But virtue is: one who believes in God, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Writ, and the prophets, and gives wealth in spite of love of it to relatives, and the fatherless, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to manumit slaves; and who upholds the duty, and renders the purity; and those who keep their covenant when they make a covenant; and the patient in affliction and adversity, and during conflict: those are they who are sincere; and it is they who are those of prudent fear. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-177.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Kahf, Verse 17 - **Form in this verse:** غَرَبَت — gharabat · "it set" - **Grammar:** verb · 3rd person, feminine, singular · past tense وَتَرَى الشَّمْسَ اِذَا طَلَعَتْ تَزَاوَرُ عَنْ كَهْفِهِمْ ذَاتَ الْيَم۪ينِ وَاِذَا غَرَبَتْ تَقْرِضُهُمْ ذَاتَ الشِّمَالِ وَهُمْ ف۪ي فَجْوَةٍ مِنْهُۜ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ اٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِۜ مَنْ يَهْدِ اللّٰهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُ وَلِياًّ مُرْشِداً۟ Watara ashshamsa itha talaAAattazawaru AAan kahfihim thata alyameeni wa-ithagharabat taqriduhum thata ashshimaliwahum fee fajwatin minhu thalika min ayatiAllahi man yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadi waman yudlilfalan tajida lahu waliyyan murshida (And thou seest the sun: when it rises it inclines away from their cave to the right; and when it sets, it passes away from them on the left — and they in the opening thereof! Surah An-Nur, Verse 35 - **Form in this verse:** غَرْبِيَّةٍۢ — gharbiyyatin · "(of the) west" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine · genitive case · indefinite اَللّٰهُ نُورُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ مَثَلُ نُورِه۪ كَمِشْكٰوةٍ ف۪يهَا مِصْبَاحٌۜ اَلْمِصْبَاحُ ف۪ي زُجَاجَةٍۜ اَلزُّجَاجَةُ كَاَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّيٌّ يُوقَدُ مِنْ شَجَرَةٍ مُبَارَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍۙ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُض۪ٓيءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌۜ نُورٌ عَلٰى نُورٍۜ يَهْدِي اللّٰهُ لِنُورِه۪ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَيَضْرِبُ اللّٰهُ الْاَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌۙ Allahu nooru assamawatiwal-ardi mathalu noorihi kamishkatin feehamisbahun almisbahu fee zujajatinazzujajatu kaannaha kawkabun durriyyunyooqadu min shajaratin mubarakatin zaytoonatin lasharqiyyatin wala gharbiyyatin yakadu zaytuhayudee-o walaw lam tamsas-hu narun noorun AAalanoorin yahdee Allahu linoorihi man yashao wayadribuAllahu al-amthala linnasi wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem God is the light of the heavens and the earth. The likeness of His light is as a niche wherein is a lamp — the lamp in a glass, the glass as it were a shining star — lit from a blessed tree, an olive neither of East nor West; its oil would nigh illuminate, though no fire touched it: — light upon light! — God guides to His light whom He wills!
