We will cast into the hearts of those who ignore warning terror because they have ascribed a partnership with God to that for which He sent not down authority; and their shelter is the Fire; and evil is the dwelling of the wrongdoers.

Is then he who seeks the approval of God like one who incurs wrath from God, and whose shelter is Gehenna? And evil is the journey’s end.

Inna allatheena tawaffahumualmala-ikatu thalimee anfusihim qaloofeema kuntum qaloo kunna mustadAAafeena feeal-ardi qaloo alam takun ardu AllahiwasiAAatan fatuhajiroo feeha faola-ikama/wahum jahannamu wasaat maseera

Those whom the angels take wronging their souls — they say: “In what condition were you?” Say they: “We were oppressed in the land.” They say: “Was not God’s earth spacious for you to emigrate therein?” — those: their shelter is Gehenna; and evil is it as a journey’s end;

Laqad kafara allatheena qalooinna Allaha huwa almaseehu ibnu maryama waqalaalmaseehu ya banee isra-eela oAAbudoo Allaharabbee warabbakum innahu man yushrik billahi faqadharrama Allahu AAalayhi aljannata wama/wahuannaru wama liththalimeenamin ansar

They have denied who say: “God is the Messiah, son of Mary.” And the Messiah said: “O children of Israel: serve God, my Lord and your Lord; whoso ascribes a partnership to God, him has God forbidden the Garden, and his shelter is the Fire; and for the wrongdoers there are no helpers.”

Waman yuwallihim yawma-ithin duburahuilla mutaharrifan liqitalin aw mutahayyizanila fi-atin faqad baa bighadabin mina Allahiwama/wahu jahannamu wabi/sa almaseer

And whoso, that day, turns his back to them save as a manoeuvre for battle, or joining a company, he has incurred wrath from God; and his shelter is Gehenna; and evil is the journey’s end.

### 8. Surah Al-Anfal, Verse 26

Wathkuroo ith antumqaleelun mustadAAafoona fee al-ardi takhafoonaan yatakhattafakumu annasu faawakumwaayyadakum binasrihi warazaqakum mina attayyibatilaAAallakum tashkuroon

And remember when you were few and oppressed in the land, fearing that the people would snatch you away, but He gave you refuge, and strengthened you with His help, and provided you with good things, that you might be grateful.

Inna allatheena amanoo wahajaroowajahadoo bi-amwalihim waanfusihim fee sabeeli Allahiwallatheena awaw wanasaroo ola-ikabaAAduhum awliyao baAAdin wallatheenaamanoo walam yuhajiroo ma lakum min walayatihimmin shay-in hatta yuhajiroo wa-ini istansarookumfee addeeni faAAalaykumu annasru illaAAala qawmin baynakum wabaynahum meethaqun wallahubima taAAmaloona baseer

Those who heeded warning, and emigrated, and strove with their property and their lives in the cause of God, and those who gave shelter and helped: those are allies one of another. And those who heed warning but have not emigrated: you are not required to protect them from anything until they emigrate; and if they seek help from you within the doctrine, you are required to help save against a people between whom and you is an agreement; and God sees what you do.

Wallatheena amanoo wahajaroowajahadoo fee sabeeli Allahi wallatheenaawaw wanasaroo ola-ika humu almu/minoona haqqanlahum maghfiratun warizqun kareem

And those who heed warning, and emigrate, and strive in the cause of God, and those who give shelter and help: it is they who are the believers in truth; they have forgiveness and a noble provision.

O Prophet: strive thou against the atheists and the waverers, and be thou harsh with them; and their shelter is Gehenna; and evil is the journey’s end.

Sayahlifoona billahilakum itha inqalabtum ilayhim lituAAridoo AAanhumfaaAAridoo AAanhum innahum rijsun wama/wahumjahannamu jazaan bima kanoo yaksiboon

They will swear by God to you when you return to them, that you might let them be. So let them be, for they are an abomination, and their shelter is Gehenna; a reward for what they earned.

Qala saawee ila jabalinyaAAsimunee mina alma-i qala la AAasimaalyawma min amri Allahi illa man rahima wahalabaynahuma almawju fakana mina almughraqeen

Said he: “I will take shelter in a mountain that will protect me from the water.” He said: “There is no protector this day from the command of God save for him upon whom He has mercy.” And the waves came between them; and he was among the drowned.

And when they entered upon Joseph, he took his brother to himself; he said: “I am thy brother, so despair thou not at what they did.”

لِلَّذ۪ينَ اسْتَجَابُوا لِرَبِّهِمُ الْحُسْنٰىۜ وَالَّذ۪ينَ لَمْ يَسْتَج۪يبُوا لَهُ لَوْ اَنَّ لَهُمْ مَا فِي الْاَرْضِ جَم۪يعاً وَمِثْلَهُ مَعَهُ لَافْتَدَوْا بِه۪ۜ اُو۬لٰٓئِكَ لَهُمْ سُٓوءُ الْحِسَابِۙ وَمَأْوٰيهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۜ وَبِئْسَ الْمِهَادُ۟

Lillatheena istajaboolirabbihimu alhusna wallatheena lamyastajeeboo lahu law anna lahum ma fee al-ardijameeAAan wamithlahu maAAahu laftadaw bihi ola-ikalahum soo-o alhisabi wama/wahum jahannamuwabi/sa almihad

For those who respond to their Lord is the best; and those who respond not to Him: had they all that is in the earth altogether, and the like thereof with it, they would seek to ransom themselves thereby. Those have an evil reckoning, and their shelter is Gehenna; and evil is the resting-place.

وَمَنْ يَهْدِ اللّٰهُ فَهُوَ الْمُهْتَدِۚ وَمَنْ يُضْلِلْ فَلَنْ تَجِدَ لَهُمْ اَوْلِيَٓاءَ مِنْ دُونِه۪ۜ وَنَحْشُرُهُمْ يَوْمَ الْقِيٰمَةِ عَلٰى وُجُوهِهِمْ عُمْياً وَبُكْماً وَصُماًّۜ مَأْوٰيهُمْ جَهَنَّمُۜ  كُلَّمَا خَبَتْ زِدْنَاهُمْ سَع۪يراً

Waman yahdi Allahu fahuwa almuhtadiwaman yudlil falan tajida lahum awliyaa min doonihiwanahshuruhum yawma alqiyamati AAalawujoohihim AAumyan wabukman wasumman ma/wahumjahannamu kullama khabat zidnahum saAAeera

And whom God guides, he is guided; and whom He sends astray, for them thou wilt find no allies besides Him. And We will gather them on the Day of Resurrection on their faces — blind and dumb and deaf — their shelter is Gehenna; whenever it subsides, We will increase for them an inferno.

(When the young men took shelter in the cave and said: “Our Lord: give Thou us mercy from Thyself, and furnish Thou us out of our affair with rectitude,”

Wa-ithi iAAtazaltumoohum wamayaAAbudoona illa Allaha fa/woo ila alkahfiyanshur lakum rabbukum min rahmatihi wayuhayyi/ lakum minamrikum mirfaqa

“And when you have withdrawn from them and what they serve save God, take shelter in the cave. Your Lord will unfurl for you out of His mercy, and furnish you out of your affair all that you need.”

Qala araayta ith awaynaila assakhrati fa-innee naseetu alhootawama ansaneehu illa ashshaytanuan athkurahu wattakhatha sabeelahu fee albahriAAajaba

Said he: “Hast thou considered? When we took shelter at the rock, then I forgot the fish — and there caused me to forget it only the satan, lest I should remember it — and it took its path into the sea, amazingly.”

And We made the son of Mary and his mother a proof, and We gave them shelter upon high ground: a fixed lodging and a running spring.

Think not that those who ignore warning can escape in the earth; and their shelter is the Fire, and evil is the journey’s end.

Waqala innama ittakhathtummin dooni Allahi awthanan mawaddata baynikum fee alhayatiaddunya thumma yawma alqiyamati yakfurubaAAdukum bibaAAdin wayalAAanu baAAdukumbaAAdan wama-wakumu annaru wamalakum min nasireen

And he said: “You have but taken, besides God, idols as love between you in the life of this world. Then on the Day of Resurrection will you deny each other, and curse each other; and your shelter will be the Fire, and you will have no helpers.”

### 32. Surah As-Sajdah, Verse 19

### 32. Surah As-Sajdah, Verse 20

Waamma allatheena fasaqoofama/wahumu annaru kullama aradooan yakhrujoo minha oAAeedoo feeha waqeela lahum thooqooAAathaba annari allathee kuntum bihitukaththiboon

And as for those who are perfidious: their shelter is the Fire. As often as they desire to come out therefrom, they are brought back into it; and it is said to them: “Taste the punishment of the Fire which you denied!”

### 33. Surah Al-Ahzab, Verse 51

Turjee man tashao minhunna watu/weeilayka man tashao wamani ibtaghayta mimman AAazalta falajunaha AAalayka thalika adna an taqarraaAAyunuhunna wala yahzanna wayardayna bimaataytahunna kulluhunna wallahu yaAAlamu mafee quloobikum wakana Allahu AAaleeman haleema

Thou deferest whom thou wilt of them, and thou takest to thee whom thou wilt; and whom thou desirest of those thou hast set aside: there is no blame upon thee. That tends to the comfort of their eyes, and that they grieve not, and that they be pleased with what thou givest them; and God knows what is in your hearts, and God is knowing and clement.

### 45. Surah Al-Jathiyah, Verse 34

### 66. Surah At-Tahrim, Verse 9
