هَلْ يُجْزَوْنَ اِلَّا مَا كَانُوا يَعْمَلُونَ

Waqala allatheena istudAAifoolillatheena istakbaroo bal makru allayli wannahariith ta/muroonana an nakfura billahiwanajAAala lahu andadan waasarroo annadamatalamma raawoo alAAathaba wajaAAalna al-aghlalafee aAAnaqi allatheena kafaroo hal yujzawna illama kanoo yaAAmaloon

And those who were despised will say to those who had waxed proud: “Nay, it was your scheme night and day, when you commanded us to deny God and make equals to Him.” And they will whisper remorse when they see the punishment, and We place yokes on the necks of those who ignore warning. Will they be rewarded save for what they did?

### 39. Surah Az-Zumar, Verse 8

وَاِذَا مَسَّ الْاِنْسَانَ ضُرٌّ دَعَا رَبَّهُ مُن۪يباً اِلَيْهِ ثُمَّ اِذَا خَوَّلَهُ نِعْمَةً مِنْهُ نَسِيَ مَا كَانَ يَدْعُٓوا اِلَيْهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ وَجَعَلَ لِلّٰهِ اَنْدَاداً لِيُضِلَّ عَنْ سَب۪يلِه۪ۜ قُلْ تَمَتَّعْ بِكُفْرِكَ قَل۪يلاًۗ اِنَّكَ مِنْ اَصْحَابِ النَّارِ

Wa-itha massa al-insana durrundaAAa rabbahu muneeban ilayhi thumma ithakhawwalahu niAAmatan minhu nasiya ma kana yadAAooilayhi min qablu wajaAAala lillahi andadan liyudillaAAan sabeelihi qul tamattaAA bikufrika qaleelan innaka min as-habiannar

And when affliction touches man, he calls to his Lord, turning to Him; then when He confers upon him favour from Him, he forgets that for which he called to Him before, and makes equals to God, to lead astray from His path. Say thou: “Enjoy thou thy denial a little — thou art of the companions of the Fire.”

Qul a-innakum latakfuroona billatheekhalaqa al-arda fee yawmayni watajAAaloona lahu andadanthalika rabbu alAAalameen

Say thou: “Do you deny Him who created the earth in two days, and make equals to Him?” That is the Lord of All Creation,
