And they say: “None will enter the Garden save such as hold to Judaism, or are Christians.” Those are their vain desires. Say thou: “Bring your evidence, if you be truthful.”

Wala tatamannaw ma faddalaAllahu bihi baAAdakum AAala baAAdinlirrijali naseebun mimma iktasaboowalinnisa-i naseebun mimma iktasabnawas-aloo Allaha min fadlihi inna Allahakana bikulli shay-in AAaleema

And covet not that wherein God has favoured some of you over others. For men is a share of what they have earned, and for women is a share of what they have earned. And ask God of His bounty; God is knower of all things.

Walaodillannahum walaomanniyannahumwalaamurannahum falayubattikunna athana al-anAAamiwalaamurannahum falayughayyirunna khalqa Allahiwaman yattakhithi ashshaytana waliyyan mindooni Allahi faqad khasira khusranan mubeena

And: “I will lead them astray”; and: “I will arouse desires in them”; and: “I will command them and they will slit the ears of cattle”; and: “I will command them and they will change the creation of God.” And whoso takes the satan for ally instead of God, he has suffered clear loss.

It is not according to your vain desires, nor the vain desires of the doctors of the Law; whoso does evil has the recompense thereof and will not find, besides God, ally or helper.

### 22. Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 52

Wama arsalna min qablika minrasoolin wala nabiyyin illa itha tamannaalqa ashshaytanu fee omniyyatihi fayansakhuAllahu ma yulqee ashshaytanu thummayuhkimu Allahu ayatihi wallahuAAaleemun hakeem

And We sent not before thee any messenger or prophet save that when he desired the satan cast into his desire. But God abolishes what the satan casts; then God makes firm His proofs, — and God is knowing and wise —

Waasbaha allatheenatamannaw makanahu bil-amsi yaqooloona waykaannaAllaha yabsutu arrizqa liman yashaomin AAibadihi wayaqdiru lawla an manna AllahuAAalayna lakhasafa bina waykaannahu la yuflihualkafiroon

And morning found those who had desired his place the day before, saying: “Oh, how God expands and straitens the provision for whom He wills of His servants! Had God not been gracious to us, He would have caused it to swallow us. And oh, how the false claimers of guidance do not succeed!”)

Yunadoonahum alam nakun maAAakum qaloobala walakinnakum fatantum anfusakum watarabbastumwartabtum wagharratkumu al-amaniyyu hattajaa amru Allahi wagharrakum billahialgharoor

They will cry to them: “Were we not with you?” They will say: “Verily, but you subjected your souls to means of denial, and you waited, and you doubted, and vain desires deluded you, until the command of God came; and the Deluder deluded you concerning God,

Say thou: “O you who hold to Judaism: if you claim that you are the allies of God to the exclusion of other men, then wish for death, if you be truthful.”
