Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 26 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقُّ — l-ḥaqu · "(is) the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case اِنَّ اللّٰهَ لَا يَسْتَحْـي۪ٓ اَنْ يَضْرِبَ مَثَلاً مَا بَعُوضَةً فَمَا فَوْقَهَاۜ فَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا فَيَعْلَمُونَ اَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا فَيَقُولُونَ مَاذَٓا اَرَادَ اللّٰهُ بِهٰذَا مَثَلاًۢ يُضِلُّ بِه۪ كَث۪يراً وَيَهْد۪ي بِه۪ كَث۪يراًۜ وَمَا يُضِلُّ بِه۪ٓ اِلَّا الْفَاسِق۪ينَۙ Inna Allaha la yastahyeean yadriba mathalan ma baAAoodatan famafawqaha faamma allatheena amanoofayaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu min rabbihim waammaallatheena kafaroo fayaqooloona matha aradaAllahu bihatha mathalan yudillu bihikatheeran wayahdee bihi katheeran wama yudillu bihiilla alfasiqeen God is not ashamed to strike a similitude, be it of a gnat or of what is above it. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 61 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ ۗ — l-ḥaqi · "[the] right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَاِذْ قُلْتُمْ يَا مُوسٰى لَنْ نَصْبِرَ عَلٰى طَعَامٍ وَاحِدٍ فَادْعُ لَنَا رَبَّكَ يُخْرِجْ لَنَا مِمَّا تُنْبِتُ الْاَرْضُ مِنْ بَقْلِهَا وَقِثَّٓائِهَا وَفُومِهَا وَعَدَسِهَا وَبَصَلِهَاۜ قَالَ اَتَسْتَبْدِلُونَ الَّذ۪ي هُوَ اَدْنٰى بِالَّذ۪ي هُوَ خَيْرٌۜ اِهْبِطُوا مِصْراً فَاِنَّ لَكُمْ مَا سَاَلْتُمْۜ وَضُرِبَتْ عَلَيْهِمُ الذِّلَّةُ وَالْمَسْكَنَةُ وَبَٓاؤُ۫ بِغَضَبٍ مِنَ اللّٰهِۜ ذٰلِكَ بِاَنَّهُمْ كَانُوا يَكْفُرُونَ بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ وَيَقْتُلُونَ النَّبِيّ۪نَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّۜ ذٰلِكَ بِمَا عَصَوْا وَكَانُوا يَعْتَدُونَ۟ Wa-ith qultum ya moosalan nasbira AAala taAAamin wahidinfadAAu lana rabbaka yukhrij lana mimmatunbitu al-ardu min baqliha waqiththa-ihawafoomiha waAAadasiha wabasaliha qalaatastabdiloona allathee huwa adna billatheehuwa khayrun ihbitoo misran fa-inna lakum masaaltum waduribat AAalayhimu aththillatu walmaskanatuwabaoo bighadabin mina Allahi thalikabi-annahum kanoo yakfuroona bi-ayati Allahiwayaqtuloona annabiyyeena bighayri alhaqqi thalikabima AAasaw wakanoo yaAAtadoon And when you said: “O Moses: we will not endure one food, so call thou to thy Lord for us that He bring forth for us of what the earth grows of its green herbs, and its cucumbers, and its garlic, and its lentils, and its onions.” He said: “Would you exchange for what is worse what is better? Get you down to Egypt, and you will have what you have asked.” And humiliation and wretchedness were pitched upon them; and they incurred wrath from God, for it is that they denied the proofs of God! Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 91 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقُّ — l-ḥaqu · "(is) the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case وَاِذَا ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ اٰمِنُوا بِمَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ قَالُوا نُؤْمِنُ بِمَٓا اُنْزِلَ عَلَيْنَا وَيَكْفُرُونَ بِمَا وَرَٓاءَهُ وَهُوَ الْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقاً لِمَا مَعَهُمْۜ قُلْ فَلِمَ تَقْتُلُونَ اَنْبِيَٓاءَ اللّٰهِ مِنْ قَبْلُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ Wa-itha qeela lahum aminoo bimaanzala Allahu qaloo nu/minu bima onzilaAAalayna wayakfuroona bima waraahu wahuwa alhaqqumusaddiqan lima maAAahum qul falima taqtuloonaanbiyaa Allahi min qablu in kuntum mu/mineen And when it is said to them: “Believe in what God has sent down,” they say: “We believe in what was sent down to us,” and they deny what is beyond it, when it is the truth confirming what is with them. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 144 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقُّ — l-ḥaqu · "(is) the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case قَدْ نَرٰى تَقَلُّبَ وَجْهِكَ فِي السَّمَٓاءِۚ فَلَنُوَلِّيَنَّكَ قِبْلَةً تَرْضٰيهَاۖ فَوَلِّ وَجْهَكَ شَطْرَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِۜ وَحَيْثُ مَا كُنْتُمْ فَوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ شَطْرَهُۜ وَاِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ لَيَعْلَمُونَ اَنَّهُ الْحَقُّ مِنْ رَبِّهِمْۜ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا يَعْمَلُونَ Qad nara taqalluba wajhika fee assama-ifalanuwalliyannaka qiblatan tardaha fawalli wajhakashatra almasjidi alharami wahaythu makuntum fawalloo wujoohakum shatrahu wa-inna allatheenaootoo alkitaba layaAAlamoona annahu alhaqqu minrabbihim wama Allahu bighafilin AAammayaAAmaloon We have seen the turning of thy face towards the sky, and We will turn thee towards a course that will satisfy thee. So direct thou thy face towards the inviolable place of worship. And wheresoever you be, direct your faces towards it; and those given the Writ know that it is the truth from their Lord, and God is not unmindful of what they do. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-144.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 213 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ — bil-ḥaqi · "in [the] truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case كَانَ النَّاسُ اُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً فَبَعَثَ اللّٰهُ النَّبِيّ۪نَ مُبَشِّر۪ينَ وَمُنْذِر۪ينَۖ وَاَنْزَلَ مَعَهُمُ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ لِيَحْكُمَ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ ف۪يمَا اخْتَلَفُوا ف۪يهِۜ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ ف۪يهِ اِلَّا الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوهُ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَٓاءَتْهُمُ الْبَيِّنَاتُ بَغْياً بَيْنَهُمْۚ فَهَدَى اللّٰهُ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا لِمَا اخْتَلَفُوا ف۪يهِ مِنَ الْحَقِّ بِاِذْنِه۪ۜ وَاللّٰهُ يَهْد۪ي مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ اِلٰى صِرَاطٍ مُسْتَق۪يمٍ Kana annasu ommatan wahidatanfabaAAatha Allahu annabiyyeena mubashshireenawamunthireena waanzala maAAahumu alkitaba bilhaqqiliyahkuma bayna annasi feemaikhtalafoo feehi wama ikhtalafa feehi illa allatheenaootoohu min baAAdi ma jaat-humu albayyinatubaghyan baynahum fahada Allahu allatheena amanoolima ikhtalafoo feehi mina alhaqqi bi-ithnihiwallahu yahdee man yashao ila siratinmustaqeem Mankind was one community; then God raised up prophets as bearers of glad tidings and warners, and sent down with them the Writ with the truth, that He might judge between men concerning that wherein they differed. And there differed therein only those who were given it, after clear signs had come to them, through sectarian zealotry between them. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 228 - **Form in this verse:** أَحَقُّ — aḥaqqu · "(have) better right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, singular · nominative case وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِاَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلٰثَةَ قُرُٓوءٍۜ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ اَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ ف۪ٓي اَرْحَامِهِنَّ اِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِۜ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ اَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ اِنْ اَرَادُٓوا اِصْلَاحاًۜ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِۖ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَز۪يزٌ حَك۪يمٌ۟ Walmutallaqatuyatarabbasna bi-anfusihinna thalathata quroo-in walayahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahufee arhamihinna in kunna yu/minna billahiwalyawmi al-akhiri wabuAAoolatuhunna ahaqqubiraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahanwalahunna mithlu allathee AAalayhinna bilmaAAroofiwalirrijali AAalayhinna darajatun wallahuAAazeezun hakeem And divorced women shall wait by themselves three menstrual courses; and it is not lawful for them to conceal what God has created in their wombs, if they believe in God and the Last Day. And their husbands are worthier to take them back during that if they desire right ordering. And due to women is the like of what is due from them, according to what is fitting, but men have a degree over them. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 247 - **Form in this verse:** أَحَقُّ — aḥaqqu · "(are) more entitled" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, singular · nominative case وَقَالَ لَهُمْ نَبِيُّهُمْ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ قَدْ بَعَثَ لَكُمْ طَالُوتَ مَلِكاًۜ قَالُٓوا اَنّٰى يَكُونُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ عَلَيْنَا وَنَحْنُ اَحَقُّ بِالْمُلْكِ مِنْهُ وَلَمْ يُؤْتَ سَعَةً مِنَ الْمَالِۜ قَالَ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اصْطَفٰيهُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَزَادَهُ بَسْطَةً فِي الْعِلْمِ وَالْجِسْمِۜ وَاللّٰهُ يُؤْت۪ي مُلْكَهُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَل۪يمٌ Waqala lahum nabiyyuhum inna Allahaqad baAAatha lakum taloota malikan qaloo annayakoonu lahu almulku AAalayna wanahnu ahaqqubilmulki minhu walam yu/ta saAAatan mina almali qalainna Allaha istafahu AAalaykum wazadahubastatan fee alAAilmi waljismi wallahuyu/tee mulkahu man yashao wallahu wasiAAunAAaleem And their prophet said to them: “God has raised up for you Saul as king.” They said: “How can he have dominion over us when we are worthier of dominion than he, when he has not been given abundance of wealth?” He said: “God has chosen him over you, and increased him abundantly in knowledge and stature.” And God gives His dominion to whom He wills; and God is encompassing and knowing. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-247.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 282 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقُّ — l-ḥaqu · "(is) the right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · nominative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا تَدَايَنْتُمْ بِدَيْنٍ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُۜ وَلْيَكْتُبْ بَيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِۖ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ اَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْۚ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّٰهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْـٔاًۜ فَاِنْ كَانَ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَف۪يهاً اَوْ ضَع۪يفاً اَوْ لَا يَسْتَط۪يعُ اَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِۜ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَه۪يدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْۚ فَاِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَاَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَٓاءِ اَنْ تَضِلَّ اِحْدٰيهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ اِحْدٰيهُمَا الْاُخْرٰىۜ وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَٓاءُ اِذَا مَا دُعُواۜ وَلَا تَسْـَٔمُٓوا اَنْ تَكْتُبُوهُ صَغ۪يراً اَوْ كَب۪يراً اِلٰٓى اَجَلِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكُمْ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَاَدْنٰٓى اَلَّا تَرْتَابُٓوا اِلَّٓا اَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُد۪يرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَلَّا تَكْتُبُوهَاۜ وَاَشْهِدُٓوا اِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْۖ وَلَا يُضَٓارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَه۪يدٌۜ وَاِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْۜ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللّٰهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tadayantum bidaynin ila ajalin musammanfaktuboohu walyaktub baynakum katibun bilAAadliwala ya/ba katibun an yaktuba kamaAAallamahu Allahu falyaktub walyumlili allatheeAAalayhi alhaqqu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu walayabkhas minhu shay-an fa-in kana allathee AAalayhialhaqqu safeehan aw daAAeefan aw la yastateeAAuan yumilla huwa falyumlil waliyyuhu bilAAadli wastashhidooshaheedayni min rijalikum fa-in lam yakoonarajulayni farajulun wamraatani mimman tardawnamina ashshuhada-i an tadilla ihdahumafatuthakkira ihdahuma al-okhrawala ya/ba ashshuhadao itha maduAAoo wala tas-amoo an taktuboohu sagheeran awkabeeran ila ajalihi thalikum aqsatu AAindaAllahi waaqwamu lishshahadati waadnaalla tartaboo illa an takoona tijaratanhadiratan tudeeroonaha baynakum falaysa AAalaykumjunahun alla taktubooha waashhidoo ithatabayaAAtum wala yudarra katibun walashaheedun wa-in tafAAaloo fa-innahu fusooqun bikum wattaqooAllaha wayuAAallimukumu Allahu wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem O you who heed warning: when you contract a debt together to a stated term: write it down, and let a writer write it down between you justly; and let not a writer refuse to write it down as God has taught him; so let him write, and let the debtor dictate, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord, and diminish nothing thereof. But if the debtor be incompetent, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then his ally shall dictate justly. And call to witness two witnesses from among your men; but if there be not two men, then a man and two women among those you approve as witnesses, that should one of them err, one of them might remind the other; and let not the witnesses refuse when they are called. And be not weary of writing it, small or great, with its term (that is more just in the sight of God, and more upright for witness, and likelier that there will be no doubt between you) save if it be present trade that you transact among you; then you do no wrong that you write it not down. And take witnesses when you enter into contract. And let not a writer or witness be harmed. And if you do, then is it perfidy among you. And be in prudent fear of God. And they will incur wrath from God, and wretchedness will be pitched upon them, for it is that they denied the proofs of God! Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 154 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ — l-ḥaqi · "the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case ثُمَّ اَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ الْغَمِّ اَمَنَةً نُعَاساً يَغْشٰى طَٓائِفَةً مِنْكُمْۙ وَطَٓائِفَةٌ قَدْ اَهَمَّتْهُمْ اَنْفُسُهُمْ يَظُنُّونَ بِاللّٰهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ ظَنَّ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِۜ يَقُولُونَ هَلْ لَنَا مِنَ الْاَمْرِ مِنْ شَيْءٍۜ قُلْ اِنَّ الْاَمْرَ كُلَّهُ لِلّٰهِۜ يُخْفُونَ ف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِهِمْ مَا لَا يُبْدُونَ لَكَۜ يَقُولُونَ لَوْ كَانَ لَنَا مِنَ الْاَمْرِ شَيْءٌ مَا قُتِلْنَا هٰهُنَاۜ قُلْ لَوْ كُنْتُمْ ف۪ي بُيُوتِكُمْ لَبَرَزَ الَّذ۪ينَ كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقَتْلُ اِلٰى مَضَاجِعِهِمْۚ وَلِيَبْتَلِيَ اللّٰهُ مَا ف۪ي صُدُورِكُمْ وَلِيُمَحِّصَ مَا ف۪ي قُلُوبِكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَل۪يمٌ بِذَاتِ الصُّدُورِ Thumma anzala AAalaykum min baAAdi alghammiamanatan nuAAasan yaghsha ta-ifatan minkumwata-ifatun qad ahammat-hum anfusuhum yathunnoonabillahi ghayra alhaqqi thannaaljahiliyyati yaqooloona hal lana mina al-amri minshay-in qul inna al-amra kullahu lillahi yukhfoona feeanfusihim ma la yubdoona laka yaqooloona law kanalana mina al-amri shay-on ma qutilna hahunaqul law kuntum fee buyootikum labaraza allatheena kutibaAAalayhimu alqatlu ila madajiAAihim waliyabtaliyaAllahu ma fee sudoorikum waliyumahhisama fee quloobikum wallahu AAaleemun bithatiassudoor Then He sent down upon you, after distress, security, slumber overcoming a number of you; and a number had grieved themselves thinking about God other than the truth — the thought of ignorance — saying: “Have we any part in the affair?” Say thou: “The affair belongs entirely to God.” They hide within themselves what they reveal not to thee, saying: “Had we any part in the affair, we would not have been slain here.” Say thou: “Had you been in your houses, those for whom killing was decreed would have gone forth to their resting places”; and: “That God might try what is in your breasts”; and: “That He might refine what is in your hearts.” And God knows what is in the breasts. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-154.md_ ### 3. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 155 - **Form in this verse:** حَقٍّۢ — ḥaqqin · "any right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case · indefinite فَبِمَا نَقْضِهِمْ م۪يثَاقَهُمْ وَكُفْرِهِمْ بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ وَقَتْلِهِمُ الْاَنْبِيَٓاءَ بِغَيْرِ حَقٍّ وَقَوْلِهِمْ قُلُوبُنَا غُلْفٌۜ بَلْ طَبَعَ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهَا بِكُفْرِهِمْ فَلَا يُؤْمِنُونَ اِلَّا قَل۪يلاًۖ Fabima naqdihim meethaqahumwakufrihim bi-ayati Allahi waqatlihimual-anbiyaa bighayri haqqin waqawlihim quloobunaghulfun bal tabaAAa Allahu AAalayhabikufrihim fala yu/minoona illa qaleela So, because of their violation of their agreement, and their denial of the proofs of God, and their killing of the prophets without cause, and their saying: “Our hearts are covered,” — nay, God sealed them for their denial, so they do not believe save a few — _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-155.md_ ### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 170 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ — bil-ḥaqi · "with the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case يَٓا اَيُّهَا النَّاسُ قَدْ جَٓاءَكُمُ الرَّسُولُ بِالْحَقِّ مِنْ رَبِّكُمْ فَاٰمِنُوا خَيْراً لَكُمْۜ وَاِنْ تَكْفُرُوا فَاِنَّ لِلّٰهِ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضِۜ وَكَانَ اللّٰهُ عَل۪يماً حَك۪يماً Ya ayyuha annasuqad jaakumu arrasoolu bilhaqqi minrabbikum faaminoo khayran lakum wa-in takfuroo fa-innalillahi ma fee assamawati wal-ardiwakana Allahu AAaleeman hakeema O mankind: the Messenger has come to you with the truth from your Lord; so believe, it is better for you. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 171 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقَّ ۚ — l-ḥaqa · "the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case يَٓا اَهْلَ الْكِتَابِ لَا تَغْلُوا ف۪ي د۪ينِكُمْ وَلَا تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّۜ اِنَّمَا الْمَس۪يحُ ع۪يسَى ابْنُ مَرْيَمَ رَسُولُ اللّٰهِ وَكَلِمَتُهُۚ اَلْقٰيهَٓا اِلٰى مَرْيَمَ وَرُوحٌ مِنْهُۘ فَاٰمِنُوا بِاللّٰهِ وَرُسُلِه۪ۚ وَلَا تَقُولُوا ثَلٰثَةٌۜ اِنْتَهُوا خَيْراً لَكُمْۜ اِنَّمَا اللّٰهُ اِلٰهٌ وَاحِدٌۜ سُبْحَانَهُٓ اَنْ يَكُونَ لَهُ وَلَدٌۢ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ وَكَفٰى بِاللّٰهِ وَك۪يلاً۟ Ya ahla alkitabi lataghloo fee deenikum wala taqooloo AAala Allahiilla alhaqqa innama almaseehu AAeesaibnu maryama rasoolu Allahi wakalimatuhu alqahaila maryama waroohun minhu faaminoo billahiwarusulihi wala taqooloo thalathatun intahookhayran lakum innama Allahu ilahun wahidunsubhanahu an yakoona lahu waladun lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi wakafa billahiwakeela O doctors of the Law: exceed not bounds in your doctrine, nor ascribe to God save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary was only the messenger of God, and His word which He conveyed to Mary, and a spirit from Him. So believe in God and His messengers, and say not: “Three.” Desist; it is best for you. God is but One God. Glory be to Him that He should have a son! Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 27 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ — bil-ḥaqi · "in truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَاتْلُ عَلَيْهِمْ نَبَاَ ابْنَيْ اٰدَمَ بِالْحَقِّۢ اِذْ قَرَّبَا قُرْبَاناً فَتُقُبِّلَ مِنْ اَحَدِهِمَا وَلَمْ يُتَقَبَّلْ مِنَ الْاٰخَرِۜ قَالَ لَاَقْتُلَنَّكَۜ قَالَ اِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللّٰهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّق۪ينَ Watlu AAalayhim nabaa ibnay adamabilhaqqi ith qarraba qurbananfatuqubbila min ahadihima walam yutaqabbal mina al-akhariqala laaqtulannaka qala innama yataqabbaluAllahu mina almuttaqeen And recite thou to them the report of the two sons of Adam with the truth, when they offered an offering, and it was accepted from the one of them and not accepted from the other: — he said: “I will kill thee.” Said he: “God only accepts from those of prudent fear. _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-27.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 48 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ — bil-ḥaqi · "in [the] truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَاَنْزَلْـنَٓا اِلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ بِالْحَقِّ مُصَدِّقاً لِمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمُهَيْمِناً عَلَيْهِ فَاحْكُمْ بَيْنَهُمْ بِمَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ اَهْوَٓاءَهُمْ عَمَّا جَٓاءَكَ مِنَ الْحَقِّۜ لِكُلٍّ جَعَلْنَا مِنْكُمْ شِرْعَةً وَمِنْهَاجاًۜ وَلَوْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُ لَجَعَلَكُمْ اُمَّةً وَاحِدَةً وَلٰكِنْ لِيَبْلُوَكُمْ ف۪ي مَٓا اٰتٰيكُمْ فَاسْتَبِقُوا الْخَيْرَاتِۜ اِلَى اللّٰهِ مَرْجِعُكُمْ جَم۪يعاً فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ ف۪يهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَۙ Waanzalna ilayka alkitaba bilhaqqimusaddiqan lima bayna yadayhi mina alkitabiwamuhayminan AAalayhi fahkum baynahum bimaanzala Allahu wala tattabiAA ahwaahum AAammajaaka mina alhaqqi likullin jaAAalna minkumshirAAatan waminhajan walaw shaa AllahulajaAAalakum ommatan wahidatan walakin liyabluwakumfeema atakum fastabiqoo alkhayratiila Allahi marjiAAukum jameeAAan fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoon And We sent down to thee the Writ with the truth, confirming what is before it of the Writ, and as a control over it. So judge thou between them by what God has sent down; and follow thou not their vain desires away from what has come to thee of the truth. For each of you We appointed an ordinance and a procedure. And had God willed, He could have made you one community; but that He might try you in what He gave you[...]. — So vie in good deeds; unto God will you return all together, and He will inform you of that wherein you differed — _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-48.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 83 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ ۖ — l-ḥaqi · "the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَاِذَا سَمِعُوا مَٓا اُنْزِلَ اِلَى الرَّسُولِ تَرٰٓى اَعْيُنَهُمْ تَف۪يضُ مِنَ الدَّمْعِ مِمَّا عَرَفُوا مِنَ الْحَقِّۚ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَٓا اٰمَنَّا فَاكْتُبْنَا مَعَ الشَّاهِد۪ينَ Wa-itha samiAAoo ma onzila ilaarrasooli tara aAAyunahum tafeedu mina addamAAimimma AAarafoo mina alhaqqi yaqooloona rabbanaamanna faktubna maAAa ashshahideen And when they listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger, thou seest their eyes overflow with tears because of what they recognise of the truth. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 107 - **Form in this verse:** ٱسْتَحَقَّآ — is'taḥaqqā · "(were) guilty" - **Grammar:** verb · pattern of istif'al · 3rd person, masculine, dual · past tense فَاِنْ عُثِرَ عَلٰٓى اَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّٓا اِثْماً فَاٰخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْاَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللّٰهِ لَشَهَادَتُـنَٓا اَحَقُّ مِنْ شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَاۘ اِنَّٓا اِذاً لَمِنَ الظَّالِم۪ينَ Fa-in AAuthira AAala annahumaistahaqqa ithman faakharani yaqoomanimaqamahuma mina allatheena istahaqqaAAalayhimu al-awlayani fayuqsimani billahilashahadatuna ahaqqu min shahadatihimawama iAAtadayna inna ithan lamina aththalimeen But if it be found that they have laid claim in sin, then two others shall stand in their place — the two foremost from those that lay claim — and let them swear by God: “Our witness is worthier than their witness; and we have not transgressed: then would we be among the wrongdoers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-107.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 116 - **Form in this verse:** بِحَقٍّ ۚ — biḥaqqin · "(had) right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case · indefinite وَاِذْ قَالَ اللّٰهُ يَا ع۪يسَى ابْنَ مَرْيَمَ ءَاَنْتَ قُلْتَ لِلنَّاسِ اتَّخِذُون۪ي وَاُمِّيَ اِلٰهَيْنِ مِنْ دُونِ اللّٰهِۜ قَالَ سُبْحَانَكَ مَا يَكُونُ ل۪ٓي اَنْ اَقُولَ مَا لَيْسَ ل۪ي بِحَقٍّۜ اِنْ كُنْتُ قُلْتُهُ فَقَدْ عَلِمْتَهُۜ تَعْلَمُ مَا ف۪ي نَفْس۪ي وَلَٓا اَعْلَمُ مَا ف۪ي نَفْسِكَۜ اِنَّكَ اَنْتَ عَلَّامُ الْغُيُوبِ Wa-ith qala Allahu yaAAeesa ibna maryama aanta qulta linnasiittakhithoonee waommiya ilahayni min dooni Allahiqala subhanaka ma yakoonu lee an aqoola malaysa lee bihaqqin in kuntu qultuhu faqad AAalimtahutaAAlamu ma fee nafsee wala aAAlamu ma feenafsika innaka anta AAallamu alghuyoob And when God will say: “O Jesus, son of Mary: didst thou say to men: ‘Take me and my mother as two gods besides God?’” he will say: “Glory be to Thee! It was not for me to say that to which I had no right! If I had said it, then Thou wouldst have known it. And the day He says: “Be thou,” then it is. His word is the truth. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 91 - **Form in this verse:** حَقَّ — ḥaqqa · "(with) true" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِه۪ٓ اِذْ قَالُوا مَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُ عَلٰى بَشَرٍ مِنْ شَيْءٍۜ قُلْ مَنْ اَنْزَلَ الْكِتَابَ الَّذ۪ي جَٓاءَ بِه۪ مُوسٰى نُوراً وَهُدًى لِلنَّاسِ تَجْعَلُونَهُ قَرَاط۪يسَ تُبْدُونَهَا وَتُخْفُونَ كَث۪يراًۚ وَعُلِّمْتُمْ مَا لَمْ تَعْلَمُٓوا اَنْتُمْ وَلَٓا اٰبَٓاؤُ۬كُمْۜ قُلِ اللّٰهُۙ ثُمَّ ذَرْهُمْ ف۪ي خَوْضِهِمْ يَلْعَبُونَ Wama qadaroo Allaha haqqaqadrihi ith qaloo ma anzala AllahuAAala basharin min shay-in qul man anzala alkitabaallathee jaa bihi moosa nooran wahudan linnasitajAAaloonahu qarateesa tubdoonaha watukhfoonakatheeran waAAullimtum ma lam taAAlamoo antum wala abaokumquli Allahu thumma tharhum fee khawdihimyalAAaboon And they measured God not with the measure due Him when they said: “God has not sent down upon a mortal anything.” Say thou: “Who sent down the Writ which Moses brought as a light and guidance for men?” (You make it into parchments which you show; and you conceal much; and you were taught what you knew not, you and your fathers.) Surah Al-An'am, Verse 93 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ — l-ḥaqi · "the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنِ افْتَرٰى عَلَى اللّٰهِ كَذِباً اَوْ قَالَ اُو۫حِيَ اِلَيَّ وَلَمْ يُوحَ اِلَيْهِ شَيْءٌ وَمَنْ قَالَ سَاُنْزِلُ مِثْلَ مَٓا اَنْزَلَ اللّٰهُۜ وَلَوْ تَرٰٓى اِذِ الظَّالِمُونَ ف۪ي غَمَرَاتِ الْمَوْتِ وَالْمَلٰٓئِكَةُ بَاسِطُٓوا اَيْد۪يهِمْۚ اَخْرِجُٓوا اَنْفُسَكُمْۜ اَلْيَوْمَ تُجْزَوْنَ عَذَابَ الْهُونِ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ غَيْرَ الْحَقِّ وَكُنْتُمْ عَنْ اٰيَاتِه۪ تَسْتَكْبِرُونَ Waman athlamu mimmani iftaraAAala Allahi kathiban aw qala oohiyailayya walam yooha ilayhi shay-on waman qalasaonzilu mithla ma anzala Allahu walaw taraithi aththalimoona fee ghamaratialmawti walmala-ikatu basitooaydeehim akhrijoo anfusakumu alyawma tujzawna AAathabaalhooni bima kuntum taqooloona AAala Allahighayra alhaqqi wakuntum AAan ayatihitastakbiroon And who is more unjust than he who invents a lie about God, or says: “It has been revealed to me,” when nothing has been revealed to him, and who says: “I will send down the like of what God sent down”? And if thou couldst see when the wrongdoers are in the throes of death and the angels stretching out their hands: “Bring forth your souls; this day are you rewarded with the punishment of humiliation because you ascribed to God other than the truth, and waxed proud at His proofs!”[...]. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-93.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 141 - **Form in this verse:** حَقَّهُۥ — ḥaqqahu · "its due" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case وَهُوَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اَنْشَاَ جَنَّاتٍ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَغَيْرَ مَعْرُوشَاتٍ وَالنَّخْلَ وَالزَّرْعَ مُخْتَلِفاً اُكُلُهُ وَالزَّيْتُونَ وَالرُّمَّانَ مُتَشَابِهاً وَغَيْرَ مُتَشَابِهٍۜ كُلُوا مِنْ ثَمَرِه۪ٓ اِذَٓا اَثْمَرَ وَاٰتُوا حَقَّهُ يَوْمَ حَصَادِه۪ۘ وَلَا تُسْرِفُواۜ اِنَّهُ لَا يُحِبُّ الْمُسْرِف۪ينَۙ Wahuwa allathee anshaa jannatinmaAArooshatin waghayra maAArooshatin wannakhlawazzarAAa mukhtalifan okuluhu wazzaytoona warrummanamutashabihan waghayra mutashabihin kuloo minthamarihi itha athmara waatoo haqqahu yawma hasadihiwala tusrifoo innahu la yuhibbu almusrifeen And He it is that produces gardens, trellised and untrellised, and the date-palms, and crops diverse in their food, and the olive and the pomegranate, similar yet different. Eat of the fruit thereof when it bears fruit, and render its due on the day of its harvest; and commit not excess, He loves not the committers of excess. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-141.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 151 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ — bil-ḥaqi · "by (legal) right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case قُلْ تَعَالَوْا اَتْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ رَبُّكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ اَلَّا تُشْرِكُوا بِه۪ شَيْـٔاًۜ وَبِالْوَالِدَيْنِ اِحْسَاناًۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُٓوا اَوْلَادَكُمْ مِنْ اِمْلَاقٍۜ نَحْنُ نَرْزُقُكُمْ وَاِيَّاهُمْۚ وَلَا تَقْرَبُوا الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَۚ وَلَا تَقْتُلُوا النَّفْسَ الَّت۪ي حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ اِلَّا بِالْحَقِّۜ ذٰلِكُمْ وَصّٰيكُمْ بِه۪ لَعَلَّكُمْ تَعْقِلُونَ Qul taAAalaw atlu ma harramarabbukum AAalaykum alla tushrikoo bihi shay-an wabilwalidayniihsanan wala taqtuloo awladakum minimlaqin nahnu narzuqukum wa-iyyahum walataqraboo alfawahisha ma thahara minhawama batana wala taqtuloo annafsaallatee harrama Allahu illa bilhaqqithalikum wassakum bihi laAAallakum taAAqiloon Say thou: “Come, I will recite what your Lord has made unlawful for you: that you ascribe a partnership with Him ­­to anything (while towards parents good conduct); and kill not your children out of poverty,” — We will provide for you and for them — “and approach not sexual immoralities, whether open or concealed; and kill not the soul which God has made unlawful save with justice; ­— that He enjoined upon you, that you might use reason. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-151.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 33 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ — l-ḥaqi · "[the] right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case قُلْ اِنَّمَا حَرَّمَ رَبِّيَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنْهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ وَالْاِثْمَ وَالْبَغْيَ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَاَنْ تُشْرِكُوا بِاللّٰهِ مَا لَمْ يُنَزِّلْ بِه۪ سُلْطَاناً وَاَنْ تَقُولُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ مَا لَا تَعْلَمُونَ Qul innama harrama rabbiyaalfawahisha ma thahara minhawama batana wal-ithma walbaghyabighayri alhaqqi waan tushrikoo billahi malam yunazzil bihi sultanan waan taqooloo AAala Allahima la taAAlamoon Say thou: “My Lord has only made unlawful sexual immoralities — whether open or concealed — and sin, and sectarian zealotry without cause, and that you ascribe a partnership with God to that for which He has not sent down authority, and that you ascribe to God what you know not.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-33.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 43 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ — bil-ḥaqi · "with the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case وَنَزَعْنَا مَا ف۪ي صُدُورِهِمْ مِنْ غِلٍّ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمُ الْاَنْهَارُۚ وَقَالُوا الْحَمْدُ لِلّٰهِ الَّذ۪ي هَدٰينَا لِهٰذَا وَمَا كُنَّا لِنَهْتَدِيَ لَوْلَٓا اَنْ هَدٰينَا اللّٰهُۚ لَقَدْ جَٓاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّۜ وَنُودُٓوا اَنْ تِلْكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ اُو۫رِثْتُمُوهَا بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ WanazaAAna ma fee sudoorihimmin ghillin tajree min tahtihimu al-anharu waqalooalhamdu lillahi allathee hadanalihatha wama kunna linahtadiya lawlaan hadana Allahu laqad jaat rusulurabbina bilhaqqi wanoodoo an tilkumualjannatu oorithtumooha bima kuntum taAAmaloon And We will remove any rancour from their hearts; there flow beneath them rivers; and they will say: “Praise belongs to God who has guided us to this! And we would not have been guided had not God guided us. The messengers of our Lord came with the truth.” And they will be called: “That is the Garden which you are made to inherit for what you did.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-43.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 44 - **Form in this verse:** حَقًّۭا — ḥaqqan · "true" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case · indefinite وَنَادٰٓى اَصْحَابُ الْجَنَّةِ اَصْحَابَ النَّارِ اَنْ قَدْ وَجَدْنَا مَا وَعَدَنَا رَبُّنَا حَقاًّ فَهَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَ رَبُّكُمْ حَقاًّۜ قَالُوا نَعَمْۚ فَاَذَّنَ مُؤَذِّنٌ بَيْنَهُمْ اَنْ لَعْنَةُ اللّٰهِ عَلَى الظَّالِم۪ينَۙ Wanada as-habualjannati as-haba annari an qadwajadna ma waAAadana rabbuna haqqanfahal wajadtum ma waAAada rabbukum haqqan qaloonaAAam faaththana mu-aththinun baynahum an laAAnatuAllahi AAala aththalimeen And the companions of the Garden will call to the companions of the Fire: “We have found what our Lord promised us true; have you found what your Lord promised you true?” They will say: “Yea.” Then will there proclaim a proclaimer between them: “The curse of God is upon the wrongdoers: _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-44.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 53 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْحَقِّ — bil-ḥaqi · "with the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case هَلْ يَنْظُرُونَ اِلَّا تَأْو۪يلَهُۜ يَوْمَ يَأْت۪ي تَأْو۪يلُهُ يَقُولُ الَّذ۪ينَ نَسُوهُ مِنْ قَبْلُ قَدْ جَٓاءَتْ رُسُلُ رَبِّنَا بِالْحَقِّۚ فَهَلْ لَنَا مِنْ شُفَعَٓاءَ فَيَشْفَعُوا لَـنَٓا اَوْ نُرَدُّ فَنَعْمَلَ غَيْرَ الَّذ۪ي كُنَّا نَعْمَلُۜ قَدْ خَسِرُٓوا اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَضَلَّ عَنْهُمْ مَا كَانُوا يَفْتَرُونَ۟ Hal yanthuroona illata/weelahu yawma ya/tee ta/weeluhu yaqoolu allatheenanasoohu min qablu qad jaat rusulu rabbina bilhaqqifahal lana min shufaAAaa fayashfaAAoo lanaaw nuraddu fanaAAmala ghayra allathee kunnanaAAmalu qad khasiroo anfusahum wadalla AAanhum makanoo yaftaroon Look they save for the fulfilment thereof? The day the fulfilment thereof comes, those who had forgotten it before will say: “The messengers of our Lord came with the truth, so have we any intercessors that might intercede for us? It is not for us to return to it save if God our Lord should will. Our Lord encompasses all things in knowledge. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 169 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقَّ — l-ḥaqa · "the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا الْكِتَابَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هٰذَا الْاَدْنٰى وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَاۚ وَاِنْ يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِثْلُهُ يَأْخُذُوهُۜ اَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِمْ م۪يثَاقُ الْكِتَابِ اَنْ لَا يَقُولُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُوا مَا ف۪يهِۜ وَالدَّارُ الْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِلَّذ۪ينَ يَتَّقُونَۜ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun warithooalkitaba ya/khuthoona AAarada hathaal-adna wayaqooloona sayughfaru lana wa-in ya/tihimAAaradun mithluhu ya/khuthoohu alam yu/khathAAalayhim meethaqu alkitabi an la yaqoolooAAala Allahi illa alhaqqa wadarasoo mafeehi waddaru al-akhiratu khayrun lillatheenayattaqoona afala taAAqiloon And there followed after them successors who inherited the Writ, taking the goods of this fleeting life, and saying: “It will be forgiven us.” And if there come to them goods the like thereof, they will take them. Has there not been taken from them an agreement to the Writ, that they ascribe not to God save the truth, and that they study what is therein? Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 13 - **Form in this verse:** أَحَقُّ — aḥaqqu · "(has) more right" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, singular · nominative case اَلَا تُقَاتِلُونَ قَوْماً نَكَثُٓوا اَيْمَانَهُمْ وَهَمُّوا بِاِخْرَاجِ الرَّسُولِ وَهُمْ بَدَؤُ۫كُمْ اَوَّلَ مَرَّةٍۜ اَتَخْشَوْنَهُمْۚ فَاللّٰهُ اَحَقُّ اَنْ تَخْشَوْهُ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ مُؤْمِن۪ينَ Ala tuqatiloona qawmannakathoo aymanahum wahammoo bi-ikhraji arrasooliwahum badaookum awwala marratin atakhshawnahum fallahuahaqqu an takhshawhu in kuntum mu/mineen Will you not fight a people who broke their oaths, and purposed to turn the Messenger out, and began against you the first time? Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 29 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ — l-ḥaqi · "(of) the truth" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case قَاتِلُوا الَّذ۪ينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَد۪ينُونَ د۪ينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتّٰى يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ۟ Qatiloo allatheena layu/minoona billahi wala bilyawmial-akhiri wala yuharrimoona ma harramaAllahu warasooluhu wala yadeenoona deena alhaqqimina allatheena ootoo alkitaba hattayuAAtoo aljizyata AAan yadin wahum saghiroon Fight those who believe not in God or the Last Day, and make not unlawful what God and His messenger have made unlawful, and adhere not to the doctrine of truth among those given the Writ, until they make reparation under supervision when they are brought low. _https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-29.md_ ### 9. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 111 - **Form in this verse:** حَقًّۭا — ḥaqqan · "true" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · accusative case · indefinite اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اشْتَرٰى مِنَ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ اَنْفُسَهُمْ وَاَمْوَالَهُمْ بِاَنَّ لَهُمُ الْجَنَّةَۜ يُقَاتِلُونَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ فَيَقْتُلُونَ وَيُقْتَلُونَ وَعْداً عَلَيْهِ حَقاًّ فِي التَّوْرٰيةِ وَالْاِنْج۪يلِ وَالْقُرْاٰنِۜ وَمَنْ اَوْفٰى بِعَهْدِه۪ مِنَ اللّٰهِ فَاسْتَبْشِرُوا بِبَيْعِكُمُ الَّذ۪ي بَايَعْتُمْ بِه۪ۜ وَذٰلِكَ هُوَ الْفَوْزُ الْعَظ۪يمُ Inna Allaha ishtara minaalmu/mineena anfusahum waamwalahum bi-anna lahumualjannata yuqatiloona fee sabeeli Allahifayaqtuloona wayuqtaloona waAAdan AAalayhi haqqan fee attawratiwal-injeeli walqur-ani waman awfabiAAahdihi mina Allahi fastabshiroo bibayAAikumuallathee bayaAAtum bihi wathalika huwaalfawzu alAAatheem God has bought from the believers their lives and their wealth; for that the Garden is theirs — they fighting in the cause of God, killing and being killed — a promise binding upon Him in the Torah and the Gospel and the Qur’an. And who better fulfils his covenant than God? He begins creation, then He repeats it that He might reward those who heed warning and do righteous deeds with equity. Surah Yunus, Verse 23 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْحَقِّ ۗ — l-ḥaqi · "[the] right" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine · genitive case فَلَمَّٓا اَنْجٰيهُمْ اِذَا هُمْ يَبْغُونَ فِي الْاَرْضِ بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّۜ يَٓا اَيُّهَا النَّاسُ اِنَّمَا بَغْيُكُمْ عَلٰٓى اَنْفُسِكُمْۙ مَتَاعَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَا ثُمَّ اِلَيْنَا مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَنُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ Falamma anjahum ithahum yabghoona fee al-ardi bighayri alhaqqi yaayyuha annasu innama baghyukum AAalaanfusikum mataAAa alhayati addunyathumma ilayna marjiAAukum fanunabbi-okum bimakuntum taAAmaloon Then when He delivers them, they rebel in the earth without cause.)
