Fahazamoohum bi-ithni Allahiwaqatala dawoodu jaloota waatahu Allahualmulka walhikmata waAAallamahu mimma yashaowalawla dafAAu Allahi annasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lafasadati al-ardu walakinna Allahathoo fadlin AAala alAAalameen

And they defeated them by the leave of God. And David killed Goliath, and God gave him dominion and wisdom, and taught him of what He willed. And were God not to repel some people by means of others, the earth should have become corrupt; but God is bountiful to all mankind.

### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 167

WaliyaAAlama allatheena nafaqoowaqeela lahum taAAalaw qatiloo fee sabeeli Allahiawi idfaAAoo qaloo law naAAlamu qitalan lattabaAAnakumhum lilkufri yawma-ithin aqrabu minhum lil-eemaniyaqooloona bi-afwahihim ma laysa fee quloobihim wallahuaAAlamu bima yaktumoon

And that He might know the waverers. And it was said to them: “Come, fight in the cause of God; or repel.” They said: “Had we known of fighting, we would have followed you.” They were nearer to denial that day than to faith, saying with their mouths what was not in their hearts; and God is most aware of what conceal

### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 6

وَابْتَلُوا الْيَتَامٰى حَتّٰٓى اِذَا بَلَغُوا النِّكَاحَۚ فَاِنْ اٰنَسْتُمْ مِنْهُمْ رُشْداً فَادْفَعُٓوا اِلَيْهِمْ اَمْوَالَهُمْۚ وَلَا تَأْكُلُوهَٓا اِسْرَافاً وَبِدَاراً اَنْ يَكْـبَرُواۜ وَمَنْ كَانَ غَنِياًّ فَلْيَسْتَعْفِفْۚ وَمَنْ كَانَ فَق۪يراً فَلْيَأْكُلْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِۜ فَاِذَا دَفَعْتُمْ اِلَيْهِمْ اَمْوَالَهُمْ فَاَشْهِدُوا عَلَيْهِمْۜ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ حَس۪يباً

Wabtaloo alyatama hattaitha balaghoo annikaha fa-in anastumminhum rushdan fadfaAAoo ilayhim amwalahum walata/kulooha israfan wabidaran an yakbaroowaman kana ghaniyyan falyastaAAfif waman kanafaqeeran falya/kul bilmaAAroofi fa-itha dafaAAtumilayhim amwalahum faashhidoo AAalayhim wakafa billahihaseeba

And test the fatherless when they have reached marriage: if you find them to be of sound judgment, deliver to them their property; and consume it not wastefully and hastily before they be grown. And he that is free from need, let him abstain; and he that is poor, let him take according to what is fitting. And when you deliver to them their property, take witnesses over them. And sufficient is God as reckoner.

### 22. Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 38

Inna Allaha yudafiAAu AAaniallatheena amanoo inna Allaha la yuhibbukulla khawwanin kafoor

God defends those who heed warning; God loves not every treacherous ingrate.

### 22. Surah Al-Hajj, Verse 40

اَلَّذ۪ينَ اُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ اِلَّٓا اَنْ يَقُولُوا رَبُّنَا اللّٰهُۜ وَلَوْلَا دَفْعُ اللّٰهِ النَّاسَ بَعْضَهُمْ بِبَعْضٍ لَهُدِّمَتْ صَوَامِــعُ وَبِيَعٌ وَصَلَوَاتٌ وَمَسَاجِدُ يُذْكَرُ ف۪يهَا اسْمُ اللّٰهِ كَث۪يراًۜ وَلَيَنْصُرَنَّ اللّٰهُ مَنْ يَنْصُرُهُۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَقَوِيٌّ عَز۪يزٌ

Allatheena okhrijoo min diyarihimbighayri haqqin illa an yaqooloo rabbuna Allahuwalawla dafAAu Allahi annasa baAAdahumbibaAAdin lahuddimat sawamiAAu wabiyaAAun wasalawatunwamasajidu yuthkaru feeha ismu Allahikatheeran walayansuranna Allahu man yansuruhuinna Allaha laqawiyyun AAazeez

Those who have been turned out of their homes without cause save that they said: “Our Lord is God.” And were God not to repel some people by means of others, pious communities would be destroyed, and trade, and duties, and places of worship wherein the name of God is remembered much[...]. But God will help him who helps Him: — God is strong and exalted in might —

### 23. Surah Al-Mu'minun, Verse 96

### 41. Surah Fussilat, Verse 34

Wala tastawee alhasanatu walaassayyi-atu idfaAA billatee hiya ahsanufa-itha allathee baynaka wabaynahu AAadawatunkaannahu waliyyun hameem

And not equal are the good and the evil. Repel thou with that which is better, and then is he between whom and thee is enmity like a loyal friend;

### 52. Surah At-Tur, Verse 8
