Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 102 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ — l-ākhirati · "the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case وَاتَّـبَعُوا مَا تَتْلُوا الشَّيَاط۪ينُ عَلٰى مُلْكِ سُلَيْمٰنَۚ وَمَا كَفَرَ سُلَيْمٰنُ وَلٰكِنَّ الشَّيَاط۪ينَ كَفَرُوا يُعَلِّمُونَ النَّاسَ السِّحْرَۗ وَمَٓا اُنْزِلَ عَلَى الْمَلَكَيْنِ بِبَابِلَ هَارُوتَ وَمَارُوتَۜ وَمَا يُعَلِّمَانِ مِنْ اَحَدٍ حَتّٰى يَقُولَٓا اِنَّمَا نَحْنُ فِتْنَةٌ فَلَا تَكْفُرْۜ فَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مِنْهُمَا مَا يُفَرِّقُونَ بِه۪ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَزَوْجِه۪ۜ وَمَا هُمْ بِضَٓارّ۪ينَ بِه۪ مِنْ اَحَدٍ اِلَّا بِاِذْنِ اللّٰهِۜ وَيَتَعَلَّمُونَ مَا يَضُرُّهُمْ وَلَا يَنْفَعُهُمْۜ وَلَقَدْ عَلِمُوا لَمَنِ اشْتَرٰيهُ مَا لَهُ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنْ خَلَاقٍ۠ وَلَبِئْسَ مَا شَرَوْا بِه۪ٓ اَنْفُسَهُمْۜ لَوْ كَانُوا يَعْلَمُونَ WattabaAAoo ma tatloo ashshayateenuAAala mulki sulaymana wama kafara sulaymanuwalakinna ashshayateena kafarooyuAAallimoona annasa assihra wamaonzila AAala almalakayni bibabila harootawamaroota wama yuAAallimani min ahadinhatta yaqoola innama nahnufitnatun fala takfur fayataAAallamoona minhuma mayufarriqoona bihi bayna almar-i wazawjihi wama hum bidarreenabihi min ahadin illa bi-ithni AllahiwayataAAallamoona ma yadurruhum walayanfaAAuhum walaqad AAalimoo lamani ishtarahu malahu fee al-akhirati min khalaqin walabi/sa masharaw bihi anfusahum law kanoo yaAAlamoon And they followed what the satans recited during the reign of Solomon; and Solomon denied not; but the satans denied, teaching men sorcery, and what was sent down upon the two angels at Babylon, Hārūt and Mārūt. And they taught no one until they had said: “We are but a means of denial, so deny thou not.” Then from them they learn that by which they cause division between a man and his wife; but they harm no one thereby save by the leave of God. And they learn what harms them, and profits them not, knowing well that whoso buys it has in the Hereafter no share; and evil is that for which they sold their souls, had they but known. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-102.md_ ### 2. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 177 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ — l-ākhiri · "[the] Last" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, singular · genitive case لَيْسَ الْبِرَّ اَنْ تُوَلُّوا وُجُوهَكُمْ قِبَلَ الْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ وَلٰكِنَّ الْبِرَّ مَنْ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَالْمَلٰٓئِكَةِ وَالْكِتَابِ وَالنَّبِيّ۪نَۚ وَاٰتَى الْمَالَ عَلٰى حُبِّه۪ ذَوِي الْقُرْبٰى وَالْيَتَامٰى وَالْمَسَاك۪ينَ وَابْنَ السَّب۪يلِ وَالسَّٓائِل۪ينَ وَفِي الرِّقَابِۚ وَاَقَامَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتَى الزَّكٰوةَۚ وَالْمُوفُونَ بِعَهْدِهِمْ اِذَا عَاهَدُواۚ وَالصَّابِر۪ينَ فِي الْبَأْسَٓاءِ وَالضَّرَّٓاءِ وَح۪ينَ الْبَأْسِۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ صَدَقُواۜ وَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْمُتَّقُونَ Laysa albirra an tuwalloo wujoohakum qibalaalmashriqi walmaghribi walakinna albirra man amanabillahi walyawmi al-akhiri walmala-ikatiwalkitabi wannabiyyeena waataalmala AAala hubbihi thawee alqurbawalyatama walmasakeena wabnaalssabeeli wassa-ileena wafee arriqabiwaaqama assalata waataazzakata walmoofoona biAAahdihim ithaAAahadoo wassabireena fee alba/sa-iwaddarra-i waheena alba/si ola-ikaallatheena sadaqoo waola-ika humualmuttaqoon It is not virtue that you turn your faces towards the East and the West. But virtue is: one who believes in God, and the Last Day, and the angels, and the Writ, and the prophets, and gives wealth in spite of love of it to relatives, and the fatherless, and the needy, and the wayfarer, and those who ask, and to manumit slaves; and who upholds the duty, and renders the purity; and those who keep their covenant when they make a covenant; and the patient in affliction and adversity, and during conflict: those are they who are sincere; and it is they who are those of prudent fear. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-177.md_ ### 2. And whoso among you is sick or on a journey: then a number of other days. And for those who are able to do it is a redemption: feeding a needy person. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 185 - **Form in this verse:** أُخَرَ ۗ — ukhara · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · feminine, plural · genitive case شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذ۪ٓي اُنْزِلَ ف۪يهِ الْقُرْاٰنُ هُدًى لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدٰى وَالْفُرْقَانِۚ فَمَنْ شَهِدَ مِنْكُمُ الشَّهْرَ فَلْيَصُمْهُۜ وَمَنْ كَانَ مَر۪يضاً اَوْ عَلٰى سَفَرٍ فَعِدَّةٌ مِنْ اَيَّامٍ اُخَرَۜ يُر۪يدُ اللّٰهُ بِكُمُ الْيُسْرَ وَلَا يُر۪يدُ بِكُمُ الْعُسْرَۘ وَلِتُكْمِلُوا الْعِدَّةَ وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللّٰهَ عَلٰى مَا هَدٰيكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ Shahru ramadana allatheeonzila feehi alqur-anu hudan linnasiwabayyinatin mina alhuda walfurqanifaman shahida minkumu ashshahra falyasumhu waman kanamareedan aw AAala safarin faAAiddatun min ayyaminokhara yureedu Allahu bikumu alyusra wala yureedubikumu alAAusra walitukmiloo alAAiddata walitukabbiroo AllahaAAala ma hadakum walaAAallakum tashkuroon A moon of scorching heat was that in which the Qur’an was sent down, a guidance for mankind, and clear signs of the guidance and the Division[...]. So whoso among you witnesses the moon, let him fast in it. And whoso of you is sick or on a journey: then a number of other days. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 217 - **Form in this verse:** وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ — wal-ākhirati · "and the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case يَسْـَٔلُونَكَ عَنِ الشَّهْرِ الْحَرَامِ قِتَالٍ ف۪يهِۜ قُلْ قِتَالٌ ف۪يهِ كَب۪يرٌۜ وَصَدٌّ عَنْ سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَكُفْرٌ بِه۪ وَالْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ وَاِخْرَاجُ اَهْلِه۪ مِنْهُ اَكْبَرُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۚ وَالْفِتْنَةُ اَكْبَرُ مِنَ الْقَتْلِۜ وَلَا يَزَالُونَ يُقَاتِلُونَكُمْ حَتّٰى يَرُدُّوكُمْ عَنْ د۪ينِكُمْ اِنِ اسْتَطَاعُواۜ وَمَنْ يَرْتَدِدْ مِنْكُمْ عَنْ د۪ينِه۪ فَيَمُتْ وَهُوَ كَافِرٌ فَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ اَصْحَابُ النَّارِۚ هُمْ ف۪يهَا خَـالِدُونَ Yas-aloonaka AAani ashshahri alharamiqitalin feehi qul qitalun feehi kabeerun wasaddunAAan sabeeli Allahi wakufrun bihi walmasjidi alharamiwa-ikhraju ahlihi minhu akbaru AAinda Allahi walfitnatuakbaru mina alqatli wala yazaloona yuqatiloonakumhatta yaruddookum AAan deenikum ini istataAAoowaman yartadid minkum AAan deenihi fayamut wahuwa kafirunfaola-ika habitat aAAmaluhum fee addunyawal-akhirati waola-ika as-habuannari hum feeha khalidoon They ask thee about the inviolable month, fighting therein; say thou: “Fighting therein is grave, but turning away from the path of God, and denial of Him and the inviolable place of worship, and the expulsion of its people therefrom is graver in the sight of God; and means of denial is worse than killing.” And they will not cease to fight you until they turn you from your doctrine, if they are able; and whoso among you turns from his doctrine, and dies a false claimer of guidance: those, their works are vain in the World and in the Hereafter; and those are the companions of the Fire; therein they abide eternally. _https://quran.so/surah-al-baqarah/verse-217.md_ ### 2. And they ask thee about the fatherless. Say thou: “Improvement for them is best.” And if you associate with them, then are they your brothers. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 228 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ ۚ — l-ākhiri · "[the] Last" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, singular · genitive case وَالْمُطَلَّقَاتُ يَتَرَبَّصْنَ بِاَنْفُسِهِنَّ ثَلٰثَةَ قُرُٓوءٍۜ وَلَا يَحِلُّ لَهُنَّ اَنْ يَكْتُمْنَ مَا خَلَقَ اللّٰهُ ف۪ٓي اَرْحَامِهِنَّ اِنْ كُنَّ يُؤْمِنَّ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِۜ وَبُعُولَتُهُنَّ اَحَقُّ بِرَدِّهِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ اِنْ اَرَادُٓوا اِصْلَاحاًۜ وَلَهُنَّ مِثْلُ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِۖ وَلِلرِّجَالِ عَلَيْهِنَّ دَرَجَةٌۜ وَاللّٰهُ عَز۪يزٌ حَك۪يمٌ۟ Walmutallaqatuyatarabbasna bi-anfusihinna thalathata quroo-in walayahillu lahunna an yaktumna ma khalaqa Allahufee arhamihinna in kunna yu/minna billahiwalyawmi al-akhiri wabuAAoolatuhunna ahaqqubiraddihinna fee thalika in aradoo islahanwalahunna mithlu allathee AAalayhinna bilmaAAroofiwalirrijali AAalayhinna darajatun wallahuAAazeezun hakeem And divorced women shall wait by themselves three menstrual courses; and it is not lawful for them to conceal what God has created in their wombs, if they believe in God and the Last Day. And their husbands are worthier to take them back during that if they desire right ordering. And due to women is the like of what is due from them, according to what is fitting, but men have a degree over them. Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 282 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْأُخْرَىٰ ۚ — l-ukh'rā · "the other" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · accusative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُٓوا اِذَا تَدَايَنْتُمْ بِدَيْنٍ اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ مُسَمًّى فَاكْتُبُوهُۜ وَلْيَكْتُبْ بَيْنَكُمْ كَاتِبٌ بِالْعَدْلِۖ وَلَا يَأْبَ كَاتِبٌ اَنْ يَكْتُبَ كَمَا عَلَّمَهُ اللّٰهُ فَلْيَكْتُبْۚ وَلْيُمْلِلِ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ وَلْيَتَّقِ اللّٰهَ رَبَّهُ وَلَا يَبْخَسْ مِنْهُ شَيْـٔاًۜ فَاِنْ كَانَ الَّذ۪ي عَلَيْهِ الْحَقُّ سَف۪يهاً اَوْ ضَع۪يفاً اَوْ لَا يَسْتَط۪يعُ اَنْ يُمِلَّ هُوَ فَلْيُمْلِلْ وَلِيُّهُ بِالْعَدْلِۜ وَاسْتَشْهِدُوا شَه۪يدَيْنِ مِنْ رِجَالِكُمْۚ فَاِنْ لَمْ يَكُونَا رَجُلَيْنِ فَرَجُلٌ وَامْرَاَتَانِ مِمَّنْ تَرْضَوْنَ مِنَ الشُّهَدَٓاءِ اَنْ تَضِلَّ اِحْدٰيهُمَا فَتُذَكِّرَ اِحْدٰيهُمَا الْاُخْرٰىۜ وَلَا يَأْبَ الشُّهَدَٓاءُ اِذَا مَا دُعُواۜ وَلَا تَسْـَٔمُٓوا اَنْ تَكْتُبُوهُ صَغ۪يراً اَوْ كَب۪يراً اِلٰٓى اَجَلِه۪ۜ ذٰلِكُمْ اَقْسَطُ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَاَقْوَمُ لِلشَّهَادَةِ وَاَدْنٰٓى اَلَّا تَرْتَابُٓوا اِلَّٓا اَنْ تَكُونَ تِجَارَةً حَاضِرَةً تُد۪يرُونَهَا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ اَلَّا تَكْتُبُوهَاۜ وَاَشْهِدُٓوا اِذَا تَبَايَعْتُمْۖ وَلَا يُضَٓارَّ كَاتِبٌ وَلَا شَه۪يدٌۜ وَاِنْ تَفْعَلُوا فَاِنَّهُ فُسُوقٌ بِكُمْۜ وَاتَّقُوا اللّٰهَۜ وَيُعَلِّمُكُمُ اللّٰهُۜ وَاللّٰهُ بِكُلِّ شَيْءٍ عَل۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooitha tadayantum bidaynin ila ajalin musammanfaktuboohu walyaktub baynakum katibun bilAAadliwala ya/ba katibun an yaktuba kamaAAallamahu Allahu falyaktub walyumlili allatheeAAalayhi alhaqqu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahu walayabkhas minhu shay-an fa-in kana allathee AAalayhialhaqqu safeehan aw daAAeefan aw la yastateeAAuan yumilla huwa falyumlil waliyyuhu bilAAadli wastashhidooshaheedayni min rijalikum fa-in lam yakoonarajulayni farajulun wamraatani mimman tardawnamina ashshuhada-i an tadilla ihdahumafatuthakkira ihdahuma al-okhrawala ya/ba ashshuhadao itha maduAAoo wala tas-amoo an taktuboohu sagheeran awkabeeran ila ajalihi thalikum aqsatu AAindaAllahi waaqwamu lishshahadati waadnaalla tartaboo illa an takoona tijaratanhadiratan tudeeroonaha baynakum falaysa AAalaykumjunahun alla taktubooha waashhidoo ithatabayaAAtum wala yudarra katibun walashaheedun wa-in tafAAaloo fa-innahu fusooqun bikum wattaqooAllaha wayuAAallimukumu Allahu wallahubikulli shay-in AAaleem O you who heed warning: when you contract a debt together to a stated term: write it down, and let a writer write it down between you justly; and let not a writer refuse to write it down as God has taught him; so let him write, and let the debtor dictate, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord, and diminish nothing thereof. But if the debtor be incompetent, or weak, or unable to dictate himself, then his ally shall dictate justly. And call to witness two witnesses from among your men; but if there be not two men, then a man and two women among those you approve as witnesses, that should one of them err, one of them might remind the other; and let not the witnesses refuse when they are called. And be not weary of writing it, small or great, with its term (that is more just in the sight of God, and more upright for witness, and likelier that there will be no doubt between you) save if it be present trade that you transact among you; then you do no wrong that you write it not down. And take witnesses when you enter into contract. And let not a writer or witness be harmed. And if you do, then is it perfidy among you. And be in prudent fear of God. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 7 - **Form in this verse:** وَأُخَرُ — wa-ukharu · "and others" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, plural · nominative case هُوَ الَّـذ۪ٓي اَنْزَلَ عَلَيْكَ الْكِتَابَ مِنْهُ اٰيَاتٌ مُحْكَمَاتٌ هُنَّ اُمُّ الْكِتَابِ وَاُخَرُ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌۜ فَاَمَّا الَّذ۪ينَ ف۪ي قُلُوبِهِمْ زَيْغٌ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ مَا تَشَابَهَ مِنْهُ ابْتِغَٓاءَ الْفِتْنَةِ وَابْتِغَٓاءَ تَأْو۪يلِه۪ۚ وَمَا يَعْلَمُ تَأْو۪يلَهُٓ اِلَّا اللّٰهُۢ وَالرَّاسِخُونَ فِي الْعِلْمِ يَقُولُونَ اٰمَنَّا بِه۪ۙ كُلٌّ مِنْ عِنْدِ رَبِّنَاۚ وَمَا يَذَّكَّرُ اِلَّٓا اُو۬لُوا الْاَلْبَابِ Huwa allathee anzala AAalayka alkitabaminhu ayatun muhkamatun hunna ommualkitabi waokharu mutashabihatun faammaallatheena fee quloobihim zayghun fayattabiAAoona matashabaha minhu ibtighaa alfitnati wabtighaata/weelihi wama yaAAlamu ta/weelahu illa Allahuwarrasikhoona fee alAAilmi yaqooloona amannabihi kullun min AAindi rabbina wama yaththakkaruilla oloo al-albab He it is that sent down upon thee the Writ; among it are explicit proofs: they are the foundation of the Writ; and others are ambiguous. Then as for those in whose hearts is deviation: they follow what is ambiguous thereof, seeking the means of denial, and seeking its interpretation. And no one knows its interpretation save God, and those firm in knowledge; they say: “We believe in it; all is from our Lord.” But only those of insight take heed. _https://quran.so/surah-ali-imran/verse-7.md_ ### 3. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 13 - **Form in this verse:** وَأُخْرَىٰ — wa-ukh'rā · "and another" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · nominative case قَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ اٰيَةٌ ف۪ي فِئَتَيْنِ الْتَقَتَاۜ فِئَةٌ تُقَاتِلُ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ وَاُخْرٰى كَافِرَةٌ يَرَوْنَهُمْ مِثْلَيْهِمْ رَأْيَ الْعَيْنِۜ وَاللّٰهُ يُؤَيِّدُ بِنَصْرِه۪ مَنْ يَشَٓاءُۜ اِنَّ ف۪ي ذٰلِكَ لَعِبْرَةً لِاُو۬لِي الْاَبْصَارِ Qad kana lakum ayatun feefi-atayni iltaqata fi-atun tuqatilu fee sabeeli Allahiwaokhra kafiratun yarawnahum mithlayhim ra/yaalAAayni wallahu yu-ayyidu binasrihi manyashao inna fee thalika laAAibratan li-olee al-absar There had been a proof for you in the two hosts which met: one host fighting in the cause of God, and another denying; they saw them as twice their like by the sight of the eye. Surah Ali 'Imran, Verse 152 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةَ ۚ — l-ākhirata · "the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · accusative case وَلَقَدْ صَدَقَكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَعْدَهُٓ اِذْ تَحُسُّونَهُمْ بِاِذْنِه۪ۚ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا فَشِلْتُمْ وَتَنَازَعْتُمْ فِي الْاَمْرِ وَعَصَيْتُمْ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَٓا اَرٰيكُمْ مَا تُحِبُّونَۜ مِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُر۪يدُ الدُّنْيَا وَمِنْكُمْ مَنْ يُر۪يدُ الْاٰخِرَةَۚ ثُمَّ صَرَفَكُمْ عَنْهُمْ لِيَبْتَلِيَكُمْۚ وَلَقَدْ عَفَا عَنْكُمْۜ وَاللّٰهُ ذُوفَضْلٍ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِن۪ينَ Walaqad sadaqakumu AllahuwaAAdahu ith tahussoonahum bi-ithnihi hattaitha fashiltum watanazaAAtum fee al-amri waAAasaytummin baAAdi ma arakum ma tuhibboonaminkum man yureedu addunya waminkum man yureedual-akhirata thumma sarafakum AAanhum liyabtaliyakumwalaqad AAafa AAankum wallahu thoofadlin AAala almu/mineen And God was indeed true in His promise to you. When you were aware of them by His leave, when you had lost heart and disputed concerning the affair, and rebelled after He had shown you what you love[...]. Among you is he who desires the World; and among you is he who desires the Hereafter. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 77 - **Form in this verse:** أَخَّرْتَنَآ — akhartanā · "You postpone (it for) us" - **Grammar:** verb · pattern of tef'il · 2nd person, masculine, singular · past tense اَلَمْ تَرَ اِلَى الَّذ۪ينَ ق۪يلَ لَهُمْ كُفُّٓوا اَيْدِيَكُمْ وَاَق۪يمُوا الصَّلٰوةَ وَاٰتُوا الزَّكٰوةَۚ فَلَمَّا كُتِبَ عَلَيْهِمُ الْقِتَالُ اِذَا فَر۪يقٌ مِنْهُمْ يَخْشَوْنَ النَّاسَ كَخَشْيَةِ اللّٰهِ اَوْ اَشَدَّ خَشْيَةًۚ وَقَالُوا رَبَّنَا لِمَ كَتَبْتَ عَلَيْنَا الْقِتَالَۚ لَوْلَٓا اَخَّرْتَنَٓا اِلٰٓى اَجَلٍ قَر۪يبٍۜ قُلْ مَتَاعُ الدُّنْيَا قَل۪يلٌۚ وَالْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِمَنِ اتَّقٰى وَلَا تُظْلَمُونَ فَت۪يلاً Alam tara ila allatheena qeelalahum kuffoo aydiyakum waaqeemoo assalatawaatoo azzakata falamma kutibaAAalayhimu alqitalu itha fareequn minhum yakhshawnaannasa kakhashyati Allahi aw ashaddakhashyatan waqaloo rabbana lima katabta AAalaynaalqitala lawla akhkhartana ila ajalinqareebin qul mataAAu addunya qaleelun wal-akhiratukhayrun limani ittaqa wala tuthlamoonafateela Hast thou not considered those to whom it was said: “Restrain your hands; and uphold the duty, and render the purity,” but when fighting is prescribed for them, then a faction among them fears men like the fear of God, or a stronger fear? And they said: “Our Lord: why hast Thou prescribed fighting for us? Oh, that Thou wouldst but delay us a little while!” Say thou: “Little is the enjoyment of the World”; and the Hereafter is better for him who is in prudent fear; and you will not be wronged a hair upon a date-stone. _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-77.md_ ### 4. Surah An-Nisa, Verse 102 - **Form in this verse:** أُخْرَىٰ — ukh'rā · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · feminine, singular · nominative case وَاِذَا كُنْتَ ف۪يهِمْ فَاَقَمْتَ لَهُمُ الصَّلٰوةَ فَلْتَقُمْ طَٓائِفَةٌ مِنْهُمْ مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُٓوا اَسْلِحَتَهُمْ۠ فَاِذَا سَجَدُوا فَلْيَكُونُوا مِنْ وَرَٓائِكُمْۖ وَلْتَأْتِ طَٓائِفَةٌ اُخْرٰى لَمْ يُصَلُّوا فَلْيُصَلُّوا مَعَكَ وَلْيَأْخُذُوا حِذْرَهُمْ وَاَسْلِحَتَهُمْۚ وَدَّ الَّذ۪ينَ كَفَرُوا لَوْ تَغْفُلُونَ عَنْ اَسْلِحَتِكُمْ وَاَمْتِعَتِكُمْ فَيَم۪يلُونَ عَلَيْكُمْ مَيْلَةً وَاحِدَةًۜ وَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْكُمْ اِنْ كَانَ بِكُمْ اَذًى مِنْ مَطَرٍ اَوْ كُنْتُمْ مَرْضٰٓى اَنْ تَضَعُٓوا اَسْلِحَتَكُمْۚ وَخُذُوا حِذْرَكُمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ اَعَدَّ لِلْكَافِر۪ينَ عَذَاباً مُه۪يناً Wa-itha kunta feehim faaqamta lahumuassalata faltaqum ta-ifatun minhummaAAaka walya/khuthoo aslihatahum fa-ithasajadoo falyakoonoo min wara-ikum walta/ti ta-ifatunokhra lam yusalloo falyusalloo maAAakawalya/khuthoo hithrahum waaslihatahumwadda allatheena kafaroo law taghfuloona AAan aslihatikumwaamtiAAatikum fayameeloona AAalaykum maylatan wahidatanwala junaha AAalaykum in kana bikum athanmin matarin aw kuntum marda an tadaAAoo aslihatakumwakhuthoo hithrakum inna AllahaaAAadda lilkafireena AAathaban muheena And when thou art among them, uphold thou the duty for them; then let there stand a number of them with thee, and let them take their arms; then when they have submitted, let them be behind you and let another number come that has not performed the duty, and let them perform the duty with thee; and let them take their precautions and their arms. (Those who ignore warning wish that you would neglect your arms and your equipment, so they might assault you in a single assault; but you do no wrong if there is a hindrance to you from rain or you are sick, that you lay aside your arms; but take your precautions: God has prepared for the false claimers of guidance a humiliating punishment.) _https://quran.so/surah-an-nisa/verse-102.md_ ### 4. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 5 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ — l-ākhirati · "the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case اَلْيَوْمَ اُحِلَّ لَكُمُ الطَّيِّبَاتُۜ وَطَعَامُ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ حِلٌّ لَكُمْۖ وَطَعَامُكُمْ حِلٌّ لَهُمْۘ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنَاتِ وَالْمُحْصَنَاتُ مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ اِذَٓا اٰتَيْتُمُوهُنَّ اُجُورَهُنَّ مُحْصِن۪ينَ غَيْرَ مُسَافِح۪ينَ وَلَا مُتَّخِذ۪ٓي اَخْدَانٍۜ وَمَنْ يَكْفُرْ بِالْا۪يمَانِ فَقَدْ حَبِطَ عَمَلُهُۘ وَهُوَ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ مِنَ الْخَاسِر۪ينَ۟ Alyawma ohilla lakumu attayyibatuwataAAamu allatheena ootoo alkitaba hillunlakum wataAAamukum hillun lahum walmuhsanatumina almu/minati walmuhsanatu minaallatheena ootoo alkitaba min qablikum itha ataytumoohunnaojoorahunna muhsineena ghayra musafiheenawala muttakhithee akhdanin waman yakfur bil-eemanifaqad habita AAamaluhu wahuwa fee al-akhiratimina alkhasireen This day are good things made lawful for you; and the food of those given the Writ is lawful for you, and your food is lawful for them, as are chaste women among the believing women and chaste women among those given the Writ before you, when you have given them their dowries, being chaste and not fornicators, nor taking secret friends. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 33 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ — l-ākhirati · "the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case اِنَّمَا جَزٰٓؤُا الَّذ۪ينَ يُحَارِبُونَ اللّٰهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَيَسْعَوْنَ فِي الْاَرْضِ فَسَاداً اَنْ يُقَتَّلُٓوا اَوْ يُصَلَّـبُٓوا اَوْ تُقَطَّعَ اَيْد۪يهِمْ وَاَرْجُلُهُمْ مِنْ خِلَافٍ اَوْ يُنْفَوْا مِنَ الْاَرْضِۜ ذٰلِكَ لَهُمْ خِزْيٌ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَلَهُمْ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظ۪يمٌۙ Innama jazao allatheenayuhariboona Allaha warasoolahu wayasAAawna feeal-ardi fasadan an yuqattaloo aw yusallabooaw tuqattaAAa aydeehim waarjuluhum min khilafin awyunfaw mina al-ardi thalika lahum khizyun fee addunyawalahum fee al-akhirati AAathabun AAatheem The reward but of those who war against God and His messenger, and strive to work corruption in the land, that they be killed, or they be crucified, or their hands and feet be cut off on opposite sides, or they be banished from the land. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 41 - **Form in this verse:** ءَاخَرِينَ — ākharīna · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, plural · genitive case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الرَّسُولُ لَا يَحْزُنْكَ الَّذ۪ينَ يُسَارِعُونَ فِي الْكُفْرِ مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ قَالُٓوا اٰمَنَّا بِاَفْوَاهِهِمْ وَلَمْ تُؤْمِنْ قُلُوبُهُمْۚ وَمِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ هَادُوا سَمَّاعُونَ لِلْكَذِبِ سَمَّاعُونَ لِقَوْمٍ اٰخَر۪ينَۙ لَمْ يَأْتُوكَۜ يُحَرِّفُونَ الْكَلِمَ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَوَاضِعِه۪ۚ يَقُولُونَ اِنْ اُو۫ت۪يتُمْ هٰذَا فَخُذُوهُ وَاِنْ لَمْ تُؤْتَوْهُ فَاحْذَرُواۜ وَمَنْ يُرِدِ اللّٰهُ فِتْنَتَهُ فَلَنْ تَمْلِكَ لَهُ مِنَ اللّٰهِ شَيْـٔاًۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ الَّذ۪ينَ لَمْ يُرِدِ اللّٰهُ اَنْ يُطَهِّرَ قُلُوبَهُمْۜ لَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا خِزْيٌ وَلَهُمْ فِي الْاٰخِرَةِ عَذَابٌ عَظ۪يمٌ Ya ayyuha arrasoolu layahzunka allatheena yusariAAoona fee alkufrimina allatheena qaloo amanna bi-afwahihimwalam tu/min quloobuhum wamina allatheena hadoosammaAAoona lilkathibi sammaAAoona liqawmin akhareenalam ya/tooka yuharrifoona alkalima min baAAdi mawadiAAihiyaqooloona in ooteetum hatha fakhuthoohu wa-in lamtu/tawhu fahtharoo waman yuridi Allahufitnatahu falan tamlika lahu mina Allahi shay-an ola-ikaallatheena lam yuridi Allahu an yutahhiraquloobahum lahum fee addunya khizyun walahum feeal-akhirati AAathabun AAatheem O Messenger: let there not grieve thee those who compete in denial among those who say: “We believe,” with their mouths, when their hearts have not believed. And among those who hold to Judaism are eager listeners to lies, eager listeners to another people who have not come to thee (they twist words from their places, saying “If this be given you, receive it; but if it be not given you, beware!” And whom God wishes to try: thou wilt not have power for him against God in anything. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 106 - **Form in this verse:** ءَاخَرَانِ — ākharāni · "two others" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, dual · nominative case يَٓا اَيُّهَا الَّذ۪ينَ اٰمَنُوا شَهَادَةُ بَيْنِكُمْ اِذَا حَضَرَ اَحَدَكُمُ الْمَوْتُ ح۪ينَ الْوَصِيَّةِ اثْنَانِ ذَوَا عَدْلٍ مِنْكُمْ اَوْ اٰخَرَانِ مِنْ غَيْرِكُمْ اِنْ اَنْتُمْ ضَرَبْتُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ فَاَصَابَتْكُمْ مُص۪يبَةُ الْمَوْتِۜ تَحْبِسُونَهُمَا مِنْ بَعْدِ الصَّلٰوةِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللّٰهِ اِنِ ارْتَبْتُمْ لَا نَشْتَر۪ي بِه۪ ثَمَناً وَلَوْ كَانَ ذَا قُرْبٰىۙ وَلَا نَكْتُمُ شَهَادَةَ اللّٰهِ اِنَّٓا اِذاً لَمِنَ الْاٰثِم۪ينَ Ya ayyuha allatheena amanooshahadatu baynikum itha hadara ahadakumualmawtu heena alwasiyyati ithnani thawaAAadlin minkum aw akharani min ghayrikum in antum darabtumfee al-ardi faasabatkum museebatu almawti tahbisoonahumamin baAAdi assalati fayuqsimani billahiini irtabtum la nashtaree bihi thamanan walaw kana thaqurba wala naktumu shahadata Allahiinna ithan lamina al-athimeen O you who heed warning: a witness between you when death approaches one of you at the time of bequest is two just men among you; or two others from other than yourselves if you are travelling in the earth when the calamity of death befalls you. Detain them after the duty, and they shall swear by God, if you doubt: “We would not sell it for a price, though he were a relative, nor will we conceal the witness of God; then would we be among the sinners.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-106.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-Ma'idah, Verse 107 - **Form in this verse:** فَـَٔاخَرَانِ — faākharāni · "then (let) two others" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, dual · nominative case فَاِنْ عُثِرَ عَلٰٓى اَنَّهُمَا اسْتَحَقَّٓا اِثْماً فَاٰخَرَانِ يَقُومَانِ مَقَامَهُمَا مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اسْتَحَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ الْاَوْلَيَانِ فَيُقْسِمَانِ بِاللّٰهِ لَشَهَادَتُـنَٓا اَحَقُّ مِنْ شَهَادَتِهِمَا وَمَا اعْتَدَيْنَاۘ اِنَّٓا اِذاً لَمِنَ الظَّالِم۪ينَ Fa-in AAuthira AAala annahumaistahaqqa ithman faakharani yaqoomanimaqamahuma mina allatheena istahaqqaAAalayhimu al-awlayani fayuqsimani billahilashahadatuna ahaqqu min shahadatihimawama iAAtadayna inna ithan lamina aththalimeen But if it be found that they have laid claim in sin, then two others shall stand in their place — the two foremost from those that lay claim — and let them swear by God: “Our witness is worthier than their witness; and we have not transgressed: then would we be among the wrongdoers.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-maidah/verse-107.md_ ### 5. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 6 - **Form in this verse:** ءَاخَرِينَ — ākharīna · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, plural · accusative case اَلَمْ يَرَوْا كَمْ اَهْلَكْنَا مِنْ قَبْلِهِمْ مِنْ قَرْنٍ مَكَّنَّاهُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ مَا لَمْ نُمَكِّنْ لَكُمْ وَاَرْسَلْنَا السَّمَٓاءَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِدْرَاراًۖ وَجَعَلْنَا الْاَنْهَارَ تَجْر۪ي مِنْ تَحْتِهِمْ فَاَهْلَكْنَاهُمْ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَاَنْشَأْنَا مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ قَرْناً اٰخَر۪ينَ Alam yaraw kam ahlakna min qablihimmin qarnin makkannahum fee al-ardi ma lamnumakkin lakum waarsalna assamaa AAalayhimmidraran wajaAAalna al-anhara tajree min tahtihimfaahlaknahum bithunoobihim waansha/na minbaAAdihim qarnan akhareen Have they not considered how many a generation We destroyed before them? We established them in the earth as We have not established you, and We sent the sky upon them in abundant rains and made the rivers flow beneath them; then We destroyed them for their transgressions, and produced after them another generation. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-6.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 19 - **Form in this verse:** أُخْرَىٰ ۚ — ukh'rā · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · feminine, singular · accusative case قُلْ اَيُّ شَيْءٍ اَكْبَرُ شَهَادَةًۜ قُلِ اللّٰهُ شَه۪يدٌ بَيْن۪ي وَبَيْنَكُمْ وَاُو۫حِيَ اِلَيَّ هٰذَا الْقُرْاٰنُ لِاُنْذِرَكُمْ بِه۪ وَمَنْ بَلَغَۜ اَئِنَّكُمْ لَتَشْهَدُونَ اَنَّ مَعَ اللّٰهِ اٰلِهَةً اُخْرٰىۜ قُلْ لَٓا اَشْهَدُۚ قُلْ اِنَّمَا هُوَ اِلٰهٌ وَاحِدٌ وَاِنَّن۪ي بَر۪ٓيءٌ مِمَّا تُشْرِكُونَۢ Qul ayyu shay-in akbaru shahadatanquli Allahu shaheedun baynee wabaynakum waoohiyailayya hatha alqur-anu li-onthirakum bihiwaman balagha a-innakum latashhadoona anna maAAa Allahi alihatanokhra qul la ashhadu qul innama huwa ilahunwahidun wa-innanee baree-on mimma tushrikoon Say thou: “What thing is greatest in witness?” Say thou: “God is witness between me and you; and this Qur’an has been revealed to me that I might warn you thereby, and whom it reaches. Do you bear witness that there are other gods with God?” Say thou: “I bear not witness.” Say thou: “He is but One God, and I am quit of that to which you ascribe a partnership.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-19.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 133 - **Form in this verse:** ءَاخَرِينَ — ākharīna · "other" - **Grammar:** adjective · masculine, plural · genitive case وَرَبُّكَ الْغَنِيُّ ذُوالرَّحْمَةِۜ اِنْ يَشَأْ يُذْهِبْكُمْ وَيَسْتَخْلِفْ مِنْ بَعْدِكُمْ مَا يَشَٓاءُ كَمَٓا اَنْشَاَكُمْ مِنْ ذُرِّيَّةِ قَوْمٍ اٰخَر۪ينَۜ Warabbuka alghaniyyu thoo arrahmatiin yasha/ yuthhibkum wayastakhlif min baAAdikum mayashao kama anshaakum min thurriyyati qawminakhareen And thy Lord is the Free from Need, the Possessor of Mercy. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 150 - **Form in this verse:** بِٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ — bil-ākhirati · "in the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case قُلْ هَلُمَّ شُهَدَٓاءَكُمُ الَّذ۪ينَ يَشْهَدُونَ اَنَّ اللّٰهَ حَرَّمَ هٰذَاۚ فَاِنْ شَهِدُوا فَلَا تَشْهَدْ مَعَهُمْۚ وَلَا تَتَّبِعْ اَهْوَٓاءَ الَّذ۪ينَ كَذَّبُوا بِاٰيَاتِنَا وَالَّذ۪ينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِالْاٰخِرَةِ وَهُمْ بِرَبِّهِمْ يَعْدِلُونَ۟ Qul halumma shuhadaakumu allatheenayashhadoona anna Allaha harrama hatha fa-inshahidoo fala tashhad maAAahum wala tattabiAA ahwaaallatheena kaththaboo bi-ayatinawallatheena la yu/minoona bil-akhiratiwahum birabbihim yaAAdiloon Say thou: “Bring your witnesses who bear witness that God has made this unlawful.” Then if they bear witness, bear thou not witness with them; and follow thou not the vain desires of those who deny Our proofs and those who believe not in the Hereafter; and they ascribe equals to their Lord. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-150.md_ ### 6. Surah Al-An'am, Verse 164 - **Form in this verse:** أُخْرَىٰ ۚ — ukh'rā · "(of) another" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case قُلْ اَغَيْرَ اللّٰهِ اَبْغ۪ي رَباًّ وَهُوَ رَبُّ كُلِّ شَيْءٍۜ وَلَا تَكْسِبُ كُلُّ نَفْسٍ اِلَّا عَلَيْهَاۚ وَلَا تَزِرُ وَازِرَةٌ وِزْرَ اُخْرٰىۚ ثُمَّ اِلٰى رَبِّكُمْ مَرْجِعُكُمْ فَيُنَبِّئُكُمْ بِمَا كُنْتُمْ ف۪يهِ تَخْتَلِفُونَ Qul aghayra Allahi abghee rabbanwahuwa rabbu kulli shay-in wala taksibu kullu nafsin illaAAalayha wala taziru waziratun wizra okhrathumma ila rabbikum marjiAAukum fayunabbi-okum bimakuntum feehi takhtalifoon Say thou: “Is it other than God I should desire as Lord when He is Lord of all things?” And every soul earns not save for itself, and no bearer bears the burden of another; then to your Lord is your return, and He will inform you of that wherein you differed. _https://quran.so/surah-al-anam/verse-164.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 38 - **Form in this verse:** أُخْرَىٰهُمْ — ukh'rāhum · "(the) last of them" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · nominative case قَالَ ادْخُلُوا ف۪ٓي اُمَمٍ قَدْ خَلَتْ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ مِنَ الْجِنِّ وَالْاِنْسِ فِي النَّارِۜ كُلَّمَا دَخَلَتْ اُمَّةٌ لَعَنَتْ اُخْتَهَاۜ حَتّٰٓى اِذَا ادَّارَكُوا ف۪يهَا جَم۪يعاًۙ قَالَتْ اُخْرٰيهُمْ لِاُو۫لٰيهُمْ رَبَّنَا هٰٓؤُ۬لَٓاءِ اَضَلُّونَا فَاٰتِهِمْ عَذَاباً ضِعْفاً مِنَ النَّارِۜ قَالَ لِكُلٍّ ضِعْفٌ وَلٰكِنْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ Qala odkhuloo fee omamin qad khalatmin qablikum mina aljinni wal-insi fee annarikullama dakhalat ommatun laAAanat okhtaha hattaitha iddarakoo feeha jameeAAan qalatokhrahum li-oolahum rabbana haola-iadalloona faatihim AAathaban diAAfanmina annari qala likullin diAAfunwalakin la taAAlamoon He will say: “Enter among the communities that have passed away before you of domini and servi into the Fire!” Whenever a community enters, it curses its sister; when they have followed one another therein all together, the last of them will say to the first of them: “Our Lord: these led us astray; so give Thou them double punishment of the Fire!” He will say: “For each is double, but you know not.” _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-38.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 156 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ — l-ākhirati · "the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case وَاكْتُبْ لَنَا ف۪ي هٰذِهِ الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْاٰخِرَةِ اِنَّا هُدْنَٓا اِلَيْكَۜ قَالَ عَذَاب۪ٓي اُص۪يبُ بِه۪ مَنْ اَشَٓاءُۚ وَرَحْمَت۪ي وَسِعَتْ كُلَّ شَيْءٍۜ فَسَاَكْتُبُهَا لِلَّذ۪ينَ يَتَّقُونَ وَيُؤْتُونَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَالَّذ۪ينَ هُمْ بِاٰيَاتِنَا يُؤْمِنُونَۚ Waktub lana fee hathihiaddunya hasanatan wafee al-akhiratiinna hudna ilayka qala AAathabee oseebubihi man ashao warahmatee wasiAAat kulla shay-infasaaktubuha lillatheena yattaqoona wayu/toona azzakatawallatheena hum bi-ayatinayu/minoon “And prescribe Thou for us in the World good, and in the Hereafter; we have returned to Thee.” He said: “I strike with My punishment whom I will; but My mercy encompasses all things: I will ordain it for those of prudent fear, and who render the purity, and those who believe in Our proofs: _https://quran.so/surah-al-araf/verse-156.md_ ### 7. Surah Al-A'raf, Verse 169 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةُ — l-ākhiratu · "(of) the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** adjective · feminine, singular · nominative case فَخَلَفَ مِنْ بَعْدِهِمْ خَلْفٌ وَرِثُوا الْكِتَابَ يَأْخُذُونَ عَرَضَ هٰذَا الْاَدْنٰى وَيَقُولُونَ سَيُغْفَرُ لَنَاۚ وَاِنْ يَأْتِهِمْ عَرَضٌ مِثْلُهُ يَأْخُذُوهُۜ اَلَمْ يُؤْخَذْ عَلَيْهِمْ م۪يثَاقُ الْكِتَابِ اَنْ لَا يَقُولُوا عَلَى اللّٰهِ اِلَّا الْحَقَّ وَدَرَسُوا مَا ف۪يهِۜ وَالدَّارُ الْاٰخِرَةُ خَيْرٌ لِلَّذ۪ينَ يَتَّقُونَۜ اَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ Fakhalafa min baAAdihim khalfun warithooalkitaba ya/khuthoona AAarada hathaal-adna wayaqooloona sayughfaru lana wa-in ya/tihimAAaradun mithluhu ya/khuthoohu alam yu/khathAAalayhim meethaqu alkitabi an la yaqoolooAAala Allahi illa alhaqqa wadarasoo mafeehi waddaru al-akhiratu khayrun lillatheenayattaqoona afala taAAqiloon And there followed after them successors who inherited the Writ, taking the goods of this fleeting life, and saying: “It will be forgiven us.” And if there come to them goods the like thereof, they will take them. Has there not been taken from them an agreement to the Writ, that they ascribe not to God save the truth, and that they study what is therein? Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 60 - **Form in this verse:** وَءَاخَرِينَ — waākharīna · "and others" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · accusative case وَاَعِدُّوا لَهُمْ مَا اسْتَطَعْتُمْ مِنْ قُوَّةٍ وَمِنْ رِبَاطِ الْخَيْلِ تُرْهِبُونَ بِه۪ عَدُوَّ اللّٰهِ وَعَدُوَّكُمْ وَاٰخَر۪ينَ مِنْ دُونِهِمْۚ لَا تَعْلَمُونَهُمْۚ اَللّٰهُ يَعْلَمُهُمْۜ وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ شَيْءٍ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِ يُوَفَّ اِلَيْكُمْ وَاَنْتُمْ لَا تُظْلَمُونَ WaaAAiddoo lahum ma istataAAtummin quwwatin wamin ribati alkhayli turhiboona bihiAAaduwwa Allahi waAAaduwwakum waakhareena mindoonihim la taAAlamoonahumu Allahu yaAAlamuhum wamatunfiqoo min shay-in fee sabeeli Allahi yuwaffa ilaykumwaantum la tuthlamoon And prepare for them what you are able of forces and of cavalry, to terrify thereby the enemy of God, and your enemy, and others besides them whom you know not; God knows them. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 19 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ — l-ākhiri · "the Last" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, singular · genitive case اَجَعَلْتُمْ سِقَايَةَ الْحَٓاجِّ وَعِمَارَةَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ كَمَنْ اٰمَنَ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَجَاهَدَ ف۪ي سَب۪يلِ اللّٰهِۜ لَا يَسْتَوُ۫نَ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِۜ وَاللّٰهُ لَا يَهْدِي الْقَوْمَ الظَّالِم۪ينَۢ AjaAAaltum siqayata alhajjiwaAAimarata almasjidi alharami kaman amanabillahi walyawmi al-akhiri wajahadafee sabeeli Allahi la yastawoona AAinda Allahiwallahu la yahdee alqawma aththalimeen Have you made the giving of water to the pilgrim and the inhabiting of the inviolable place of worship like him who believes in God and the Last Day and strives in the cause of God? Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 29 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ — l-ākhiri · "the Last" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, singular · genitive case قَاتِلُوا الَّذ۪ينَ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ بِاللّٰهِ وَلَا بِالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَلَا يُحَرِّمُونَ مَا حَرَّمَ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُولُهُ وَلَا يَد۪ينُونَ د۪ينَ الْحَقِّ مِنَ الَّذ۪ينَ اُو۫تُوا الْكِتَابَ حَتّٰى يُعْطُوا الْجِزْيَةَ عَنْ يَدٍ وَهُمْ صَاغِرُونَ۟ Qatiloo allatheena layu/minoona billahi wala bilyawmial-akhiri wala yuharrimoona ma harramaAllahu warasooluhu wala yadeenoona deena alhaqqimina allatheena ootoo alkitaba hattayuAAtoo aljizyata AAan yadin wahum saghiroon Fight those who believe not in God or the Last Day, and make not unlawful what God and His messenger have made unlawful, and adhere not to the doctrine of truth among those given the Writ, until they make reparation under supervision when they are brought low. _https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-29.md_ ### 9. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 69 - **Form in this verse:** وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۖ — wal-ākhirati · "and (in) the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case كَالَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ كَانُٓوا اَشَدَّ مِنْكُمْ قُوَّةً وَاَكْثَرَ اَمْوَالاً وَاَوْلَاداًۜ فَاسْتَمْتَعُوا بِخَلَاقِهِمْ فَاسْتَمْتَعْتُمْ بِخَلَاقِكُمْ كَمَا اسْتَمْتَعَ الَّذ۪ينَ مِنْ قَبْلِكُمْ بِخَلَاقِهِمْ وَخُضْتُمْ كَالَّذ۪ي خَاضُواۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ حَبِطَتْ اَعْمَالُهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَاُو۬لٰٓئِكَ هُمُ الْخَاسِرُونَ Kallatheena min qablikum kanooashadda minkum quwwatan waakthara amwalan waawladanfastamtaAAoo bikhalaqihim fastamtaAAtumbikhalaqikum kama istamtaAAa allatheena minqablikum bikhalaqihim wakhudtum kallatheekhadoo ola-ika habitat aAAmaluhumfee addunya wal-akhirati waola-ikahumu alkhasiroon Like those before you, stronger than you in might and greater in wealth and children: they enjoyed their lot. And you have enjoyed your lot as they enjoyed their lot who were before you; and you have discoursed vainly like those discoursed vainly; those: their works are vain in the World and the Hereafter; and it is they who are the losers. _https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-69.md_ ### 9. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 74 - **Form in this verse:** وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚ — wal-ākhirati · "and (in) the Hereafter" - **Grammar:** noun · feminine, singular · genitive case يَحْلِفُونَ بِاللّٰهِ مَا قَالُواۜ وَلَقَدْ قَالُوا كَلِمَةَ الْكُفْرِ وَكَفَرُوا بَعْدَ اِسْلَامِهِمْ وَهَمُّوا بِمَا لَمْ يَنَالُواۚ وَمَا نَقَمُٓوا اِلَّٓا اَنْ اَغْنٰيهُمُ اللّٰهُ وَرَسُولُهُ مِنْ فَضْلِه۪ۚ فَاِنْ يَتُوبُوا يَكُ خَيْراً لَهُمْۚ وَاِنْ يَتَوَلَّوْا يُعَذِّبْهُمُ اللّٰهُ عَذَاباً اَل۪يماً فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالْاٰخِرَةِۚ وَمَا لَهُمْ فِي الْاَرْضِ مِنْ وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَص۪يرٍ Yahlifoona billahi maqaloo walaqad qaloo kalimata alkufri wakafaroobaAAda islamihim wahammoo bima lam yanaloowama naqamoo illa an aghnahumu Allahuwarasooluhu min fadlihi fa-in yatooboo yaku khayran lahumwa-in yatawallaw yuAAaththibhumu Allahu AAathabanaleeman fee addunya wal-akhiratiwama lahum fee al-ardi min waliyyin wala naseer They swear by God that they did not say — when they did say — the word of denial, and denied after their submission. And they purposed what they have not reached; and they resented only that God and His messenger enriched them of His bounty. Then if they repent, it will be better for them; and if they turn away, God will punish them with a painful punishment in the World and the Hereafter; and they will not have in the earth any ally or helper. _https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-74.md_ ### 9. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 99 - **Form in this verse:** ٱلْـَٔاخِرِ — l-ākhiri · "the Last" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, singular · genitive case وَمِنَ الْاَعْرَابِ مَنْ يُؤْمِنُ بِاللّٰهِ وَالْيَوْمِ الْاٰخِرِ وَيَتَّخِذُ مَا يُنْفِقُ قُرُبَاتٍ عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ وَصَلَوَاتِ الرَّسُولِۜ اَلَٓا اِنَّهَا قُرْبَةٌ لَهُمْۜ سَيُدْخِلُهُمُ اللّٰهُ ف۪ي رَحْمَتِه۪ۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ۟ Wamina al-aAArabi man yu/minu billahiwalyawmi al-akhiri wayattakhithu mayunfiqu qurubatin AAinda Allahi wasalawatiarrasooli ala innaha qurbatun lahumsayudkhiluhumu Allahu fee rahmatihi inna Allahaghafoorun raheem And among the desert Arabs is he who believes in God and the Last Day, and takes what he spends as a means of nearness to God and the duties of the Messenger. In truth, it is a means of nearness for them: God will make them enter into His mercy; God is forgiving and merciful. _https://quran.so/surah-at-tawbah/verse-99.md_ ### 9. Surah At-Tawbah, Verse 102 - **Form in this verse:** وَءَاخَرُونَ — waākharūna · "And others" - **Grammar:** noun · masculine, plural · nominative case وَاٰخَرُونَ اعْتَرَفُوا بِذُنُوبِهِمْ خَلَطُوا عَمَلاً صَالِحاً وَاٰخَرَ سَيِّئاًۜ عَسَى اللّٰهُ اَنْ يَتُوبَ عَلَيْهِمْۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ غَفُورٌ رَح۪يمٌ Waakharoona iAAtarafoo bithunoobihimkhalatoo AAamalan salihan waakharasayyi-an AAasa Allahu an yatooba AAalayhim inna Allahaghafoorun raheem And others acknowledged their transgressions: they mixed a righteous deed with another of evil.
