Ya ayyuha allatheena amanookutiba AAalaykumu alqisasu fee alqatla alhurrubilhurri walAAabdu bilAAabdi walonthabilontha faman AAufiya lahu min akheehi shay-on fattibaAAunbilmaAAroofi waadaon ilayhi bi-ihsaninthalika takhfeefun min rabbikum warahmatun famaniiAAtada baAAda thalika falahu AAathabunaleem

O you who heed warning: just requital is ordained for you concerning those killed: the freeman for the freeman, and the slave for the slave, and the female for the female. But whoso is pardoned anything by his brother, let the pursuance be according to what is fitting and the payment to him with good conduct; that is an alleviation and mercy from your Lord. And whoso transgresses after that, he has a painful punishment.

Wa-in kuntum AAala safarin walamtajidoo katiban farihanun maqboodatun fa-inamina baAAdukum baAAdan falyu-addiallatheei/tumina amanatahu walyattaqi Allaha rabbahuwala taktumoo ashshahadata waman yaktumhafa-innahu athimun qalbuhu wallahu bimataAAmaloona AAaleem

And if you are on a journey, and find not a writer, then: a pledge in hand. But if one of you trusts another, then let him who is trusted discharge his trust, and let him be in prudent fear of God, his Lord. And conceal not the witness; and he who conceals it, his heart is sinful; and God knows what you do.

Wamin ahli alkitabi man in ta/manhubiqintarin yu-addihi ilayka waminhum man in ta/manhubideenarin la yu-addihi ilayka illa madumta AAalayhi qa-iman thalika bi-annahum qaloolaysa AAalayna fee al-ommiyyeena sabeelun wayaqooloonaAAala Allahi alkathiba wahum yaAAlamoon

And among the doctors of the Law is he who, if thou entrust him with a fortune, will deliver it to thee. And among them is he who, if thou entrust him with a dinar, will not return it to thee unless thou stand over him. For it is that they say: “We owe nothing to the unschooled”; and they ascribe the lie to God, when they know!

اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يَأْمُرُكُمْ اَنْ تُؤَدُّوا الْاَمَانَاتِ اِلٰٓى اَهْلِهَاۙ وَاِذَا حَكَمْتُمْ بَيْنَ النَّاسِ اَنْ تَحْكُمُوا بِالْعَدْلِۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ نِعِمَّا يَعِظُـكُمْ بِه۪ۜ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ  كَانَ سَم۪يعاً بَص۪يراً

Inna Allaha ya/murukum an tu-addooal-amanati ila ahliha wa-itha hakamtumbayna annasi an tahkumoo bilAAadliinna Allaha niAAimma yaAAithukum bihiinna Allaha kana sameeAAan baseera

God commands you that you deliver up trusts to their owners; and when you judge between men, that you judge with justice. Excellent is what God admonishes you to do; God is hearing and seeing.

### 44. Surah Ad-Dukhan, Verse 18
