اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّٓوا اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَق۪يمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَۚ  فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ اِذَا فَر۪يقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَشَدَّ خَشْيَةًۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَۚ  لَوْلَٓا اَخَّرْتَنَٓا اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ قَر۪يبٍۜ  قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَل۪يلٌۚ وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقٰى وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَت۪يلاً

Alam tara ila allatheena qeelalahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo assalatawaatoo azzakata falamma kutibaAAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawnaannasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashaddakhashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalaynaalqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalinqareebin qul mataAAu addunya qaleelun wal-akhiratukhayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoonafateela

Hast thou not considered those to whom it was said: “Restrain your hands; and uphold the duty, and render the purity,” but when fighting is prescribed for them, then a faction among them fears men like the fear of God, or a stronger fear? And they said: “Our Lord: why hast Thou prescribed fighting for us? Oh, that Thou wouldst but delay us a little while!” Say thou: “Little is the enjoyment of the World”; and the Hereafter is better for him who is in prudent fear; and you will not be wronged a hair upon a date-stone.

### 17. Surah Al-Isra, Verse 71

يَوْمَ نَدْعُوا كُلَّ اُنَاسٍ بِاِمَامِهِمْۚ فَمَنْ اُو۫تِيَ كِتَابَهُ بِيَم۪ينِه۪ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ يَقْرَؤُ۫نَ كِتَابَهُمْ وَلَا يُظْلَمُونَ فَت۪يلاً

Yawma nadAAoo kulla onasin bi-imamihimfaman ootiya kitabahu biyameenihi faola-ikayaqraoona kitabahum wala yuthlamoonafateela

The day We call each people with their record, then whoso is given his writ in his right hand, those will read their writ, and they will not be wronged a hair upon a date-stone.
