And they swore by God their strongest oaths that if a proof came to them they would believe in it. Say thou: “The proofs are only with God.” And what will make you perceive that, if one comes, they will not believe?

They have sworn by Allah with their most earnest oaths that if a Sign comes to them they will have iman in it. Say: ‘The Signs are in Allah’s control alone.’ What will make you realise that even if a Sign did come, they would still not have iman?
And they swore by God using their strongest oaths; that if a sign came to them they would believe in it. Say: "The signs are from God; and how do you know that once it comes, that they would not disbelieve"
They swear by Allah that if a miracle comes to them, they would surely believe in it (the Book). Say, "All miracles are with Allah (if you reflect on the Universe). What can make you understand that even if a physical miracle came to them, they will find other excuses and still not believe?

Nonetheless, how do you know, you Muslims, whether the infidels will or will not favourably respond to the miraculous sign!
They solemnly swear by the Lord that they will believe, if they are exposed to a miracle. Say: "Miracle takes place at the discretion of God " For all you know, even if an undeniable miracle takes place, they will continue their disbelief.
