Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeetha

Wherever you be, death will overtake you, though you be in castles built high. And if good befalls them, they say: “This is from God”; and if evil befalls them, they say: “This is from thee.” Say thou: “All is from God.” Then what ails these people that they scarcely understand a statement?

Waman yuhajir fee sabeeli Allahiyajid fee al-ardi muraghaman katheeran wasaAAatanwaman yakhruj min baytihi muhajiran ila Allahiwarasoolihi thumma yudrik-hu almawtu faqad waqaAAa ajruhu AAalaAllahi wakana Allahu ghafooran raheema

And whoso emigrates in the cause of God will find in the earth much refuge and abundance; and whoso leaves his house as an émigré to God and His messenger, then death overtakes him: his reward is upon God; and God is forgiving and merciful.

Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalatmin qablikum mina aljinni wal-insi fee annarikullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hattaitha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalatokhrahum li-oolahum rabbana haola-iadalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfanmina annari qala likullin diAAfunwalakin la taAAlamoon

He will say: “Enter among the communities that have passed away before you of domini and servi into the Fire!” Whenever a community enters, it curses its sister; when they have followed one another therein all together, the last of them will say to the first of them: “Our Lord: these led us astray; so give Thou them double punishment of the Fire!” He will say: “For each is double, but you know not.”

Wajawazna bibanee isra-eelaalbahra faatbaAAahum firAAawnu wajunooduhu baghyanwaAAadwan hatta itha adrakahu algharaqu qalaamantu annahu la ilaha illa allatheeamanat bihi banoo isra-eela waana minaalmuslimeen

And We brought the children of Israel across the sea; and Pharaoh followed them with his forces in sectarian zealotry and enmity. When the drowning had overtaken him, he said: “I believe there is no god save He in whom the children of Israel believe; and I am of those submitting.”

And We instructed Moses: “Travel thou by night with My servants; and strike thou for them a dry path in the sea, neither fearing overtaking nor being afraid.”

### 26. Surah Ash-Shu'ara, Verse 61

The truth is, their knowledge fails concerning the Hereafter. The truth is, they are in doubt about it. The truth is, they are blind to it.

### 36. Surah Ya-Sin, Verse 40

It behoves not the sun to reach the moon, nor does the night outstrip the day; and each is in a circuit swimming.

### 68. Surah Al-Qalam, Verse 49

Lawla an tadarakahu niAAmatunmin rabbihi lanubitha bilAAara-i wahuwa mathmoom

Had not favour from his Lord overtaken him, he would have been cast on the bare shore when he was condemned.
