  - **Grammar:** verb · 3rd person, masculine, singular · past tense

يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا لَا تَتَوَلَّوْا قَوْماً غَضِبَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِمْ قَدْ يَـئِسُوا مِنَ الْاٰخِرَةِ كَمَا يَـئِسَ الْكُفَّارُ مِنْ اَصْحَابِ الْقُبُورِ

Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola tatawallaw qawman ghadiba AllahuAAalayhim qad ya-isoo mina al-akhirati kama ya-isaalkuffaru min as-habi alquboor

O you who heed warning: take not as allies people with whom God is wroth; they have despaired of the Hereafter as the atheists have despaired of the companions of the graves.
