Have they not considered that We come to the earth, diminishing it from its extremities? And God judges; there is no adjuster of His judgment; and He is swift in reckoning.

So be thou patient over what they say, and give thou glory with the praise of thy Lord before the rising of the sun, and before its setting. And some periods of the night give thou glory; and at the ends of the day, that thou mightest be satisfied.

### 21. Surah Al-Anbiya, Verse 44

Bal mattaAAna haola-iwaabaahum hatta talaAAalayhimu alAAumuru afala yarawna anna na/teeal-arda nanqusuha min atrafihaafahumu alghaliboon

But We gave these and their fathers enjoyment until life became long for them. Have they then not considered that We come to the earth, diminishing it from its extremities? Is it then they who will be the victors?

Qala allathee AAindahu AAilmunmina alkitabi ana ateeka bihi qabla anyartadda ilayka tarfuka falamma raahumustaqirran AAindahu qala hatha min fadlirabbee liyabluwanee aashkuru am akfuru waman shakara fa-innamayashkuru linafsihi waman kafara fa-inna rabbee ghaniyyun kareem

Said one with knowledge of the writ: “I will bring it to thee before thy glance return to thee.” And when he saw it set before him, he said: “This is of the bounty of my Lord, that He might try me, whether I am grateful or ungrateful; and whoso is grateful, he is but grateful for his soul; and whoso is ungrateful, then is my Lord free from need and generous.

Watarahum yuAAradoona AAalayhakhashiAAeena mina aththulli yanthuroonamin tarfin khafiyyin waqala allatheena amanooinna alkhasireena allatheena khasiroo anfusahumwaahleehim yawma alqiyamati ala inna aththalimeenafee AAathabin muqeem

And thou wilt see them being exposed to it, humble from weakness, looking on with a furtive glance; and those who heed warning will say: “The losers are those who lose themselves and their families on the Day of Resurrection”; in truth, the wrongdoers are in lasting punishment.
