Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 109 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "(of)" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case وَدَّ كَث۪يرٌ مِنْ اَهْلِ الْكِتَابِ لَوْ يَرُدُّونَكُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ ا۪يمَانِكُمْ كُفَّاراًۚ حَسَداً مِنْ عِنْدِ اَنْفُسِهِمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا تَبَيَّنَ لَهُمُ الْحَقُّۚ فَاعْفُوا وَاصْفَحُوا حَتّٰى يَأْتِيَ اللّٰهُ بِاَمْرِه۪ۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Wadda katheerun min ahli alkitabilaw yaruddoonakum min baAAdi eemanikum kuffaran hasadanmin AAindi anfusihim min baAAdi ma tabayyana lahumu alhaqqufaAAfoo wasfahoo hattaya/tiya Allahu bi-amrihi inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeer Many among the doctors of the Law wish to turn you back as atheists after your faith out of envy from their souls after the truth has become clear to them. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 140 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَهُۥ — ʿindahu · "(that) he has" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اَمْ تَقُولُونَ اِنَّ اِبْرٰه۪يمَ وَاِسْمٰع۪يلَ وَاِسْحٰقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ وَالْاَسْبَاطَ كَانُوا هُوداً اَوْ نَصَارٰىۜ قُلْ ءَاَنْتُمْ اَعْلَمُ اَمِ اللّٰهُۜ وَمَنْ اَظْلَمُ مِمَّنْ كَتَمَ شَهَادَةً عِنْدَهُ مِنَ اللّٰهِۜ وَمَا اللّٰهُ بِغَافِلٍ عَمَّا تَعْمَلُونَ Am taqooloona inna ibraheema wa-ismaAAeelawa-ishaqa wayaAAqooba wal-asbata kanoohoodan aw nasara qul aantum aAAlamu ami Allahuwaman athlamu mimman katama shahadatanAAindahu mina Allahi wama Allahu bighafilinAAamma taAAmaloon If you say that Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac, and Jacob and the Grandsons were such as hold to Judaism or Christians, say thou: “Know you better, or does God?” And who is more unjust than he who conceals a witness he has from God? Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 191 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case وَاقْتُلُوهُمْ حَيْثُ ثَقِفْتُمُوهُمْ وَاَخْرِجُوهُمْ مِنْ حَيْثُ اَخْرَجُوكُمْ وَالْفِتْنَةُ اَشَدُّ مِنَ الْقَتْلِۚ وَلَا تُقَاتِلُوهُمْ عِنْدَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ حَتّٰى يُقَاتِلُوكُمْ ف۪يهِۚ فَاِنْ قَاتَلُوكُمْ فَاقْتُلُوهُمْۜ كَذٰلِكَ جَزَٓاءُ الْكَافِر۪ينَ Waqtuloohum haythuthaqiftumoohum waakhrijoohum min haythu akhrajookum walfitnatuashaddu mina alqatli wala tuqatiloohum AAindaalmasjidi alharami hatta yuqatilookumfeehi fa-in qatalookum faqtuloohum kathalikajazao alkafireen And kill them wheresoever you find them, and turn them out from wheresoever they turned you out; and means of denial is worse than killing. And fight them not in the inviolable place of worship until they fight you therein. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 198 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case لَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَنْ تَبْتَغُوا فَضْلاً مِنْ رَبِّكُمْۜ فَاِذَٓا اَفَضْتُمْ مِنْ عَرَفَاتٍ فَاذْكُرُوا اللّٰهَ عِنْدَ الْمَشْعَرِ الْحَرَامِۖ وَاذْكُرُوهُ كَمَا هَدٰيكُمْۚ وَاِنْ كُنْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلِه۪ لَمِنَ الضَّٓالّ۪ينَ Laysa AAalaykum junahun an tabtaghoofadlan min rabbikum fa-itha afadtum minAAarafatin fathkuroo Allaha AAindaalmashAAari alharami wathkuroohu kamahadakum wa-in kuntum min qablihi lamina addalleen You do no wrong to seek favour from your Lord. And when you pour forth from ʿArafāt, then remember God at Al-Mashʿar Al-Ḥarām. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 217 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ ف۪يهِۜ قُلْ قِتَالٌ ف۪يهِ كَب۪يرٌۜ وَصَدٌّ عَنْ سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِه۪ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَاِخْرَاجُ اَهْلِه۪ مِنْهُ اَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۚ وَالْفِتْنَةُ اَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِۜ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتّٰى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ د۪ينِكُمْ اِنِ اسْتَطَاعُواۜ وَمَنْ يَرْتَدِدْ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ د۪ينِه۪ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ اَصْحَابُ النَّارِۚ هُمْ ف۪يهَا خَـالِدُونَ Yas-aloonaka AAani ashshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi walmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi walfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee addunyawal-akhirati waola-ika as-habuannari hum feeha khalidoon They ask thee about the inviolable month, fighting therein; say thou: “Fighting therein is grave, but turning away from the path of God, and denial of Him and the inviolable place of worship, and the expulsion of its people therefrom is graver in the sight of God; and means of denial is worse than killing.” And they will not cease to fight you until they turn you from your doctrine, if they are able; and whoso among you turns from his doctrine, and dies a false claimer of guidance: those, their works are vain in the World and in the Hereafter; and those are the companions of the Fire; therein they abide eternally. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-217.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 255 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَهُۥٓ — ʿindahu · "with Him" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اَللّٰهُ لَٓا اِلٰهَ اِلَّا هُوَۚ اَلْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُۚ لَا تَأْخُذُهُ سِنَةٌ وَلَا نَوْمٌۜ لَهُ مَا فِي السَّمٰوَاتِ وَمَا فِي الْاَرْضِۜ مَنْ ذَا الَّذ۪ي يَشْفَعُ عِنْدَهُٓ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِه۪ۜ يَعْلَمُ مَا بَيْنَ اَيْد۪يهِمْ وَمَا خَلْفَهُمْۚ وَلَا يُح۪يطُونَ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ عِلْمِه۪ٓ اِلَّا بِمَا شَٓاءَۚ وَسِعَ كُرْسِيُّهُ السَّمٰوَاتِ وَالْاَرْضَۚ وَلَا يَؤُ۫دُهُ حِفْظُهُمَاۚ وَهُوَ الْعَلِيُّ الْعَظ۪يمُ Allahu la ilaha illahuwa alhayyu alqayyoomu la ta/khuthuhusinatun wala nawmun lahu ma fee assamawatiwama fee al-ardi man tha allatheeyashfaAAu AAindahu illa bi-ithnihi yaAAlamu mabayna aydeehim wama khalfahum wala yuheetoonabishay-in min AAilmihi illa bima shaawasiAAa kursiyyuhu assamawati wal-ardawala yaooduhu hifthuhumawahuwa alAAaliyyu alAAatheem God, there is no god save He, the Living, the Eternal. Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him; to Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth — who will intercede with Him save by His leave? He knows what is before them and what is after them, and they encompass not anything of His knowledge save what He wills. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 277 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "(is) with" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اِنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ وَاَقَامُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَوُا الزَّكٰوةَ لَهُمْ اَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْۚ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ Inna allatheena amanoowaAAamiloo assalihati waaqamoo assalatawaatawoo azzakata lahum ajruhum AAindarabbihim wala khawfun AAalayhim wala hum yahzanoon Those who heed warning and do righteous deeds, and uphold the duty, and render the purity: they have their reward with their Lord; and no fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-277.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 282 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا تَدَايَنْتُمْ بِدَيْنٍ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُۜ وَلْيَكْتُبْ بَيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِۖ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ اَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْۚ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّٰهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْـٔاًۜ فَاِنْ كَانَ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَف۪يهاً اَوْ ضَع۪يفاً اَوْ لَا يَسْتَط۪يعُ اَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِۜ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَه۪يدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْۚ فَاِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَاَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَٓاءِ اَنْ تَضِلَّ اِحْدٰيهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ اِحْدٰيهُمَا الْاُخْرٰىۜ وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَٓاءُ اِذَا مَا دُعُواۜ وَلَا تَسْـَٔمُٓوا اَنْ تَكْتُبُوهُ صَغ۪يراً اَوْ كَب۪يراً اِلٰٓى اَجَلِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكُمْ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَاَدْنٰٓى اَلَّا تَرْتَابُٓوا اِلَّٓا اَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُد۪يرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَلَّا تَكْتُبُوهَاۜ وَاَشْهِدُٓوا اِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْۖ وَلَا يُضَٓارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَه۪يدٌۜ وَاِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْۜ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللّٰهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tadayantum bidaynin ila ajalin musammanfaktuboohu walyaktub baynakum katibun bilAAadliwala ya/ba katibun an yaktuba kamaAAallamahu Allahu falyaktub walyumlili allatheeAAalayhi alhaqqu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu walayabkhas minhu shay-an fa-in kana allathee AAalayhialhaqqu safeehan aw daAAeefan aw la yastateeAAuan yumilla huwa falyumlil waliyyuhu bilAAadli wastashhidooshaheedayni min rijalikum fa-in lam yakoonarajulayni farajulun wamraatani mimman tardawnamina ashshuhada-i an tadilla ihdahumafatuthakkira ihdahuma al-okhrawala ya/ba ashshuhadao itha maduAAoo wala tas-amoo an taktuboohu sagheeran awkabeeran ila ajalihi thalikum aqsatu AAindaAllahi waaqwamu lishshahadati waadnaalla tartaboo illa an takoona tijaratanhadiratan tudeeroonaha baynakum falaysa AAalaykumjunahun alla taktubooha waashhidoo ithatabayaAAtum wala yudarra katibun walashaheedun wa-in tafAAaloo fa-innahu fusooqun bikum wattaqooAllaha wayuAAallimukumu Allahu wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem O you who heed warning: when you contract a debt together to a stated term: write it down, and let a writer write it down between you justly; and let not a writer refuse to write it down as God has taught him; so let him write, and let the debtor dictate, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord, and diminish nothing thereof. But if the debtor be incompetent, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then his ally shall dictate justly. And call to witness two witnesses from among your men; but if there be not two men, then a man and two women among those you approve as witnesses, that should one of them err, one of them might remind the other; and let not the witnesses refuse when they are called. And be not weary of writing it, small or great, with its term (that is more just in the sight of God, and more upright for witness, and likelier that there will be no doubt between you) save if it be present trade that you transact among you; then you do no wrong that you write it not down. And take witnesses when you enter into contract. And let not a writer or witness be harmed. And if you do, then is it perfidy among you. And be in prudent fear of God. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 7 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "from" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case هُوَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ اٰيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ اُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَاُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌۜ فَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَٓاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَٓاءَ تَأْو۪يلِه۪ۚ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْو۪يلَهُٓ اِلَّا اللّٰهُۢ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ اٰمَنَّا بِه۪ۙ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَاۚ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ اِلَّٓا اُو۬لُوا الْاَلْبَابِ Huwa allathee anzala AAalayka alkitabaminhu ayatun muhkamatun hunna ommualkitabi waokharu mutashabihatun faammaallatheena fee quloobihim zayghun fayattabiAAoona matashabaha minhu ibtighaa alfitnati wabtighaata/weelihi wama yaAAlamu ta/weelahu illa Allahuwarrasikhoona fee alAAilmi yaqooloona amannabihi kullun min AAindi rabbina wama yaththakkaruilla oloo al-albab He it is that sent down upon thee the Writ; among it are explicit proofs: they are the foundation of the Writ; and others are ambiguous. Then as for those in whose hearts is deviation: they follow what is ambiguous thereof, seeking the means of denial, and seeking its interpretation. And no one knows its interpretation save God, and those firm in knowledge; they say: “We believe in it; all is from our Lord.” But only those of insight take heed. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-7.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 15 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "with" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case قُلْ اَؤُ۬نَبِّئُكُمْ بِخَيْرٍ مِنْ ذٰلِكُمْۜ لِلَّذ۪ينَ اتَّقَوْا عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ جَنَّاتٌ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُ خَالِد۪ينَ ف۪يهَا وَاَزْوَاجٌ مُطَهَّرَةٌ وَرِضْوَانٌ مِنَ اللّٰهِۜ وَاللّٰهُ بَص۪يرٌ بِالْعِبَادِۚ Qul aonabbi-okum bikhayrin min thalikumlillatheena ittaqaw AAinda rabbihim jannatun tajreemin tahtiha al-anharu khalideena feehawaazwajun mutahharatun waridwanunmina Allahi wallahu baseerun bilAAibad Say thou: “Shall I inform you of better than that? Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 19 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اِنَّ الدّ۪ينَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ الْاِسْلَامُ۠ وَمَا اخْتَلَفَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ اِلَّا مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَٓاءَهُمُ الْعِلْمُ بَغْياً بَيْنَهُمْۜ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِاٰيَاتِ اللّٰهِ فَاِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَر۪يعُ الْحِسَابِ Inna addeena AAinda Allahial-islamu wama ikhtalafa allatheena ootooalkitaba illa min baAAdi ma jaahumualAAilmu baghyan baynahum waman yakfur bi-ayati Allahifa-inna Allaha sareeAAu alhisab The doctrine with God is submission. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 37 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَهَا — ʿindahā · "with her" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case فَتَقَبَّلَهَا رَبُّهَا بِقَبُولٍ حَسَنٍ وَاَنْبَتَهَا نَبَاتاً حَسَناًۙ وَكَفَّلَهَا زَكَرِيَّاۜ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا زَكَرِيَّا الْمِحْرَابَۙ وَجَدَ عِنْدَهَا رِزْقاًۚ قَالَ يَا مَرْيَمُ اَنّٰى لَكِ هٰذَاۜ قَالَتْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَرْزُقُ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ Fataqabbalaha rabbuhabiqaboolin hasanin waanbataha nabatan hasananwakaffalaha zakariyya kullama dakhalaAAalayha zakariyya almihraba wajadaAAindaha rizqan qala ya maryamu annalaki hatha qalat huwa min AAindi Allahi innaAllaha yarzuqu man yashao bighayri hisab So her Lord accepted her with a comely acceptance, and caused her to grow with a comely growth, and placed her in the charge of Zachariah. Whenever Zachariah entered upon her in the chamber, he found with her provision. He said: “O Mary: whence comes this to thee?” She said: “It is from God; God gives provision to whom He wills without reckoning.” _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-37.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 73 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case وَلَا تُؤْمِنُٓوا اِلَّا لِمَنْ تَبِـعَ د۪ينَكُمْۜ قُلْ اِنَّ الْهُدٰى هُدَى اللّٰهِۙ اَنْ يُؤْتٰٓى اَحَدٌ مِثْلَ مَٓا اُو۫ت۪يتُمْ اَوْ يُحَٓاجُّوكُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّكُمْۜ قُلْ اِنَّ الْفَضْلَ بِيَدِ اللّٰهِۚ يُؤْت۪يهِ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ وَاللّٰهُ وَاسِعٌ عَل۪يمٌۚ Wala tu/minoo illa limantabiAAa deenakum qul inna alhuda huda Allahian yu/ta ahadun mithla ma ooteetum aw yuhajjookumAAinda rabbikum qul inna alfadla biyadi Allahiyu/teehi man yashao wallahu wasiAAunAAaleem “And believe not save him who follows your doctrine.” Say thou: “Guidance is the guidance of God, that one be given the like of what you have been given.” Or would they argue with you before your Lord? Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 78 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "from" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case وَاِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَر۪يقاً يَلْوُ۫نَ اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتَابِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِۚ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۚ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ Wa-inna minhum lafareeqan yalwoonaalsinatahum bilkitabi litahsaboohu minaalkitabi wama huwa mina alkitabiwayaqooloona huwa min AAindi Allahi wama huwa minAAindi Allahi wayaqooloona AAala Allahi alkathibawahum yaAAlamoon And among them a faction distorts the Writ with their tongues, that you might think it from the Writ, but it is not from the Writ. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 78 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "from" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case وَاِنَّ مِنْهُمْ لَفَر۪يقاً يَلْوُ۫نَ اَلْسِنَتَهُمْ بِالْكِتَابِ لِتَحْسَبُوهُ مِنَ الْكِتَابِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنَ الْكِتَابِۚ وَيَقُولُونَ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِ وَمَا هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۚ وَيَقُولُونَ عَلَى اللّٰهِ الْكَذِبَ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ Wa-inna minhum lafareeqan yalwoonaalsinatahum bilkitabi litahsaboohu minaalkitabi wama huwa mina alkitabiwayaqooloona huwa min AAindi Allahi wama huwa minAAindi Allahi wayaqooloona AAala Allahi alkathibawahum yaAAlamoon And among them a faction distorts the Writ with their tongues, that you might think it from the Writ, but it is not from the Writ. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 156 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَنَا — ʿindanā · "with us" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا لَا تَكُونُوا كَالَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا وَقَالُوا لِاِخْوَانِهِمْ اِذَا ضَرَبُوا فِي الْاَرْضِ اَوْ كَانُوا غُزًّى لَوْ كَانُوا عِنْدَنَا مَا مَاتُوا وَمَا قُتِلُواۚ لِيَجْعَلَ اللّٰهُ ذٰلِكَ حَسْرَةً ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ يُحْـي۪ وَيُم۪يتُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ بَص۪يرٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanoola takoonoo kallatheena kafaroo waqalooli-ikhwanihim itha daraboo fee al-ardiaw kanoo ghuzzan law kanoo AAindana mamatoo wama qutiloo liyajAAala Allahu thalikahasratan fee quloobihim wallahu yuhyeewayumeetu wallahu bima taAAmaloona baseer O you who heed warning: be not like those who ignore warning, and say of their brothers when they travel in the earth or are on an expedition: “Had they been with us, they would not have died or been killed,” that God might make that a sorrow in their hearts; for God gives life, and gives death; and God sees what you do. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-156.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 165 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "from" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case اَوَلَمَّٓا اَصَابَتْكُمْ مُص۪يبَةٌ قَدْ اَصَبْتُمْ مِثْلَيْهَاۙ قُلْتُمْ اَنّٰى هٰذَاۜ قُلْ هُوَ مِنْ عِنْدِ اَنْفُسِكُمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ عَلٰى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَد۪يرٌ Awa lamma asabatkum museebatunqad asabtum mithlayha qultum anna hathaqul huwa min AAindi anfusikum inna Allaha AAalakulli shay-in qadeer Do you not say, when calamity has befallen you — you having caused the double thereof: — “Whence is this?” Say thou: “It is from yourselves; God is over all things powerful.” _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-165.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 169 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "near" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذ۪ينَ قُتِلُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ اَمْوَاتاًۜ بَلْ اَحْيَٓاءٌ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَۙ Wala tahsabanna allatheenaqutiloo fee sabeeli Allahi amwatan bal ahyaonAAinda rabbihim yurzaqoon And think not of those who are killed in the cause of God as dead; nay, they are alive, with their Lord receiving provision, _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-169.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 195 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "[near]" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case فَاسْتَجَابَ لَهُمْ رَبُّهُمْ اَنّ۪ي لَٓا اُض۪يعُ عَمَلَ عَامِلٍ مِنْكُمْ مِنْ ذَكَرٍ اَوْ اُنْثٰىۚ بَعْضُكُمْ مِنْ بَعْضٍۚ فَالَّذ۪ينَ هَاجَرُوا وَاُخْرِجُوا مِنْ دِيَارِهِمْ وَاُو۫ذُوا ف۪ي سَب۪يل۪ي وَقَاتَلُوا وَقُتِلُوا لَاُكَفِّرَنَّ عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَاُدْخِلَنَّهُمْ جَنَّاتٍ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهَا الْاَنْهَارُۚ ثَوَاباً مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ وَاللّٰهُ عِنْدَهُ حُسْنُ الثَّوَابِ Fastajaba lahum rabbuhumannee la odeeAAu AAamala AAamilin minkum minthakarin aw ontha baAAdukum min baAAdinfallatheena hajaroo waokhrijoo min diyarihimwaoothoo fee sabeelee waqataloo waqutiloolaokaffiranna AAanhum sayyi-atihim walaodkhilannahum jannatintajree min tahtiha al-anharu thawabanmin AAindi Allahi wallahu AAindahu husnuaththawab And their Lord responded to them: “I cause not to be lost the work of any that works among you, male or female; you are of one another.” And those who emigrated and were turned out of their homes, and were hindered in My cause, and fought and were killed: I will remove from them their evil deeds, and I will make them enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, as a reward from God; and God, with Him is the best of rewards. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-195.md_ ### 3. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 78 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِ — ʿindi · "from" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case اَيْنَ مَا تَكُونُوا يُدْرِكْكُمُ الْمَوْتُ وَلَوْ كُنْتُمْ ف۪ي بُرُوجٍ مُشَيَّدَةٍۜ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ حَسَنَةٌ يَقُولُوا هٰذِه۪ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۚ وَاِنْ تُصِبْهُمْ سَيِّئَةٌ يَقُولُوا هٰذِه۪ مِنْ عِنْدِكَۜ قُلْ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ اللّٰهِۜ فَمَالِ هٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ الْقَوْمِ لَا يَكَادُونَ يَفْقَهُونَ حَد۪يثاً Aynama takoonoo yudrikkumu almawtuwalaw kuntum fee buroojin mushayyadatin wa-in tusibhum hasanatunyaqooloo hathihi min AAindi Allahi wa-in tusibhumsayyi-atun yaqooloo hathihi min AAindika qul kullun minAAindi Allahi famali haola-i alqawmila yakadoona yafqahoona hadeetha Wherever you be, death will overtake you, though you be in castles built high. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 94 - **Form in this verse:** فَعِندَ — faʿinda · "for with" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا ضَرَبْتُمْ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ فَتَبَيَّنُوا وَلَا تَقُولُوا لِمَنْ اَلْقٰٓى اِلَيْكُمُ السَّلَامَ لَسْتَ مُؤْمِناًۚ تَبْتَغُونَ عَرَضَ الْحَيٰوةِ الدُّنْيَاۘ فَعِنْدَ اللّٰهِ مَغَانِمُ كَث۪يرَةٌۜ كَذٰلِكَ كُنْتُمْ مِنْ قَبْلُ فَمَنَّ اللّٰهُ عَلَيْكُمْ فَتَبَيَّنُواۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ كَانَ بِمَا تَعْمَلُونَ خَب۪يراً Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha darabtum fee sabeeli Allahifatabayyanoo wala taqooloo liman alqa ilaykumu assalamalasta mu/minan tabtaghoona AAarada alhayatiaddunya faAAinda Allahi maghanimukatheeratun kathalika kuntum min qablu famanna AllahuAAalaykum fatabayyanoo inna Allaha kana bimataAAmaloona khabeera O you who heed warning: when you go forth in the cause of God, verify; and say not to one who offers you peace: “Thou art not a believer,” seeking the transitory things of the life of this world; for with God are many spoils. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 139 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَهُمُ — ʿindahumu · "with them" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اَلَّذ۪ينَ يَتَّخِذُونَ الْكَافِر۪ينَ اَوْلِيَٓاءَ مِنْ دُونِ الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَۜ اَيَبْتَغُونَ عِنْدَهُمُ الْعِزَّةَ فَاِنَّ الْعِزَّةَ لِلّٰهِ جَم۪يعاًۜ Allatheena yattakhithoona alkafireenaawliyaa min dooni almu/mineena ayabtaghoona AAindahumualAAizzata fa-inna alAAizzata lillahi jameeAAa Those who take the false claimers of guidance as allies rather than the believers, do they seek with them power and glory? Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 43 - **Form in this verse:** وَعِندَهُمُ — waʿindahumu · "while they (have) with them" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case وَكَيْفَ يُحَكِّمُونَكَ وَعِنْدَهُمُ التَّوْرٰيةُ ف۪يهَا حُكْمُ اللّٰهِ ثُمَّ يَتَوَلَّوْنَ مِنْ بَعْدِ ذٰلِكَۜ وَمَٓا اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ بِالْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ۟ Wakayfa yuhakkimoonaka waAAindahumu attawratufeeha hukmu Allahi thumma yatawallawna minbaAAdi thalika wama ola-ika bilmu/mineen And how come they to thee for judgment when they have the Torah wherein is the judgment of God, then turn away after that? Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 52 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِهِۦ — ʿindihi · "(of) Him" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case فَتَرَى الَّذ۪ينَ ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْ مَرَضٌ يُسَارِعُونَ ف۪يهِمْ يَقُولُونَ نَخْشٰٓى اَنْ تُص۪يبَنَا دَٓائِرَةٌۜ فَعَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنْ يَأْتِيَ بِالْفَتْحِ اَوْ اَمْرٍ مِنْ عِنْدِه۪ فَيُصْبِحُوا عَلٰى مَٓا اَسَرُّوا ف۪ٓي اَنْفُسِهِمْ نَادِم۪ينَۜ Fatara allatheena feequloobihim maradun yusariAAoona feehim yaqooloonanakhsha an tuseebana da-iratun faAAasaAllahu an ya/tiya bilfathi aw amrin minAAindihi fayusbihoo AAala ma asarroofee anfusihim nadimeen And thou seest those in whose hearts is disease competing among them, saying: “We fear lest a reversal befall us.” But it may be that God will bring victory or a command from Him and they will become of what they concealed within their souls, remorseful. _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-52.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 50 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِى — ʿindī · "(that) with me" - **Grammar:** adverb of place قُلْ لَٓا اَقُولُ لَكُمْ عِنْد۪ي خَزَٓائِنُ اللّٰهِ وَلَٓا اَعْلَمُ الْغَيْبَ وَلَٓا اَقُولُ لَكُمْ اِنّ۪ي مَلَكٌۚ اِنْ اَتَّبِعُ اِلَّا مَا يُوحٰٓى اِلَيَّۜ قُلْ هَلْ يَسْتَوِي الْاَعْمٰى وَالْبَص۪يرُۜ اَفَلَا تَتَفَكَّرُونَ۟ Qul la aqoolu lakum AAindee khaza-inuAllahi wala aAAlamu alghayba wala aqoolulakum innee malakun in attabiAAu illa ma yoohailayya qul hal yastawee al-aAAma walbaseeruafala tatafakkaroon Say thou: “I say not to you: ‘I possess the treasuries of God,’ or: ‘I know the Unseen,’ nor do I say to you: ‘I am an angel.’ I follow only what is revealed to me.” Say thou: “Are the blind and the seeing equal?” Will you then not take thought! _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-50.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 57 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِى — ʿindī · "I have" - **Grammar:** adverb of place قُلْ اِنّ۪ي عَلٰى بَيِّنَةٍ مِنْ رَبّ۪ي وَكَذَّبْتُمْ بِه۪ۜ مَا عِنْد۪ي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِه۪ۜ اِنِ الْحُكْمُ اِلَّا لِلّٰهِۜ يَقُصُّ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ خَيْرُ الْفَاصِل۪ينَ Qul innee AAala bayyinatin min rabbeewakaththabtum bihi ma AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi ini alhukmu illa lillahiyaqussu alhaqqa wahuwa khayru alfasileen Say thou: “I am upon clear evidence from my Lord, and you have denied it. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 58 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِى — ʿindī · "(were) with me" - **Grammar:** adverb of place قُلْ لَوْ اَنَّ عِنْد۪ي مَا تَسْتَعْجِلُونَ بِه۪ لَقُضِيَ الْاَمْرُ بَيْن۪ي وَبَيْنَكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ اَعْلَمُ بِالظَّالِم۪ينَ Qul law anna AAindee matastaAAjiloona bihi laqudiya al-amru baynee wabaynakum wallahuaAAlamu biththalimeen Say thou: “Had I what you seek to hasten, the matter would have been concluded between me and you; and God best knows the wrongdoers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-58.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 109 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَ — ʿinda · "(are) with" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case وَاَقْسَمُوا بِاللّٰهِ جَهْدَ اَيْمَانِهِمْ لَئِنْ جَٓاءَتْهُمْ اٰيَةٌ لَيُؤْمِنُنَّ بِهَاۜ قُلْ اِنَّمَا الْاٰيَاتُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَمَا يُشْعِرُكُمْۙ اَنَّـهَٓا اِذَا جَٓاءَتْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ Waaqsamoo billahi jahda aymanihimla-in jaat-hum ayatun layu/minunna biha qulinnama al-ayatu AAinda Allahi wamayushAAirukum annaha itha jaat layu/minoon And they swore by God their strongest oaths that if a proof came to them they would believe in it. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 148 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَكُم — ʿindakum · "with you" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case سَيَقُولُ الَّذ۪ينَ اَشْرَكُوا لَوْ شَٓاءَ اللّٰهُ مَٓا اَشْرَكْنَا وَلَٓا اٰبَٓاؤُ۬نَا وَلَا حَرَّمْنَا مِنْ شَيْءٍۜ كَذٰلِكَ كَذَّبَ الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ حَتّٰى ذَاقُوا بَأْسَنَاۜ قُلْ هَلْ عِنْدَكُمْ مِنْ عِلْمٍ فَتُخْرِجُوهُ لَنَاۜ اِنْ تَتَّبِعُونَ اِلَّا الظَّنَّ وَاِنْ اَنْتُمْ اِلَّا تَخْرُصُونَ Sayaqoolu allatheena ashrakoo law shaaAllahu ma ashrakna wala abaonawala harramna min shay-in kathalikakaththaba allatheena min qablihim hattathaqoo ba/sana qul hal AAindakum min AAilminfatukhrijoohu lana in tattabiAAoona illa aththannawa-in antum illa takhrusoon Those who ascribe a partnership will say: “Had God willed, we would not have ascribed a partnership, nor would our fathers, nor would we have made anything unlawful.” Thus did those who were before them deny until they tasted Our might. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 157 - **Form in this verse:** عِندَهُمْ — ʿindahum · "with them" - **Grammar:** adverb of place · accusative case اَلَّذ۪ينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ الرَّسُولَ النَّبِيَّ الْاُمِّيَّ الَّذ۪ي يَجِدُونَهُ مَكْتُوباً عِنْدَهُمْ فِي التَّوْرٰيةِ وَالْاِنْج۪يلِۘ يَأْمُرُهُمْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهٰيهُمْ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ الْخَبَٓائِثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ اِصْرَهُمْ وَالْاَغْلَالَ الَّت۪ي كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْۜ فَالَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا بِه۪ وَعَزَّرُوهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ وَاتَّبَعُوا النُّورَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اُنْزِلَ مَعَهُٓۙ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ۟ Allatheena yattabiAAoona arrasoolaannabiyya al-ommiyya allathee yajidoonahumaktooban AAindahum fee attawrati wal-injeeliya/muruhum bilmaAAroofi wayanhahum AAani almunkariwayuhillu lahumu attayyibati wayuharrimuAAalayhimu alkhaba-itha wayadaAAu AAanhum israhumwal-aghlala allatee kanat AAalayhim fallatheenaamanoo bihi waAAazzaroohu wanasaroohu wattabaAAooannoora allathee onzila maAAahu ola-ikahumu almuflihoon “Those who follow the Messenger, the unschooled prophet, whom they find written with them in the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins on them what is fitting and forbids them perversity, and making lawful for them the good things, and making unlawful for them the bad, and relieving them of their burden and the fetters that were upon them — those who believed in him, and supported him, and helped him, and followed the light which was sent down with him: it is they who are the successful.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-157.md_ ### 7. It weighs heavily in the heavens and the earth; it comes not upon you save unexpectedly.” They ask thee as though thou wert privy thereto; say thou: “Knowledge thereof is but with God”; but most men know not. _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-187.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 32 - **Form in this verse:** عِندِكَ — ʿindika · "from You" - **Grammar:** noun · genitive case وَاِذْ قَالُوا اللّٰهُمَّ اِنْ كَانَ هٰذَا هُوَ الْحَقَّ مِنْ عِنْدِكَ فَاَمْطِرْ عَلَيْنَا حِجَارَةً مِنَ السَّمَٓاءِ اَوِ ائْتِنَا بِعَذَابٍ اَل۪يمٍ Wa-ith qaloo allahummain kana hatha huwa alhaqqa min AAindika faamtirAAalayna hijaratan mina assama-iawi i/tina biAAathabin aleem And when they say: “O God: if this be the truth from Thee, then rain Thou down upon us stones from the sky, or bring Thou us a painful punishment!” _https://quran.so/surah-al-anfal/verse-32.md_ ### 8. He is the Free from Need; to Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is in the earth!
