Yas-aloonaka matha ohilla lahumqul ohilla lakumu attayyibatu wamaAAallamtum mina aljawarihi mukallibeenatuAAallimoonahunna mimma AAallamakumu Allahufakuloo mimma amsakna AAalaykum wathkurooisma Allahi AAalayhi wattaqoo Allaha innaAllaha sareeAAu alhisab

They ask thee what is made lawful for them. Say thou: “Made lawful for you are good things; and what you have trained of animals of prey as trainers teaching them of what God taught you — eat of what they catch for you, and remember the name of God over it. And be in prudent fear of God; God is swift in reckoning.”

### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 45

وَكَتَبْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ ف۪يهَٓا اَنَّ النَّفْسَ بِالنَّفْسِۙ وَالْعَيْنَ بِالْعَيْنِ وَالْاَنْفَ بِالْاَنْفِ وَالْاُذُنَ بِالْاُذُنِ وَالسِّنَّ بِالسِّنِّۙ وَالْجُرُوحَ قِصَاصٌۜ فَمَنْ تَصَدَّقَ بِه۪ فَهُوَ كَفَّارَةٌ لَهُۜ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَحْكُمْ بِمَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الظَّالِمُونَ

Wakatabna AAalayhim feeha annaannafsa binnafsi walAAayna bilAAayniwal-anfa bil-anfi walothuna bilothuniwassinna bissinni waljurooha qisasunfaman tasaddaqa bihi fahuwa kaffaratun lahu wamanlam yahkum bima anzala Allahu faola-ikahumu aththalimoon

And We prescribed for them therein a life for a life, and an eye for an eye, and a nose for a nose, and an ear for an ear, and a tooth for a tooth, and for wounds just requital; but whoso forgives it by way of charity, it is an expiation for him. And whoso judges not by what God has sent down: it is they who are the wrongdoers.

### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 60

Wahuwa allathee yatawaffakumbillayli wayaAAlamu ma jarahtum binnaharithumma yabAAathukum feehi liyuqda ajalun musamman thummailayhi marjiAAukum thumma yunabbi-okum bima kuntumtaAAmaloon

And He it is that takes you at night, and knows what you earned by day; then He raises you up therein that there be fulfilled a stated term; then to Him will be your return; then will He inform you of what you did.

### 45. Surah Al-Jathiyah, Verse 21

اَمْ حَسِبَ الَّذ۪ينَ اجْتَرَحُوا السَّيِّـَٔاتِ اَنْ نَجْعَلَهُمْ كَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِۙ سَوَٓاءً مَحْيَاهُمْ وَمَمَاتُهُمْۜ سَٓاءَ مَا يَحْكُمُونَ۟

Am hasiba allatheena ijtarahooassayyi-ati an najAAalahum kallatheenaamanoo waAAamiloo assalihati sawaanmahyahum wamamatuhum saa ma yahkumoon

If those who commit evil deeds think that We will make them like those who heed warning and do righteous deeds: — the same in their living and their dying — evil is what they judge.
